I was finally happy to be the first to make the move. I was invited to my friend, Gwen's party. A perfect place to ask him out. I knew he was interested in me since the first day. I would catch him glancing at me sometimes. He would smile at me. He would flirt and joke around me. I walked straight towards him, but stop when I see a friend of mine. I see my friend flirting with him, even though he doesn't seem interested. More like annoyed at her. I looks closely and realize who it is.
Gwen.
Gwen, my bestfriend. The bestfriend who knew I had a crush on him. She knew I was deeply in love with him.
Gwen? I thought to herself. I decided to sit at a table nearby. I sat there almost all day, covering my head with both of my arms. I wasn't in the mood to party or talk. I was definitely not in the mood to talk to her, my so-called 'friend', Gwen.
About three hours later, I hear someone sitting next to me. I felt a warm hand on my shoulder and looked up to see who it was.
It was him.
"Care to dance, Courtney?" He said. I nodded and got up from my seat. We headed towards the dance the floor. A slow song comes on. He wraps his arms around my waist. I smiled and so did he. We stared at each other's eyes. He leaned in and I followed and then he kissed me.
Fin.
