About 2 weeks ago, there was a question on this fan-site, asking which were the most embarrassing things we did here on Fanpop, however, I couldn't answer it because "apparently" my answer was far too long. As a result, I have decided to write an article about it, instead.

Before we begin, I want to make a disclaimer that most of the things I'll be talking about revolve around Disney's Frozen, since that's the thing I was obsessed with when I became a Fanpop member.

I've been here on Fanpop since November of 2014, and I've made some pretty embarrassing things myself. Here they are:

1.In November of 2014, when I finally became a Fanpop member, I read an article that I really liked called "Why I love Elsa". I wrote a comment on that article to express my love for Elsa, but the comment itself was very badly written and just felt lame.

2. In December of 2014, after I wrote my very first article: "Why Elsa is my favorite Disney character", I made a poll on the Disney Princess site, which was: Elsa vs Anna. A commenter chose Anna and said that she really disliked Elsa, and it saddened me so much that I called her comment offensive - when really she just wanted to express her opinion. I told her about my article, and she said that she already read my article and said that I expressed my opinion very well. I felt like a jerk, after that.

3. In December of 2014, a few days after I wrote my first article, and before chatting was introduced to Fanpop, I was sending messages to the Fanpop member: MaidofOrleans, about how much Elsa means to me, and why it hurts so much when people criticize and hate on her.
She also told me how much Belle from beauty and the Beast means to her, and why I should ignore what people say about Elsa.
I was embarrassed, because I felt like I was invading her privacy and bombarding her with messages about Elsa.

4. In early January of 2015, I wrote an article "What I like and dislike about Frozen". Back then, it might have been decent, but nowadays, it's not really that great. There were a lot unnecessary ranting and censored swearing, cliched opinions, fanboy moments that make me look like an obsessed freak, and poor grammar.

5. In Januray of 2015, I sent messages to the Fanpop member known as KataraLover, about why I disagree with his opinion on Elsa. Once again, I felt like I was bombarding him with my opinion about Elsa. He didn't reply, but I think it's for the better.

6. In February of of 2015, I wrote an article: "An analysis of Let It Go and Elsa's facial exprecions during Let It Go. " When writing that article, I also uploaded 31 images into it where I talked about Elsa's facial expressions, however, I was limited to only 20 images, so I had to publish it, and then edit it 11 times.

7. In March of 2015, KataraLover made an article where he reviewed the 2015 remake of Cinderella - but before he got to the movie, he talked about Frozen Fever, and my comment on the article was really more about the short than the actual movie. We got into an argument about the short, and it made me feel very embarrassed because my love for Frozen got in the way of the actual movie the article was about.

8. On May 2nd of 2015, I wrote two articles, where I counted down the "Top 5 movies other people hate but I like" and the "Top 5 movies other people like but I hate". I don't really think those articles are very good because both feel very rushed and pretty lazy. My opinions on most of the movies aren't that convincing and didn't really go that in-depth with them. And 5 movies for both articles is a poultry amount.

9. In early June of 2015, I wrote an article: "I believe Brotherhood is overrated and that the original is far superior." I write that article because I was angered by all the praise Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood got, because in my opinion it pales in comparison to the original, and I just didn't just didn't find it that enjoyable. I was ranting a lot during that article, as if I didn't have any respect for the people who love FMA:B.
Nowadays, I become more passive towards Brotherhood, and there are a lot more animes that I consider to be WAY more overrated!

10. In July of 2015, I wrote an article: "Top 5 reasons why The Hunchback of Notre Dame was Disney's most underrated gem." However, I didn't really write that article. There was a site where the same article exists, but someone else wrote it. I loved the article so much that I wanted to share it with people. I know Links exists, but not many people pay attention to those, so I had to copy it, instead. Sadly, it got taken down a few weeks after. Then, I decided to do it again, but it got taken down again.

11. In early September of 2015, before my Summer Vacation ended, I wrote an article about "What I want the sequel for Frozen to do". As the name implies, I wrote that article to express what was wrong with the original, and to express what I wanted the sequel to improve upon. In reality, I wrote that article to let out my anger on Jennifer Lee/Chris Buck about making Elsa a "Rapunzel rip-off".

12. In mid-September of 2015, my article made it on the front page of Fanpop, and KataraLover congratulated me. I felt embarrassed after reading his message, because I quit being his fan after we argued on YouTube about the way we express our opinions. He seemed rude and rather insensitive, so I quit being his fan. However, when he sent a message wherein he congratulated me for my article, I felt like the real jerk.

13. In early June of 2016, I wrote an article, called: "Why making Elsa for the sequel for Frozen is nonsense". Th article wasn't the problem, but part of it was. I wrote about how Sam and Frodo's relationship in the Lord of the Rings movies, felt like a relationship between a gay couple, when it reality, that's not what Tolkien wanted.
A commenter pointed out that I basically copied line for line what someone else said about their relationship. So, as to not get my article removed, I edited that part.

14. In March of 2016, I asked a question on the Random site: "What the hell does "LMAO" mean!?!"
I asked that question because I wasn't as familiar with these sort of abbreviations like most people are, and I became confused. When I asked that question, everyone poked fun of me or just outright called me an idiot.
I felt both embarrassed and stupid.

15. On December 21st, of 2016, I wrote an article: "My favorite fan-arts of Elsa" as a way to celebrate Elsa's birthday.
My article included, 40 images, however, at first, I didn't know how to insert images into my article, so I had ask people on my article to tell me how to do it. Once MaidofOrleans told me, I edited my article to do it, but I accidentally clicked the "Unpublish and Save" button, deleting all the comments it got.
While writing that article, I was very careful and anxious because I didn't want to screw it up or something to happen, so it could ruin it. I thought I was going to get a heart-attack.
Once my article was finished and all fan-arts were perfectly inserted into them, I asked all 3 Fanpop members who commented to comment again.

16. On December 24th, after I republished my article, I accidentally confused one of the commenters with the Fanpop member PrincessFairy, and I sent the message to the wrong person. Luckily, she didn't reply back.

17. About a week ago, I wrote an article: "My favorite Sun and Moon Pokemon". The article it self was good, but I forgot how to insert images of the Pokemon into them. I had to ask other people around to help me. I even asked KataraLover to help me.
Once I knew how to do it, I downloaded the images I needed, and tried to insert them in, but it didn't work.

18. I don't write many articles anymore. I'm not saying that I don't write articles, it's just that I don't write articles that quickly, like before.
Most of that has to do with my school, but it's also because I procrastinate a lot, and I'm kind of running out of ideas.
I know that I don't keep a tight schedule so I don't have to write an article every week, or so just to please fans - but personally, I take it as a sign of laziness and I fear that it might lead in a decline of quality in my writing.

The reason I wrote this article is not just because I couldn't express the embarrassing things I made on that question - but because I find this a good way of expressing all of the problems I've made, in a non-harmful way.
I'm well-aware that I'll make more embarrassing things in the future - but right now, I think it's time to leave these embarrassing memories in the past.

As always, Smell ya' Later!

I was quite shocked by the changed look of Fanpop, it looks as if it were Facebook, I have nothing against a few changes, banner designs? okay I would be fine with that, no more Icons? I would be fine with that too. But changing the whole site is a little much, don't you think? Not that theres anything wrong with it, but I do believe that I joined Fanpop, not Facebook. All I'm saying is that I believe this change was much to sudden, rushed if you would like. Thats all I'm trying to say, I don't want to be reported for this, so please understand that this is just my opinion. Tell me what you think of the new Fanpop.
