Okay, I'm writing this is an attempt to get attention! Attention for the 2009 Fanpoppy Awards.
The annual Fanpoppy Awards nominations were opened by hooch-is-crazy almost 3 days ago but it is my belief that not all Fanpoppers are aware of this event. The initial slow response to the nominations forum as well as the fact that some users have emailed me asking what the Fanpoppys are, confirms this.

Stop Hating The Changes- Most of Them...

After reading want2watchheroe's article on the changes and his defending them, I decided to say my ideas on them and how some of them make the site more accesible while others make the site a bit too much like your average wannabe MySpace. *AAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHH* No! Don't hurt me for calling it a wannabe Myspace- it ISN'T. It's one of the most distinguished websites ever made- but some of these additions aren't helping that.

1- The toolbar at the top. Some people say it makes the site a little generic. I say it just makes things faster to do by giving the links to multiple commonly used features...

I'm Dedicated!

I've been a member of Fanpop for a little under a year and have been enjoying the site immensely. I glanced at my spots, er, clubs, and saw one outlined in green. What the heck? Then I saw the dot. Oh my! Could it be? Sure enough, below "my spots" was the icon: Dedicated Fan.

I am shocked and oh so excited. I've created a few spots, and added quite a bit to several, but these spots aren't that popular. That fact is fine by me, but I doubted I'd ever get to be a Dedicated Fan (a secret desire of all Fanpoppers, I'm sure). Although I check the site daily, I don't have time to add much content (I haven't even figured out how to upload more that one picture at a time), and when I do, it's usually to a spot that doesn't get a lot of action. I'm so pleased that enough people have discovered, and hopefully enjoyed, the content I have provided.

Thank you all for allowing me to become a Dedicated Fan...next stop-Die-Hard Fan!
