I have always wondered if there were other magic markets besides Diagon Ally in England. My Family and I were doing a HP party at Barnes and Noble and my mother was talking to another mom who was actually doing a HP week with her children. She mentioned to my mom about a HP magic shop in Los Angelous. We finally jumped in the car and did a loooong drive to Los Angelous.

What an amazing store!!!! This store wasn't the tacky merchandise you can get a book store these were real things they use in the magic world in HP! They had so many spell books in the shop you couldn't beleive your eyes!!!!! (The one I got was "The Whimsic Book of spells" its one of the best spell books i own. In the book explains where wands come from, how to do a spell, and how the wizard wardrobe has come to be. Those will be future reviews of how i explain what happens so you don't have to buy the book at whimsic alley because you can't make it.) However, Whimsic Alley is most famous for their creative wands. These aren't the plastic wands you can get at Barnes and Noble, These wands are made of fine wood, including oak, willow, sycomore, and spruce. It also has a variety of house shirts, robes, scarves, and hats form Hogwarts(or as they call it Warthogs).
This store cannot use the terms in the movies and books like muggles, Hogwarts, and Diagon Alley. So to get creative they changed everything!(like americans do) So instead of muggles its muglits and Hogwarts is Warthogs. However they still use the houses in Hogwarts so its not that different.
(personal response to Whimsical Alley) If I could imagine a Diagon Alley in America Whimsical Alley would be it! The staff are so nice and the variety of merchandise is unbelievable! If you are down in the california area(southern for it is in LA) or you really want to go, save your money because it is pure HP in there! I am pretty sure for the east people that there is an Alley in New York(cause its NY!) so you won't be left out in any of the fun. I am looking forward to going to Whimsical Alley again soon, and possibly this time with friends!!!!!!
