Chapter 1:Introduction
Hey.So I bet you’re wondering why I haven’t updated my other story,right. Well….before you come at me with pitchforks and torches, let me explain. I have been having serious writer’s block and I don’t know what to do next. So go check it out,for I have posted a notice on the last chapter. Anyway, this story takes us back in the midst of WWII in Europe June 6th 1944, the day the Allies stormed the French beach of Normandy to surprise the Germans. This format will be in journal entries of Alfred, Arthur, and Matthew, the 3 countries who paricipated.It may skip around,but I have my reasons Now it’s time for some…Background History!!
The Normandy Invasion or D-Day, was an event where the Allies stormed the Normandy beachfront, turning the tide of the war.The Germans knew about the invasion, but were confused as to where it would be because of the false info the Allies gave them. Instead of attacking at Pas-De-Calasia,as first intended, they decided on Normandy.But where did such a brilliant idea come from?Well,we can thank British Lt. Gen. Sir. Fredrich Morgan, for it was his idea at the Allied meeting with a few key people. General Dwight D. Eisenhowser, the Supreme Allied General for the operation, Sir.Betram Ramsey, the Commander for the Royal British Navy, and Air Marshall Trafford-Leigh-Mallory of the Royal Air Force.So,after 2 years of planning, they finally launched their attack on June 6th, 1944 at exactly 6:00A.M.This story will take place 2 years before D-Day and will continue after D-Day to the Capturing of Berlin.There I will introduce everyone else involved. So please bare with me, for I am trying to stay as historcal as possible.
