House was at his piano playing the tune he wrote in Jr. High. The Vicodin bottle lay empty on the window sill. He would have to resort to his secret stash to get through the night.
Ring. Ring.
House limped over to his phone.
"House, are you alright?" asked Wilson in a slightly frenzied tone.
"Peachy. Why do you ask?"
"You looked like hell after Cuddy told you about the adoption. I haven't seen that look on your face since Stacy left you."
"Well, you know I have been quite constipated so that was the look you probably saw."
"Yeah, maybe you're right. It was trapped gas that made you look like your whole world was falling down around you."
"Right."
"You're upset that she didn't tell you."
"It's her life. It's her business."
"But her business, my business, is always somehow your business too. You're angry that you didn't notice any changes with her."
"Wilson, I'm not angry or upset. Cuddy can take care of herself." He said sighing heavily.
"House, she told me about the adoption because she didn't know how you would handle things. You just lost your father. You and I were having problems and she wasn't sure if you were up for anymore new changes. She wanted to tell you...
"Then she should have. I helped her before with her IVF injections. I know how much she wants children. Why would she go to you..."
"So, you're jealous because she used to confide in you when it came to this part of her life and now she's confiding in me."
"I don't get jealous."
"Wait a minute, there's something more going on here."
"Wilson, don't..."
"You feel like she's choosing this whole new life over you. God, you wanted to be her whole new life...You have feelings for her."
"I don't know what I have."
"No, House. I think that for the first time, in a long time, you do know what you have...Be there for her. She'll never say it, but she was hurt when you left the shop."
"I just needed to get out of there."
"I'm only gone four months and you finaly manage to fall in love with..."
"Don't finish that sentence."
Wilson began to laugh on the other end of the line.
"Goodnight, Wilson." House said in an annoyed voice.
"Tell her how you feel. She should know."
Before House could utter another word, Wilson hung up.

I'll tell you a little bit about myself first. No offense to hamerons, but i have always been a outright HUDDY fan.So I am obviously bouncing off the walls. When this seaseon starts, I feel like everyone has kind of abandoned House. I mean I get the whole pain in the a$$ thing but still. Wilson is the one that fixes everthing and for him to basically laugh at him when he apologizes is cruel. THe bright light at the end of the tunnel is Cuddy is going to do whatever it takes to make House happy above anyone else.
SO GO CUDDY!
SO GO CUDDY!
