Ok, first off, another WOW!! That episode didn't just happen, did it? Wasn't it great? So...let's break it down, shall we?
In this episode, we have a very interesting case that relates strongly to Gillian, and a case that messes with Eli and his ability to detect lies...(and tell the truth). We are pulled away from Cal, and we still remain hanging from that last mention of his past in 'Unchained', but they must wait for that to be covered, because right now, we are at that point in the show where we need to know more about the 'Secondary Characters', persay. So this episode was low on the Cal, but high on the Gillian and Eli, which was a nice change because I was really beginning to think that Eli was kind of a 2D character...always in the same 2 scenes, but this week, he gets as much screen time as Ria!! Horrah for all of the Loker fans out there!
As for the Gillian twist, we are finally delving into the dark past, and her current relationship with her husband. I am sad to say that the last scene indicated that Cal and Gillian may have more than a work relationship, so we better get prepared for the ships to start taking over the spot any time soon.
And finally, as for the actual plot, and the 'other' things in the episode;
My heart was racing the whole time. I am starting to see that the producers are realizing that we (the audience)does not need a close up of every single twitch and body movement that appears. So it was a nice episode to watch. The twists were pretty cool, although I'm starting to realize that anyone we see in the second scene is usually the person who gets the cuffs at the end, so I hope that changes soon.
My favorite scene had to be right at the beginning and end when Cal played 'Hot and Cold' and '20 Questions' with himself. I have to admit, that will be on my MP3 player by tonight!!
Tim's hair looked amazing, and so far as I'm concerned...I think that this is the new House.
I hope that all of the future episodes are as good as this one, because even my mom watched it! (Withought falling asleep!)

Sounds to me like there will be ALOT to deal with this season.
Personally, I think that they should have left these kind of 'typical' teenage issues out of Emily's character and out of the SHOW...but I guess we'll have to see how it plays out.
I mean, Cal is a protective father, now just imagine him discovering this from his daughter...O.o
He's going to beat himelf up about it, and (Dare I say it) even HER if this goes to far. But THAT situation ever unfolding is FAR beyond Cal's character.
