If you’re a “dog person”, then you probably love any movie featuring a dog, right? Well, you're in luck because the newest canine tale “The Call of the Wild” brings together a classic story, a CGI-created dog so amazing you’ll wish he was yours, and a guy that pretty much everyone knows and loves – Harrison Ford.

Based on the book by Jack London, the film tells the “riches to rags” story of Buck the dog. Set during the 1890’s Gold Rush era, Buck is stolen from his life of luxury and thrust into the wilderness where he meets John Thornton (Ford). The story follows this giant dog with a seemingly even bigger personality as he grows in unexpected ways on his life’s journey.

At one point in the frozen Alaskan Yukon, Buck works as a sled dog delivering mail and crosses paths with the local Postmaster, played by actress Stephanie Czajkowski.

You might not recognize Stephanie right away because she has become best known as the bald badass character Hammerhead in the DC Universe streaming series “Doom Patrol” – and we hear she’s returning for Season 2.

But, Stephanie also gained fans for her role alongside Chrissy Metz in the heart-tugging drama “Breakthrough.” She also popped-up recently in Fanny Veliz Grande’s new original streaming anthology series, “I Friggin Love You,” as a woman who tests the depths of love while fighting cancer. And, this is something Stephanie knows about first-hand consider she is a 3-time cancer survivor herself.

I recently caught-up with Stephanie Czajkowski to ask a few questions:

Tell us about your role in “Call of the Wild.”

STEPHANIE: I play the Postmaster of Dawson City in the Yukon, where countless prospectors have come to seek their fortune. I am the conduit to their loved ones. The one who delivers love and news from home.

How was it to work alongside a CGI dog?

STEPHANIE: A CGI dog is a lot easier to act with than a real one, that’s for sure. In this case BUCK was portrayed by the incredibly talented actor Terry Notary. So, it’s like working with any other actor.

What would you consider your characters ‘best’ quality? And their ‘worst’?

STEPHANIE: I think she truly loves her job, and feels great pride in being the person who can bring life changing news. I think there are times when she gets a little TOO obsessed with the organization of the office, and can drive her assistant crazy.

Any interesting stories from the set you can share with us?

STEPHANIE: Dawson City where all my scenes take place, were all shot in Santa Clarita, California, in 80 degree weather. It was during the 2018 World Series, and as people were milling around in wool clothing from the late 1800’s, on breaks they were huddled around cell phones watching to see if the Dodgers would clinch the title.

What’s the biggest lesson you learned from working on this project?

STEPHANIE: Harrison Ford is as cool as I always imagined him being.

You also have a more serious role in the web series “I Friggin Love You”; what can you share about that?

STEPHANIE: We tried to shine light on an aspect of love, that most of us would sooner forget. How couples try to manage through illness. I’m hoping we did, and that those going through that kind of trial know they aren’t alone.

And, now just for fun:

Who’s your favorite actor/actress?

STEPHANIE: Sam Rockwell can do no wrong in my book.

What role from the past do you wish you could have played?

STEPHANIE: Marion in “Raiders of The Lost Arc.”

Favorite movie or TV show from your childhood.

STEPHANIE: “Goonies” -- Forever!

Tell us one thing that would surprise our readers to learn about you.

STEPHANIE: I’m in wookiepedia for playing Senya Tirall in video game “Star Wars: Old Republic-Knights of the Eternal Throne.”

How can fans keep up with you?

STEPHANIE: On my IG page: @SkiSays link
And my website: stephanieczajkowski.com link
I actually have a “newsletter” I send out monthly, which people can sign up for there.

Thanks, Stephanie -- keep delivering and we'll keep watching!

Ok, so here I am, sitting on my laptop, browsing on Amazon, searching for a movie I recently watched. I find it and decide to take a quick look at the reviews and I have to say that I did not like what I saw. When I say that I enjoyed this film, it appears that I am in the minority.

The film in question? Dreamcatcher, a horror/thriller based on the novel by Stephen King.

The main cast includes:
Jonesy (Damian Lewis; ‘Band of Brothers’& ‘Life’)
Beav (Jason Lee; ‘My Name is Earl’ & ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks’)
Pete (Timothy Olyphant; ‘A Perfect Getaway’ & ‘Deadwood’)...
