Those six weeks without Louis were the longest of Eleanor's life.
Each passing day was another tick on the calendar in the countdown to seeing Louis again.
She kept herself busy, university coursework helped as a much needed distraction leaving no room in her brain to miss him too much.
Her friends helped a lot, the girls night outs in Manchester helped to keep the loneliness away.
As said he had phoned and texted her every single day in the six weeks leading up to the end of the tour.
She loved the sound of his voice on the phone but ached to hold him, kiss him.
From what he had told her, he missed her as much as she missed him which was reassuring.
She kept up with it all, watching every interview and buying every and any magazine which had One Direction in it.
He sent her bits and pieces from the various countries he travelled, they were all on display in her flat.
After the tour was over they would finally be able to spend time together, Eleanor looked forward to every minute they could have together.
She planned to pick him up from the airport in London. The four hour drive didn't bother her, she was used to making long trips to see Lou.
She woke up extra early on the day Louis was due home, she hardly slept with the excitement.
She bought a coffee and set off for the airport.
The drive was long but Eleanor didn't feel it.
She arrived little before he was due to land. She kept quiet, trying to keep a low profile. She didn't want people to know Louis was going to be there.
As the passengers left the plane Eleanor scanned the crowd in search of her boyfriend.
On the other side of the room Louis did the same in search of his girlfriend. He saw her first and stayed a while admiring her beauty.
He had known he was in love with Eleanor the moment he saw her and he wished he could be with her all the time. Balancing a career like his and a girlfriend wasn't easy. But neither Louis or Eleanor prepared to go down without a fight.
He ran to her, though his bags heavy on his back he was light as air.
He dropped his bags on the floor and held Eleanor close. She wrapped her arms around his waist and they remained silent for a few moments while they embraced.
They ripped apart from each other to get a better look at one another.
Louis hadn't shaved and his usually smooth face was covered in dark stubble.
She wasted no time giving him a big kiss.
" Missed me eh?" Louis added with a grin.
" Missed you? Please that's how I greet everyone" Eleanor joked giving him a prod in the side.
Louis resumed his favourite position by draping his arm over Eleanor's shoulder.
They talked none stop on the way to the car. Louis told Eleanor all about the tour, how amazing the fans were and all the funny stories on the road.
They laughed themselves into the car when Louis pulled a CD out of his pocket.
" I want you to have this babe" Louis handed Eleanor a copy of Midnight Memories, inside it was signed:
Eleanor, I'll always love you. Louis x
" It doesn't come out for a while and I wanted you to have the first copy" He smiled.
Eleanor had heard all the songs before but she hadn't seen the finished product.
" Its amazing, thank you so much She leaned over and kissed him.
For the car ride home they played midnight memories as loud as it would go and sang along to the songs they both knew off by heart. They both loved the time they had together and knew that they should make the most of it.

The love of Larry Stylinson is something that we like to think can never be shaken, but it must be hard for Louis Tomlinson to have to share his time with Harry Styles with a load of girls. We know he must want him all to himself, so he can stroke his face and smell his hair alone.
It's a tough life for Louis.
"The worst thing about living with Harry is the constant stream of women he is getting through our door," Louis told The Sun.
"It's relentless.
"The good side is he's a decent cook. He cooks for me — fajitas and tacos.
"The fajitas are good, they are very good."
Louis Tomlinson: "Harry Styles is always bringing girls round"
Well this is promising. A surefire way to a bloke's heart is to go through the stomach (as in with food, not with knives...eesh) so at least Louis is still getting some guac(amole) from Harry and can chow down on his fajita every now and again.
