I'd doubt that he would still be the main character in poke'mon. Unfortunetaly they *may* be replacing ash with a different character in the next series.
Though if Ash stayed it'd probably attract less fans to bother even for a new game?
They should have replaced ash with the boy person in the unova region when they had the new chance.
I find it unpredictably to think of ash in the future though. I mean adding up the 'average teenager' and 'Ashes attitude' I'm finding it unbelievably hard to think of an answer this question.
I'm not being offensive to Ash fans, sorry if you thought I was.
