I looked over the cloud to see….Jacob? He was holding my hands and he was saying what seems to be like a prayer. Then words started to pop into my head “Dear Heavenly Father,
I come to you now in my time of need and strength. She was the best thing that ever happen to me…..” I was utterly confused. It sounded like Jacob. “Grandma, what is he doing?” I asked “He’s praying for you Cha Cha.” Why would he do that? I thought he didn’t really like me. What is he even doing in the hospital? Maybe that’s what I’ve been hearing in my head. “Why is he doing that?” I asked. She looked at me and smirked “Because he loves you mama” No he doesn’t. “No he doesn’t” i said shaking my head looking at the ground. “Trust me mama, he does.” Yeah, right and I’m gonna become a supermodel one day. (sarcasm intended) Please. "You know I can hear your thoughts, right? Don’t tink jus because I’m in heaven that means I won’t give you a butt whoppin’ " That’s one think I don’t understand about my grandma. When she curses people out she can speak perfect english. but when she has to go and make a simple phone call I used to have to translate for her. I laughed at the thought. “Ok, grandma.” i said laughing. “Cha Cha there’s one more thing that i want to talk to you about.” Let me brace myself “Ok.” “Why you no want to eat?” i was afraid she was gonna ask that. I just figured maybe if I was honest with her she would understand. “Because….I figured…if I lost weight that….the kids would…leave me alone about….my size.” I said a little scared. “Honey, you are not even big, you just a very curvy.” Why does everyone say that? I am not no curvy. I’m just fat plain and simple! I didn’t answer her. I just shook my head like always. “If you don’t believe me, you will soon.” What is this crazy lady talking about? “Say one more thing in your thought! I dare you!” Oh crap. You see what I mean. “Sorry, grandma.” I said laughing. She laughed with me. “Honey, it’s time for you to go back to de Earth now.” Boo! I don’t want to go back. I’m gonna have to face Jacob. “Honey you gonna have to face him soona or lata” Why does she keep reading my thoughts? “Because I can.” I just looked at her and laughed. “Come look at” she said leading me to look down at the cloud again. I did as I was told. I looked over and saw Jacob again. He was getting into my hospital bed. He was…kissing all over my face. “I love you” I heard his voice whisper in my head. “Grandma, why can I hear everything he’s saying?” I asked. “Because since your in a mild coma, you can still hear tings. And since your here everything that you hear on earth pops into your head here.” Well that makes sense. (more sarcasm intended) I looked back down at Jacob. He was looking at my arm. He ran his fingers over it and kissed it. . I don’t get it I thought that he really liked Briana, not me. “Grandma,why is he doing this?” i asked. "Like I said mama he loves you. " I didn’t answer her I just shook my head no. “Mama I think it’s time for you to go back now.” she said. I sighed and nodded my head. “Ok, bye Grandma” I said giving her a hug. “Bye mama” I realized something. “Wait, How do I get back to earth?” I asked “Close you eyes and count to 3” I did as I was told. I closed my eyes “1…..2…….3!”

I was still laying there with her. I was stroking her cheek. Every now and then I would kiss her. I just want her to come back to me even though she may hate me. “Please… just come back to me. I promise i will never hurt you again.” I whispered in her ear. I then kissed her lips. All of a sudden she started to move. I panicked. She cracked her eyes open “Jacob.” she said softly. “W-what are you doing here?” she asked. “I’m here for you, bonita” I said. She looked a bit confused but she didn’t answer. “Where’s my mom?” she asked still trying to process herself. “She went to get somethings, she’ll be back to pick me up” I said. she nodded her head. I realized that I should probably tell the doctor that she had woken up. I was ecstatic. “The love of my life has awakened!” i yelled in the hallway. The nurses said that i had to be quiet or they would have to ask me to leave. I ignored their comments and went looking for the doctor. I finally found him and he immediately made his way to her room “Hello, sweetie. How are you feeling?” he asked. “Good…I guess?” she said. “You woke up a lot faster then we thought. You are a true fighter.” You guys here that my bonita is a fighter. Now what? She smiled a little at the comment. “Well I guess we should contact your mother and tell her the good news, right?” she nodded her head and he went off.
It was just her and I again. It was an awkward silence. I decided to break it. “Bonita?” I asked. She looked at me then looked down “Please don’t call me that” she said. “why not?” I asked “Because jacob you a know that when you called me bonita it was only a way for you to charm your way in.” she said not looking at me. “That’s not true. You are beautiful. I meant it.” she just shook her head “Why are you even here anyway?” she asked. “Because I love and care for you Mya” she looked at me with frustrated eyes “No you don’t” she said coldly “Yes I do, with all my heart” she looked at me like I was stupid. “Why are you still lying Jacob? It’s over.” Why can’t she get it through her head that I really do love her? what do i have to do? “I do love you, Mya. I don’t know what else to do to prove it to you.” She waited a while before speaking “then why did you kiss Briana and let them beat me up like that?” she said with her voice shaking. She sounded like she was gonna cry. I can’t see her cry anymore. It hurts to much. “Listen Mya, the only reason why I did that was because…..while I was in the hallway Briana came up to me and said if I didn’t do what she said….she would have her friends kill you.” I said. Her eyes expanded a little then they went back to normal. She didn’t answer. “Please, Mya I was only trying to protect you.” she waited a little while before answering “Why didn’t you let them?” I wasn’t sure what she was talking about “Let them what?” I asked confused “Let them kill me.” she said. I was shocked. so I paused “I would rather die then watch you kiss her and have you say those things you said” she continued. Her voice was stern and emotionless. I felt terrible. I knew how much words hurt her but I had no choice “Please don’t say that. I never want to loose you and I never meant anything I said back there” she didn’t answer she just put her head down. “Look at me.” I said. She didn’t. She just kept it down “Charlene please look at me…please” I said while taking her chin and softly making her look at me. I looked into her eyes. I saw so much frustration and hurt. I just wanted to take it all away. “I just want to help you. I’m sorry I hurt you. I never wanted to I promise.” i said trying to find some type emotion in her face. She softly removed my hand from her face. She had tears streaming down her face. She looked at her arm and gasp a little. She ran her fingers over it. She let out a sigh. “Please…just talk to me and I’ll leave you alone…for now.” she looked at me and said nothing. I got a good look at her. She looked very weak and more dehydrated then before. Then I remembered something. The doctor said it looked like she hadn’t eaten in weeks. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. I had never seen her eat for the two weeks that I’ve known her “Mya. were you….starving yourself?” her head shot up. “No..” she immediately answered. I knew she was lying to me and I wasn’t having it. “Don’t lie to me” I said getting a little frustrated. She still didn’t answer me. “Mya! Answer me!” I yelled. I made her jump. I didn’t mean to scare her but I was frustrated. Why won’t she trust me? “Please don’t yell at me.” she said softly. “Then answer me!” I saw anger in her eyes " Do you not hear them call me fat Jacob?! All I want is for them to leave me alone!" I felt guilty. “Mya..” I said walking towards her “Don’t” she said coldly. Now I was more mad. “Why are you always pushing me away?! I’m trying to help you because i love you!” i saw just as much anger in her eyes. “Bull*h*t Jacob! You wanna know why i push you away, huh?! Think about the last time I let you in and look what happened! I’m not used to someone acting so caring towards me, besides my family! Everyone in the school has shown me hate and all of a sudden here you come and you tell me you love me and care for me?! How do you expect me to beli-” “Well believe it because I love you dumba*$!” she looked at me like I was crazy “Excu-” I cut her off by kissing her. Surprisingly she kissed back. This kiss was a lot different from the other two. It had more want, more need. I slowly ran my hands down her back as she sucked on my bottom lip. She had her hands on my face rubbing my cheeks with her thumb. I tugged at her bottom lip, asking for a entrance into her mouth. She immediately opened her mouth and I glided my tongue inside. She took her hands from my face and place them behind my neck and rubbed it. I love it when she does that. After about 3 minuets she pulled away. I looked deep into her eyes. “Shut up, you talk to much” i whispered. She smiled her breath taking smile. “Come” she said signaling me to come on the bed with her. I did as I was told. I got in the bed and wrapped my arms around her and caressed her while she played with my hair. “I love you dumb*$” I said smiling. “I love you too, ret*rd” she said smiling back.
