“Renesmee Carlie Cullen!” I heard my Aunt Alice scream from down stairs. “If you are not down here in three minutes I am coming up there to get you!” I took Alice’s warning more seriously than a normal person would have. I klutzily jumped from my bed, somehow managing not to fall on my face, and then I ran to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror, and groaned. My hair was flailing in every direction possible and my lips looked puffy. My brown usually bright spunky eyes were now a tired looking brown. I tried to figure out the mess in my hair, and then I heard a gasp coming from the door. I spun around and saw Alice standing there, a scared expression across her face. “Alice, I am so –“
Don’t worry about it, Nessie,” she interrupted my apologies, sighing “You can’t help the way you sleep.” I laughed; relieved she wasn’t mad at me for the way my hair looked.
Alice strides across the room and comes to me. Despite her size, Alice easily picked me up and carried me all the way to her room. She finally set me down on her immaculate countertop.
“Do you want to bathe or should I just brush out your hair?” she questioned me.
“Brush it out.” I answered her calmly.
“‘Kay!” Alice said, “I’ll go get Rose!” And then Alice was gone, disappearing silently down the stairs. I sat there obediently, thinking about today. Today Emily and Sam from Jacob’s pack where getting married and I was one of the bridesmaids, mostly under Jacob’s command, but I was excited enough. Momma had told me a lot what her and daddy’s wedding was like and this is the first one I have ever been to and I was very excited because Alice was setting up the whole thing and I was happy to find out what that would look like.
Just then, Rosy and Alice walked through the room. Rosalie looked beautiful, wearing a sparkling golden dress that fell down to her knees and fit her very snugly. Rose’s golden hair was pulled up into a messy yet oddly beautiful bun on the back of her head. Alice was wearing a light purple dress that flowed just past her knees, and fit really loosely and was spited all the way just below her thigh. Alice’s usually spiky array of hair was now smoothed down so that it looked very old fashioned and neat. When Rosy saw me she gasped and then gracefully walked to my side. Rose started on my hair, brushing it out with a careful grip, while Alice got a cold washcloth and rubbed down my face and arms with it. They worked on me until noon and I fell in and out of sleep several times.
Around one o’clock, I woke up from my sleeping and looked in the mirror. I had been sitting in Alice’s spinning chair and so I was shocked to find I was in it. Last I checked I had been sitting on the counter top. I looked in the mirror and was shocked by what I looked like. My eyes lids were shaded a shiny light red and I had eyeliner lining the top part of my eyes. My lips, instead of the pale shell pink they normally were, were now a neat looking rose color. My bronze colored curly hair was pinned back into a beautiful braid down my back. I looked a little to plain standing next to Alice and Rosalie. “Is that all your doing to my hair?” I asked them trying to hide my burning curiosity. Rosalie’s eyes narrowed to slits and she said, “No I just wanted you to wake up first.” I shrugged abruptly ending our conversation. “Well?” Alice asked me impatiently. “Do you at least like the makeup?” Alice was hopeful, but I wasn’t about to lie to her.
“Well, it is beautiful!” I told her honestly “But it’s kind of plain.”
“Renesmee Carlie Cullen,” she said with a hint of annoyance in her voice “You are only four years old. I don’t want you to look to grown up.”
“Ok, ok Alice. It really does look pretty though.” She shrugged, as if it was nothing.
Now that I was fully awake, they did the final touches to me. Alice added a touch of mascara to my eyes, and Rosalie made me stand so that she could pin my braid into bun on the back of my head. This involved a ton of pinching and hurting, but in the end, I look gorgeous and no plain standing next to them.
A few minutes later, we were standing in front of my closet full of clothes and shoes. Alice stepped forward, pressing me behind her, so that she could have a better look. “Hmm...” she mused. “Rose, come help me decide.” As if Rosy was under a spell, she left my side, to stand next to Alice to help her choose. I was left sitting on my bed. They spent a whole twenty minutes trying to decide. I was very careful, so as not to ruin Alice or Rose’s hard work they had spent on me. Then they were ready. Alice and Rosalie spun around at the same time, each of them holding something in their smooth, careful hands. In Alice’s hands she held a very beautiful dress. It had a nice cottony type of fabric and it was a very plain red. The dress was strapless and looked like it would go down to my knees. “Strapless Alice, really?” I questioned her with just a hint of fear in my voice. I wasn’t really ready for strapless yet. “I thought you just said that you don’t want me looking to grown up?” Didn’t that apply to clothing to? Alice pursed her lips and then said, “Your right Renesmee!” and the turned back to the closest and put that away. Minutes later, she spun around again and was holding something completely different. The dress was beautiful, a dark green cloth and then black on the outside, lace. It looked knee length and looked as if it would fit snugly on me to my waist, then it got frilly and flowed so I was free to spin in it. The sleeves looked as if they would go to my elbows, and they were a forest green color. I looked up at Alice. Her amber colored eyes burned with curiosity. “Do you like it?” she asked me excitedly. I couldn’t reply all I did was shake my head no. Alice’s face fell glum and as she was turning I yelled,”I love it!!” and ran to grasp her waist and hug her. She hugged me back and then looked at Rose. Rosalie cleared her throat and then held up the shoes in her hand. My jaw fell open. The shoes were a bright pink color and had about six inch heels. The shoes had a lace running up all the way to my knee. Alice didn’t have to ask me to know I would deny the shoes. It was a death trap waiting to happen. Instead Alice spun around, and grabbed a pair and put it in Rosalie’s waiting hands. I looked at these shoes more carefully. They were a solid black, and they looked like sneakers, just without the laces or the holes to put the laces in. They had no heel once so ever but the back part elevated a little bit just to make me look taller. I nodded my head once showing that I liked the shoes and then hugged Rose.

I walked down the stairs gracefully, Rosalie and Alice walking just behind me. I was wearing the green dress and the black shoes and I kept fidgeting with my dress, because I was nervous. It wasn’t time for the wedding to start, only a few more minutes. When daddy saw me, he gasped and Emmett laughed. At first I couldn’t find out what was so funny and then daddy answered my question. “That was the exact dress and shoes your mother wore on her eighteenth birthday.” I think I saw him shiver the slightest bit. Then momma came in and gasped -probably at my outfit- and then I noticed what she looked like. She wasn’t wearing a dress like everyone else. She had on a beautiful lime skirt with swirly patterns and she was wearing a plain white T-Shirt. Her normal brown hair was pulled up on the side of her shoulder into a braid and her makeup was the same as mine. “You look prettier than I do.” She said earnestly.
“I can’t agree with that.” Daddy said taking her hand. I looked away not wanting to be rude and then I heard my name being called. “Go Nessie!” daddy said, although I was already being pushed back up the stairs again. “Jacob isn’t allowed to see you!” I heard him say faintly, but I couldn’t be sure because I was already upstairs. Then I heard Jacobs’s loud voice, demanding to see me. I couldn’t hear to good, but I could hear the sound of a door being slammed.
I had no time to worry about Jake, even though he was my only thought through the whole demonstration of how to walk down the aisle. “Renesmee, are you paying attention?” Rosalie snapped at me for the fourth time. I nodded a faint yes, and she went on with the demonstration. My thoughts on Jake continued, and then we heard the scream.
