I wanted to like the season one finale. I really did. And I know a huge part of finales like this is to leave us with a big cliffhanger so we're all on the edge of our seats going "OHMYGAWD, what's going to happen next?!" and start crossing the days off the calendar to count down the days to Season 2, Episode 1.
They accomplished that. Definitely.
But why this way? It kills me that Henry turned out to be Jeremy. On one hand, cool! Ichabod's son is still alive! Except there's a big problem: Jeremy is the Second Horseman. So basically none of it really matters. Jeremy...

Sleepy Hollow wrapped up its freshman season Monday night with a finale packed full of major twists and a whopper of a cliffhanger that left pretty much every major character in a terrible, life-threatening position.
With Ichabod (Tom Mison) buried six feet under (while still alive), Abbie (Nicole Beharie) trapped in Purgatory, and Katrina (Katia Winter) kidnapped by the headless horseman, executive producer Mark Goffman had a lot to answer for when we called him up after viewing the heart-stopping...
So I'm sure I'm not the only one that was left frustrated and mind-blown at the end of the most recent episode.
A couple of things keep swirling through my mind, though.
1) The women of the coven. The Four who speak as One or whatever. They said Katrina broke their law, but I don't understand how. Ichabod is the First Witness. Isn't he supposed to be around to fight all the demons and stuff? The way it always seemed was that this was how it was meant to work out. But the four women were saying otherwise, basically saying that Katrina should have let Ichabod...
Just a few random things I've noticed in the show as well as some opinions on certain things.. :)
1) Am I the only one that noticed that the Captain shares the last name of the man who wrote the original short story of Sleepy Hollow? Captain Irving and the original author was Washington Irving. Eh, eh?? I wonder if this is any kind of foreshadowing for the Captain's role in the show later on. I have gotten the feeling that he might know more than he has led us to believe and I want to know which side he's really on. Then again, this may just be a mere...
What’s the secret to Sleepy Hollow‘s success? It’s easy to point to any number of factors — breakneck pacing, sharp writing, a supernatural premise that takes itself just seriously enough. Ask a Sleepyhead to answer that question, though, and chances are they’ll respond with just two words: Tom Mison, a.k.a. the English stage actor who stars as moody, arch, utterly captivating man out of time Ichabod Crane.
1- Tom Mison. I need not say more.
2- I like the chemistry between Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie. It’s fun watching Ichabod and Abbie work together.
3- Watching Ichabod learn all about the 21st century is very entertaining.
4- It’s fun to see the many layers of the show being peeled away with each episode.
5- There’s a great mystery surrounding Katrina.
6- You really don’t know who you can trust in Sleepy Hollow.
I was so excited about the new series and watched everyone of them and now the Fall finale??!! Can anyone help me understand why the series seem to end so soon? When will it start back up again?? I am totally obsessed with Sleepy Hollow. It is so well written and the acting is superb--way better than most of the stuff on tv. I rate it way up there with the series Forever! Both are absolutely phenomenal!
