Sun, Sand, and a Seaside Picnic
In the next day, the Beatles and Laura went to their first and main spot for the trip: Blackpool Beach. Laura exclaimed as they went down and stepped on the sand, "Yes! I'll finally get to swim at a beach for real!" George replied, "Indeed, darling! I can also see a picnic table nearby. It's perfect for our packed lunch!" The others saw it as well and nodded in agreement. Ringo said, "So, what are we waiting for? Let's hit the water!" With that, they changed into their swimming gear in the locker rooms, set up their foldable deck chairs, lathered themselves with sunscreen, and commenced the beach party. George played his ukulele again while whistling happily as Laura and her uncles swam and played catch with the beach ball. He then joined them along, and they started splashing each other with glee. Even Sparkie had a great time swimming! Afterwards, the group proceeded to the lone picnic table and ate their lunch, which consisted of crumpets with beans and honey, potato crisps, frosted shortbread biscuits, and frozen lemonade. Thankfully, there were no seagulls in sight. When they finished, everyone continued on with the party and took plenty of photos all throughout. They walked back to the hotel at almost four in the afternoon. Paul remarked, "This was the best time we've had at the beach so far!" George replied while Laura rode on his shoulders, "Oh, I'd have to agree with that, mate. It was beyond splendid!" Laura added, "You said it, daddy George!" In response, he flashed his charming crooked smile and gave her hand a sweet peck. The group soon returned to their rooms and took a shower. They then went outside again a few hours later to do some souvenir shopping.
