So I get a computer to check on this spot during my road trip and the character art video dared to come out while I was gone. Hmmph! Well, I always said it would.

So I got out my pen and sacrificed 2 pages in the middle of my notebook and wrote down what I saw in each picture, and my selective memory selected to remember the important things (for exaple; my name *cough*beat that Percy and Jason*cough*). Of course not, I mean what striked me about the characters. And as I did my research- it all unveiled into a picture perfect puzzle- which equals about 30 Kodak moments.

Guy on the left

-His hair is close-cropped, like Jason's, so it might be a requirement at Camp Caesar Salad, which really reinforces the military feel that the camp gives off to us.

*By the way I do know its Camp Jupiter but I've called it that since we started brainstorming about a Roman camp pre-book-release, so I'll call it that until I get to that Roman camp*

-He doesn't have a quiver. If he were an archer; wouldn't be have the bow, the arrow, and the quiver? Maybe the arrow is like a 1-of-a-kind-magic-arrow. It’s gold anyways.
So of course, here I go Googling ‘golden arrows in mythology’, racked that little brain I’ve got between the ears and I got…
a)    I’m going to get the boring and simple theory off my chest and say; the weapon is just made out of Imperial Gold.
b)    Cupid. Okay- Cupid. The baby wearing a diaper that comes at you with an arrow on Valentine’s Day and makes you fall in love. That’s cupid, and he is a Roman god- Valentine’s Day was a big festival in Rome actually, and that’s where it came from. Go figure, eh? They’re romantics too!
In some stories Cupid’s a primordial god –like Gaia and Ouranos and whatnot- and especially so when he’s in his Greek form Eros, but in other myths he’s one of the kids that Mars and Venus had together. Does this mean that it makes sense that Frank is carrying something that could be his brother’s? Not exactly.
Cupid’s arrows made people fall in love. Fluffy love. If it weren’t for the fact that he was sometimes shown with a war helmet, Mars would be doing all he could to deny the kid being his son. Talk about a Mama’s boy!

Actually, a myth that RR hasn’t used yet has to do with him. Queen Psyche was loved by her subjects so much, that they pulled a Percy and forgot some important stuff- like worshipping Venus as a pretty solid one. She didn’t take that well, and ordered Cupid to shoot Psyche, and make her fall in love with the most disgusting and vial thing she could find.

But Cupid –loser- scrapped himself with his own arrow when he shot her. He fell madly in love with Psyche, but only visited her at night when he couldn’t see her. He told her never to try to- and you all see where this is going.
Psyche’s older and jealous sisters told her that Cupid was probably a monster, and that she should check. Pressured by them, Psyche did and Cupid got angered and left.
Psyche pulled an Annabeth then, and looked and looked and looked for her love. Except she looked her whole life- when Annabeth only looked 3 days, 6 hours and about 12 minutes+ the quest. Finally, Jupiter decided to make Psyche immortal so she and Cupid could be together. Who knew he was a romantic? Sheesh, the whole world is now. Anyways, Psyche became a goddess. Her name means ‘soul’ and it’s where the word ‘psychopath’ comes from. ‘Psyche Patho’ means ‘soul sick’ in Ancient Greek.
They had two daughters and lived happily ever after (yeah- some Greek myths do end well!)

c)    Odysseus’ bow. Well- it wasn’t Odysseus, it was Heracles’. But Heracles gave it to Odysseus and he probably ended up giving it to his son. We’ve already seen one Trojan War weapon resurface from a tool shed, maybe Frank ends up with Odysseus’ bow. And that bow has some serious history.
When Odysseus came back from the Odyssey and saw the suitors all gathered up- Athena snuck him into the palace to their meal, disguised as an old crippled beggar. Penelope –his wife- was told by Telemachus –his son- that she should marry the guy who can use Odysseus’ bow and shoot through axes. They tried and tried but it didn’t work until the little old man tried his luck.

Athena –the goddess of smarts and timing- changed him back to Odysseus right then. He made the shot, and he and Telemachus killed all the suitors. And they all lived happily ever after! (except the suitors)
d)    Abaris’ arrow.
This is a very confusing myth; but here’s the version I’ve read.
So; there’s a land called Hyperborea. It’s a land of eternal springtime (which means it’s my birthday over and over- tee-hee!) located beyond the land of winter (to those of you thinking ‘hey that’s the cover!’ or ‘yeah, that is the cover’, hold that thought). Most of the country was wild, called ‘the garden of Apollo’, but there were the land produced crops twice a year. How nice! And the people- woo, the people had it easy as pie! No work, war, toil, old age, sickness. I know, sign me up! (well not me personally but I might just be weird that way)
The south of the realm was guarded by cold, harsh mountains. Guess who called that home? Our bon ami Boreas. The one with the hockey-ox, Piper-flirting and back-stabbing spawn. That bunch. And not them alone, griffins lived there too as well as another tribe that I’m not going into.
So here’s the thing; Hyperborea was ruled by 3 priests of Apollo. One of them was Abaris.
Abaris was given a magical gold arrow by Apollo on which he flew around the world creating miracles. I’m not quite sure how you fly on an arrow. It seems like an uncomfortable thing to sit on- but it solves the problem of traveling by ground and creates the new one of a child of Poseidon being airborne.
If Frank is holding Abaris’ arrow- I am totally in for the idea that he’s a son of Apollo, because I don’t suppose Mars hands those out (but Boreas might if he’s trying to compensate for evil spawn- I mean Khione).
And if it is Abaris’ arrow- the cover could end up being Hyperborea! Meaning it would probably be in Canada, seeing as Thalia said that the Hyperboreans were in Alberta, and those dudes live in Hyperborea.

But apparently the simple fact that he’s holding a golden arrow, no matter which one it is, means that he cannot be a child of Mars at all.
If you’re one of the people who thinks that, look; whether we're talking about the Greeks, Robin Hood, the Blackfoot tribe in Alberta or whatnot- we've got bow and arrows in warfare. Actually, one roman strategy was to send in the archers first to scatter the enemy troops, alarm the horses, nail the elephants and prepare it all for the legion to march out on. And let us remember- the romans were some of history's most kickass soldiers.
Also, mercenaries were often used. They had no real training so bow and arrows were often their pick of weapons- seeing as they would've been pretty cheap too. Personally, I don't see his gold bow being less than 1 0000 bucks, but hey. The Romans also had just archers in their legions.
Roman archer
Roman archer

So remember my friends; just because Clarisse has issues with bows and children of Apollo doesn’t mean that they’re all the same. Because if they were… We better get started on building a bomb bunker for each home.
-He’s a well-built, strong guy guy. Ma-a-rs… Or maybe he just has a strong upper body which an archer needs.
-He's wearing a blue hoody
-His eyes seem more slanted than the others- maybe he has Asian heritage on his mom’s side, or maybe the artist just drew him like that. My mom says he might be Mongolian, but I don’t know. And after all; RR introduced us to Latino and Native Americans main characters in this series so far. Maybe he’s trying to get characters with a myriad of pasts and heritages and nationalities in this one.
-He has relatively soft features.
So this seems to mean that Frank is totally not Mars’ son.
Annabeth is curly blonde, Athena is black haired. I have friends who don't look a thing like their parents. Maybe this guy -Frank- IS a son of Mars, but he takes after his mom. His lack of scar also seems to be a problem, but I don't recall us seeing much on Clarisse. Besides; maybe for some reason he got claimed late like Piper and Leo so didn’t get in a lot of fights. Maybe he was Lupa’s last trainee before Percy so Jason never met the guy (although people seem to get to Camp Caesar Salad early)
And remember what Juno once said. One of her titles; Juno who warns or something like that. Mars had those too. He was Mars Ultor, Mars the Avenger and a Styxload of others. And one of Mars’ things… Well, the Romans were farmers in origin. So yes; Mars does have a little farming power. (see Clarisse’s face when someone tells her that- ha!) So maybe Mrs Frank’s Mom fell in love with Mars when he was in a more gentle perception of himself.
-When I saw what he was standing in front of, I thought it looked like very old stone. Like the inside of a pyramid or monument of some kind (oh boy!). And it has what looks like lion shaped doorknockers on it.
So I came up with two things, and Google didn’t really help (Google and I are having personality clashes- it seems to hate me now).
a)    Leo the Lion. Leo is a horoscope sign in the sky, a constellation, and he’s usually tied with the Nemean Lion- which Percy, Thalia, Grover, Zoë and Bianca defeated in the Titan’s Curse with the help of space food.
b)    Gladiator fighting and Tournaments- and that I know because was the one going around and making the ‘lion!’ jokes after the book came out. That’s right; it was this idiot right here annoying the crud out of you with that.
He’s got one arrow, so let’s let our spirits run around and knock themselves out thinking of what could have happened.
Say they’re stuck and Percy and Hazel are about to be eaten by [insert some monster]. Frank butts in and says ‘wait! I’ll defeat your pet [name of pet] in the arena! With one arrow! If I get it- you’ve got to let us go!’ Hazel and Percy are like, ‘no don’t do it Frank, just run!’ but Frank the Tank running? Please; things run from Frank the Tank.
So he goes out there, kills the pet, frees Percy and Hazel and they’re out of there! BAM!
Now what you’ve got to know about gladiator arenas was that they had tunnels and ramps inside. To open up and let the two opponents run out from opposite sides and hack at each other, to move the lions around with nobody but the sucker inside the rink exposed to them, and on and on. Maybe that’s where Frank is in his character art; standing in a gladiator rink waiting to have the doors opened and to go sprint outside and kill stuff.
Okay, maybe not, maybe he’s just at a building in Camp Caesar Salad (maybe my lion jokes were onto something- there is a rite of passage where you have to kill lions! Or maybe I should go back into my phase of ‘I’m not telling any lion jokes any more’.) Maybe the artist just drew it because it looks cool.
-There’s the shadow of a wolf behind him.
    My mom saw it and said ‘he’s a werewolf’. Okay; I don’t think this guy is a werewolf; but did we not just read about the werewolf king in the Lost Hero? And did we not come to figure out that wolves are an important part of Camp Caesar Salad? We did. But why this guy? Why does he get the wolf shadow? Well; here’s the last shadow I can remember in HoO;
A shadow crossed Jason’s face. Probably just a cloud, but Leo could swear the shape looked like an eagle.- p.484, The Lost Hero
Now here’s the tricky thing- did the eagle mean Jason was a son of Jupiter- or a son of Rome? Because eagles had meaning in Rome too. For example they carried ‘chicken-on-a-sticks’ (which are called Aquila) into battle, and that’s just one thing. So does the wolf mean that Frank (I’ve got my money on that guy being Frank) is a Roman demigod, a camper, or the child of a wolf god?
Wolf gods or gods who tend to like wolves:
Lupa. Doubt she’d have any children that are human thought. I’m not even sure she had pups after her first litter. One of the factoids I keep in my head just in case I get myself on Jeopardy (but I have no idea how I’d do that); the whole litter died, so that’s when Tiberinus a river god went ‘Yo Lupa, you busy? You aren’t? G-reat! How about taking in these two random children? You will? Ok bye’.
Mars’ sons Remus (no he didn’t have a
friend called James) and Romulus were raised by the she-wolf Lupa, so the wolf is his sacred animal.
Who is Frank? The archer part of him is pointing towards Mr Haiku up above, but most of what I think, the theories that have been made along with the helpful ‘Olympian Week’ parentage announcements point towards Mars. But I’m saying it right now; don’t put any money to it.

Guy on the Right

-His eyes are deep in. Does he not get enough sleep? I imagine he wouldn't if he had to get up and train all day while his instincts made him want to snooze. Or if he has to stay up or get killed by Somnus... Maybe he's sick.
-He's carrying a teddy bear. Now there's some RDM for you. Roman Display of Machoness. Why does he have that? Does it have an emotional meaning? Magical powers? (if you don't hug it for too long it spits enflamed stuffing at you) Maybe he’s safe-keeping it for someone. Maybe it’s his dead little sister’s and he saved it from his mom throwing it away and always keeps it close and doesn’t care what you think about it- because stuffing is buff!
-He's wearing a toga with a gold, wave-like pattern at the top.
-Again with the blue! There's a blue t-shirt under the toga.
-He needs a hug real bad
-This goes with the above, but there’s something bothering this kid. Maybe it’s a permanent thing or he’s just a Nico di Angelo. Trauma mixed with spending a lot of time in the Underworld isn’t working for him (well, maybe just the trauma part- and Nico is getting better).
-He looks like freaking Luke Castellan! Doesn't he? I mean, look at him!
But I don't think he's a son of Mercury (Hermes with an edge- although Hermes/Mercury’s kids do tend to be a little immature and childish- hence teddy over there) but da-yum he does!
-Background- he looks like he's in a temple or sanctuary of some kind and there's this green and pink bunny at his left. Is it his? Is he guarding a stack of them for some reason? Anybody know anything about roman dolls meaning something? Well; I googled but so far, I’ve got nothing except pictures and the fact that they do exist.
-Blond. Other characters who had blond hair in descriptions; Annabeth (hey, she had a teddy bear too! Sorry, I had to make a joke with that.), Morpheus, Jason, Morpheus, Luke and Morpheus.
-His hair is shaggy. So here's the thing; Jason and the guy -who I am calling Frank- have close-cropped hair. Why does this guy not? Why is he wearing a toga? Is he somehow different than the others?

I have an answer for that; dream interpreters.

Romans had them! They believed that their everyday dreams that meaning and they had dream interpretators there to help them make sense of it. So here's why this might work.

Percy had wacked up dreams. All the time.
Right now, the world might get destroyed by Gaia and he's at a camp he doesn't know and won’t trust with his only memory being a name and Annabeth but he’s not even sure about that one (or is he?). How's that for a living nightmare? So what about the not-so living ones?

Some helpful tour guide might bring him to a dream interpretator to help him figure out his life. But maybe John Smith here unearths a lot, or gives him the clue to sort it out. Maybe he visits Percy by dream too, because the reason he’s a dream interpretator in the first place is because his father is the god of dreams, Morpheus, another long-haired blond.

Maybe, maybe not; I'm just saying. And it would fit with his background. His own little pad like Rachel, decorated with his preference; stuffed toys. I figure that Rachel's cave looks like a twisted puppet theatre, but inside it’s probably a rainbow in walls, complete with glitter glue, paint and mucho paper.

And no, I don't think this is Somnus himself, because he is wearing blue, and I WILL explain about the colours- just bear with me.

But I have another idea for his parentage. Someone once said he was pretty childish- so I say that maybe his mother is Juventas. She’s the roman counterpart of Hebe- the goddess of youth.
Problem with this; Juno’s quote.
“It is not my nature to be faithless. I have only two godly children- Ares and Hephaestus- both of whom are disappointments.” –p 545, The Lost Hero
Actually lady; you have two daughters too. One of them is Ares’ twin sister called Eris and you really can’t forget about her because she’s the one who pretty much started the Trojan War. The other one is Hebe, and she’s Heracles’ wife in heaven and she used to be your cupbearer- so really she’s a bit important as well.
No, did anybody else notice that? That huge slip in mythology right there?
So anyways; if Juno doesn’t know about them, I’m taking it that Hebe and Eris don’t exist in the Camp’s world, or at least not at that point.
And can a goddess of happy, careless childhood give birth to someone who looks as depressed as that? Well, maybe- but I think that Juventas isn’t that worth looking into.
Besides, I really like the Somnus or Morpheus idea. No idea about the dream interpreter bit- but I think that a lot of half-bloods wouldn’t mind help figuring out the omens and dreams and whatnot. Percy being the first one in line.

Girl on the Left

-There's this circular stone plate hanging behind her, with writing in Latin. No idea what it says, or what it means, but I saw 'max' which might have been 'Maximus' (a name) or ‘Maximum’ (a motto; ‘Maximum Power’). Or, it could be one of the tables (12 tables; each had a rule of Rome and they were very important).
-She's sitting on a throne; she’s most likely important, powerful or an imposter (paranoia is settling in- this should be fun)
Or it could also be the throne of Roma. Keep reading to figure that one out unless you already know :D
Maybe it’s the throne of fire and Egypt is in this as well *eye twitch*
-She wearing a purple toga, over golden armour. How's that for fancy?
-If you ask me she's very noble looking (queen- Reyna's name origin, I know, I know). In Rome you get around by acting confident- so either it’s an act and she’s just a demigod, or she’s actually an immortal or goddess or pharaoh’s wife *smacks oneself*
-She has two dogs. A gold and a silver, silver on the right. A lot of people have said this already, but its the dogs of King Alcinous.
So who is this guy? (Except for the son of someone who should’ve just stuck to what they found in the baby name books)
This guy was a Phaeacian king. The Phaeacians lived on an island called Corcyra, althought it was also called Drepana and Scheria, and it has some major-mojo with the Argonauta, Oddyseus and Heracles.
Start with the name; its named after Phaeaxs who is both son of Poseidon and father of Alcinous. In other versions, Phaex's old man isn't so old. He's a mortal called Nausithous and he brought the people to the island because of Cyclops problems. Nausithous would have been a son of Poseidon too, and his mom would've been a decendant of a dude who was once said to be a giant king. Nausithous had two sons too to make that family picture that much better, but Rexhenor was killed by Apollo. Not that great of a family picture.
Believe what you like; but the heritage of Alcinous himself is as rich as Midas.
    And now for the island…
First off, Heracles -after killing his wife Megara (that's right- Disney lied to you. In a moment of madness sponsored by Hera (hi Hear!) the son of Zeus killed Meg and the kids- which Disney never told us about either) he went to the island to cleanse himself. He also fell in love with this naiad called Melite and had a kid, Hyllus (because what Greek myth is complete without a fling and kid?).
Second, while he was on the throne, Alcinous received the Argonauts after they'd stolen the Golden Fleece. He also protected Medea. Except the Colchians were after them, because you just can’t get away with killing her own brother. Alcinous said that if Medea was a maid, he would send her back to her Colchian father. If not, he would keep her with Jason. In the end, a queen married them because she saw it coming. Smart lady, hmm? Hopefully nobody gets married in this one…
Years later, Odysseus landed there after he'd survived a shipwreck. Who discovered him there? Not Alcinous (gotcha), it was his daughter Naucisaa.
-The place had two harbours because the Phaecians were 5 star navigators, like someone else we know. Isn't that right Percy? *is being subtle about this*
-The castle was splendidly built, with bronze walls topped with enamel tiles, gold doors...
-Outside the courtyard there grew figs, pomegranates, pears, apples and olives that were at their best at all seasons.
-The Phaeacians liked their food and wine, which was great because with an orchard and a vineyard like that, you're great for it. They ate in a large hall where young people (most likely pretty girls or strong handsome dudes with six-packs, I'm just saying) lit it up with torches (so overall a nice place)
-They had the best guard dogs. One silver, one bronze. These things were automatons from Hephaestus, and as far as I can research about them, they’ve never gone haywire on anybody! So does this means that there’s a first for everything and the lady will end up with motor-rabies? Hmm- maybe.
link
Why am I describing this place with so many details? Because this is one thing in the Odyssey that Percy doesn't have on his record (or in his series) yet, and we already have little pointers towards it.

So is the mysterious lady someone from the island?
1)    Nausicaa
2)    Megara back for revenge towards Heracles (who was made a god while she and her children are dead) and probably doesn't love Hera any more than Annabeth? Hey, if psychotic villainesses are a theme here…
3)    Speaking of which; is it Medea again? All of them have history or a connection will the island.
4)    Other idea; Is it Khione? She's a bit too peachy, not enough pale but hey... She could be. Because the Romans don't automatically know that Khione, or their version of a snow goddess, is bad. Cryptic and gee-thanks god clues like 'beware the cold hearted one' or 'someone close will betray you' could lead Percy to turn against one of the romans –say, Frank- because he and Percy are on lousy terms by pure personality-clash, I-don't-get-Romans factor and that tiny bit of his memory still screeching 'run! Run it's Clarisse but more heavily armed!'
And seeing as Percy is going head-on into a snowy place... Maybe they're trying to find her, then realise that she has the chicken-on-a-stick, then steal it and run for it and BAM we've got the cover. Or not.
My only problem with it being Khione is that Khione has no Roman counterpart listed in the end of ‘The Lost Hero’. You know that little glossary in the end, ‘Gods in the Lost Hero’ that you read just because you were hoping that the book wasn’t ending there? Yeah; there- the Greek Gods are listed, a little info, and their roman counterparts. But Khione doesn’t have one.
5)    I've heard people say Reyna. Personally; I think that if this girl, woman, whatnot is mortal, she would have to be a consul because…
a)    She is wearing purple

In Rome, purple was the color of the consuls, which explains why Jason was wearing it but we're seeing the rest of the crew in blue.
Does this mean that this is Reyna? No, because it seems kind-of deja-vue of RR to throw us a couple as leaders, but hey, could be. Maybe it would help Reyna and Annabeth click together because they'd have common ground.
And even then, when Boreas transformed into Aquilo he had a purple trim on his toga and he was definitely not Reyna. Sure, she has a whole purple dress, but still.
b)    She is important enough to have two guard dogs, that aren't just any other guard dogs. Especially if Jason was gone, maybe presumed dead by now, the consul that’s there would be valuable beyond belief.
Oh; another thing, there were people elected to take a consul’s place if they died during their term or got horribly sick or whatnot. Do I sense a possible power struggle when Jason gets back? Why yes I do ladies and gentlemen.
6)    And here’s another theory. This lady here is Roma.
So Roma is the personification of Rome itself. She was a pretty important goddess- I mean, the Romans loved Rome- and she was only Roman, although she popped up while the Greeks were still stomping around Greece (Rome didn’t destroy Greece the day it emerged after all; they took some time to get their things in order before going all ‘conquer or die!’ They actually started off as farmers…)
So here’s my logic; Lupa is training with demigods. She stayed with Percy for, like, 2 or 3 months, right? Okay; so if she does that with every demigod she finds suitable for her camp, if she disappears for months at a time to the Wolf House (not exactly a block away from ‘Frisco), who do demigods go to when they need help? Jason and the other consul (let’s call him John Smith even if it might be a girl); but the consuls weren’t the supreme power in Rome. That was the emperor. So maybe the woman on the throne is Jason and John Smith’s superior; the emperor. The Mr D of Camp Caesar Salad, seeing as Chiron and Lupa are counterparts.
Or maybe Mr D is director in both camps seeing as the gods have that I-can-be-in-a-million-other-places-than-here thing going on. That would be interesting… Sorry, got side tracked.
Rome is still as much alive as Greece. You’ve still got the monuments and the eagle, the philosophy of it and whatnot. Rome itself is still around, and so is Roma then. But the biggest ode to Rome, the concentration of Western Civilization of Rome, would be Camp Caesar Salad. So it would be normal that she would hang out there, just as natural as it is that Poseidon is under the sea, and that Lupa is still rounding up half-bloods.
And I heard this other story once, that a Roman throne room had 2 thrones. One was for the emperor and one was for a statue of Roma. And let’s look at where mysterious dog lady is sitting, shall we?
The question with this is; why does she need guard dogs then? Maybe she doesn’t use them as guard dogs, if it is Roma. I mean, she’s a goddess. If she has security issues, she can probably handle herself, especially if she has the ego of some of the Roman emperors and their skill in battle. Maybe she just splurges and acts like the empresses of Rome did. I don’t know; but I think it very well could be Roma.
But then again; it could be a million other people. So who knows, right?

Girl on the Right

-She’s on a horse that doesn’t seem to be a Pegasi
BAM that’s why I think this is Hazel.
Hazel’s going on the quest with Percy and Frank the Tank; it says so in the synopsis. And we know an elephant is going to be involved in this, a bulletproof one none-the-less- and his name is Hannibal.
Last time I checked; elephants travel by ground (not the best idea since Gaia’s in this, but anyways), and so would this horse. Maybe Hazel isn’t going on the elephant for some reason, and she’s got her own horse for this quest. Maybe Percy will too; and she’ll become Blackjack’s girlfriend (common, you know you want Blackjack to find true love. Or maybe not, but still).
Another thing; this is a crouton horse because it has reins. Unless part of the quest was domesticating a horse and they knew it (Bellerophon had to capture Pegasus himself); or Hazel’s a horse freak and she carries reins in her backpack when she goes on quests (I don’t know), this horse is from Camp Caesar Salad.
Another thing- and I’ll try not to lose you here.
Look back at the cover; Percy is holding a chicken-on-a-stick whose proper name is an Aquila. It’s a type of banner carried into battle and to the Romans it was sacred. If your legion lost their Aquila in battle it was about the equivalent of showing up to school with no clothes as far as humiliation and shame go. Some people even died for it! It kind of makes you wish that Percy wasn't holding it, right?

Also; she’s horseback. If she owns a horse in the Roman army she’s either…
a)    An equite- which is a type of gladiator that fights on horseback, and only fights gladiators of the same type
b)    Maybe she was high in power and had one. A praetor, centurion, whatever.
c)    Maybe she was the one in charge of carrying the Aquila- although I don’t think that those dudes were on horseback.
d)    Cavalry Auxiliaries- an Auxiliary was an add-on strength to roman legions. The auxiliaries were paid less and treated worse than a legion, and they were often provincials. They were thrown into battle often before legions because it was better to lose them than the Roman citizens who made up the legions. So why did they put up with this? To earn Roman citizenship for them and their families if they served for enough time.
Cavalry Auxiliairies is just a division of auxiliaries where they were horseback.

So maybe Hazel didn’t ace her test with Lupa, or she did something wrong, or someone that she really cared about (the demigod kid across the street she babysat, her cousin who is a demigod, her protector…) and she was thrown into an auxiliary to earn her way –or her loved one’s way- into a legion. But this seems awfully forgiving for Lupa after all.
Or maybe Hazel was in a legion and her status is on the line. Maybe she was the one who carried the Aquila for her legion. Let’s say she’s in legion 1, so Jason’s her praetor and that’s how they know each other. When Jason disappeared, so did the Aquila, and she is in serious Styx because of it. It would be her reason for going on the quest if the quest is ‘find the Aquila to stop Gaia from getting control of a legion’; stop Gaia and regain status.
-She’s got curly black hair
I’m just going to say –and those who read my fan fiction will hear me out- that after I figured that the lady on the throne wasn’t Hazel, I was extremely crept out because my version of Hazel had curly hair and liked horses and animals in general.
-She has a cloudy/sunrise background. Ooohh, pretty… *slaps herself* Sorry- moving on.
-She’s wearing blue, and like Frank, her top is long-sleeved.
I think that Roman demigods wear long sleeves when they’re in the Mortal world to cover their arms- more precisely the tattoo. I mean; if the monster hasn’t figured out that you’re a demigod by the smell, seeing your tattoo that says SPQR gives you away. And if mortals see the tattoo as it is, it would be weird to have a kid with a tattoo. You could have 12 year old Jason and co. walking around with tattoos- which sets the mortals on ‘what?’
-She has a gladus at her waist and a roman helmet- but it doesn’t look like it has a crest (the red bit that sticks out)
Meaning she probably didn’t get to Camp the day before.
Another thing; unless the Romans have heavy reliance on the mist, or the helmet has some kind of camouflage device- and that combined with the fact their modes of travel are –as far as I can tell-horse and elephant- Hazel, Percy and Frank probably aren’t planning to go into civilized areas much. Which fits exactly with the cover because who would live on that massive ice chunk?

Am I overthinking this all? Probably. Does that mean that I’m completely out there? Well, maybe. I’m giving myself 50/50 chances, which are way better than the odds I’m giving myself to keep it together before the Son of Neptune comes out. Happy waiting guys, and remember- we’re all in this together!
And now because I can’t finish an article with something that was in High School Musical…
Father, Jason thought. If I’ve ever done anything good, anything you approved of, help me now. I offer my own life- just save my friends.

Actually, it's not just a regular snake. It's a serpent - two serpents, actually, and I have reasons to believe they might show up in The Heroes of Olympus.

I'm talking about Cadmus, founder of Thebes, and his wife Harmonia, daughter of Ares and Aphrodite. Before we start, let's have a look at their little family first:

I'm very sorry it's from Wikipedia. I couldn't find any other family trees :'(

So what made me think they'll be in the series? I'm feeling a bit lazy right now, so I'll make a short list.

1. Remember, HoO will include those plots that couldn't fit in PJO. Cadmus and Percy...

Me:THIS IS NOT A ONE-SHOT!
Me: Ok, Percy do the disclaimer.
Percy: Why?
Me: Because..
Percy: Why?
Me: I will get the Flying Rainbow Duct Tape of Doom.
Percy: NO! NO! Okay. DragoniaWolfe does not own me or any of the characters.
Me: I wish I could.

Nobody was harmed in this chapter.

Percy's P.O.V

"Bianca!" I called. She turned. "Yes?" She said. "You can't go in!" I said. "Why not?" She asked. "Because, you're new at this. I can't let you go!" I yelled. She started to turn to go at the robot. "I am so sorry Annabeth" I whispered as I ran toward Bianca. I quickly took Riptide out of his pen form...

Okay so, I've been asked why i don't like Piper.
Well First of all, i don't LOVE her, i don't HATE her and i don't LIKE her.
So here is how it is:

The Things I like about Piper

She is, as Thalia said, tough for a child of Aphrodite. But that doesn't necessarily mean she IS hardcore tough.

Even though she is scared, she stands up for her friends, she does not betray them and she fights even though she may not know how and is risking a lot.

She isn't a typical child of Aphrodite. She doesn't care about beauty or style. She knows what is more important.

She isn't (thank GOODNESS) a flirt like DREW!...
