Jake's POV 
I wanted to see Bella more but since we went to 2 different schools it was hard. I got out if bed, got dressed, ate breakfast, and than headed off to school. I saw Taylor sitting on the wall like she was yesterday. Taylor was full of secrets it felt. She always seemed to be hinding something. Hey Talor what's up? I asked her. Nothing waiting for school to start. Taylor said. Fun, what's your last? I asked her. I was so curious yo know. It Kullen, why? She asked. Just wondering. I told her. Oh, okay. She sounded like she was relieved. Than the bell rang. We went to our lockers where we met Quil. Hey Quil where is Embry? I asked him. I don't know, I think he is sick. Quil said. Oh okay. I said. Than the 3 of us wen to class. School passed by quickly, than I headed home. It looked like it was fixing to storm soon, so I headed straight home. Hey son, how was school? My dad asked me as I came through the front door. It was good, Embry didn't show up today. There's a new girl at school and she really mysterious like. I told him. What's her name? Dad asked. Taylor Kullen. Do you know how to spell her last name? He asked. Umm, yeah, K-U-L-L-E-N. Why? I asked him. Just wondering. He said. We watched tv and than ate dinner. The storm was coming through here pretty slow but sort of dangerous. I went to my room and played music and do homework. Allthe sudden I hear my dad telling me that someone is at the door. I walked in and the door was open. It was Taylor Kullen, she was soaking wet. Hey Taylor, what's up? I asked her. Well, I was wondering if I could umm ride out the storm here, I lost my key and my parents aren't home. Taylor said. I looke at dad he knodded his head. Yeah sure no problem. I told her. Let me get you so e dry clothes. I told her. I went into my room and found the smallest pants and t-shirt. When Rachel moved out she took all her stuff so we didn't have any girl clothes left. The bathroom is down the hall, first door on your right. I said. I sat on the couch. She was sorta taking a long time. She came out of the bathroom. Thank yall, I'm so much warmer. Taylor said. Where are you from your so southern sounding. I asked. Florida. She said. Here I'll take those clothes and put them in the dryer For you. I said. Thank you. She said. She sat on the couch and watched tv with me and dad. What would you like to watch. I asked her. Anything is fine with me. She said right has the power went off. Dad started laughing, well looks like your going to be watching nothing. Night kids I'm heading to bed. Dad said. Goodnight dad love ya. I told him. Goodnight son love you too. Goodnight Billy, thanks for letting me ride out the storm. Taylor said. No problem, goodnight. It was akward to be sitting in the dark, alone, in my house with a girl. I'm gonna sleep on in the chair you can lake the love seat. Okay, cool thanks. Taylor said. Taylor tell me more about yourself, your like one big mystery. I said. Umm, okay, please don't tell anyone though. Taylor said. Okay I won't. I told her. Okay, I'm form Florida and I don have any parents, I wanted to get away from everything down there. Taylor said. I didn't know where I was headed at first but I manage to come up here. I'm sorry that I lied to you about being locked out of my house, I didn't k ow what to do in the pooring rain. That's why I'm over here because they didn't need me at work when it started raining there. Taylor said. Cool, I promise I won't tell. What about you? She asked. I have lived here all my life, my mom died when I was youngish. Both my sister are in college so it's just me and my dad. I'm sorry about your mom, I know what is it like. Taylor said. It's okay. I told her. Where are you staying if you don't have a house? I asked. I stay in the forest by this little creek I found. It fresh water so it's good to drink. Taylor said. That's kinda cool, but how do you sleep? I asked. I sleep in the trees, back home it was easy, all I had to do was leap from tree to tree and than for food u got apples from trees. Since your nickname is Jake you can all me Tay. It's a lot shorter. Taylor said. Tay.. I like it, it dots you very good.

I didn't veb relize we had fe alseep until dad started waking me up. Jake wake up it's 9 o'clock. Dad said. Oh no we're missing school. I said. No, it's canceld for the day, the powers not on yet. I need you to drive me to Charlies, his' power is on over there. Okay, Tay wake up! Hmm? She said like a question. Get up, school is canceld for the day, we're goigto my dad's friend's house. He has power. Okay, she said as she was streching. Let me go get your clothes. I told her. Ther still soaking wet, you can't wear these. Hold on. I told her.
