"Run,run forever soon,I'll be There!"A voice always ticked.I shot out of my sleep and lightly got out of my bed.With my fuzzy bunny slippers,I walked quietly out of my room,trying not to awake Violet.The air was cold and the first fall leaves had well-fallen.Ranging from colors from purple,gold,and red.The voice was Marîe.My best friend who turned Stirgoi at least three months ago.She was my only dreams.As if she were taking control of them.

My feet crunch as I walked through the lawn of School.I didn't know where to go-much less,who to go to.I walked as far as the school property strecthed and layed under a willow tree.Everything was quiet,peaceful-and not chaotic."Ummm,Aubrey?"A familiar voice called.

It was the voice of my best friend,Ben.Ben had once been in a realationship with Marîe.His gray eyes were ringed with concern."Marîe Dreams",I explained.He nodded his head without no further detail.She was his dreams too.


Really,she was in all of our dreams-Ben,Chase,and I.She seemed to prefer her friends minds."Well,Ivashkov,go to bed-the willow is mine now."He gave me a smug smile and walked back to his dorm.When he was gone,I began walking around.The schools property was behind a mountain and plateaus.

Then I heard the tree.Yep,the tree.It was-knocking.I rapped my fingers around my stake,prepared for anything.Apparently,I wasn't prepared at all,seeing as I flinched.


Marîe was there.She gave my a wry smile.One that replaced her old happy and doppy one.Her fangs were hanging out each side of her mouth.This wasn't Marîe anymore-this was a monster.A dead undead-an unatural freak of nature.


"Aubrey,tell Ben he won't escape-i'll catch him and we'll be together."Her words sent a cold wrap around my body.
