Remember back when I talked about Lollipop Chainsaw and said that it was the most decisive game from Grasshopper before another game. Well, this is the now most decisive. Travis Strikes Again, a spin off, not No More Heroes 3, that people either like or hate. And in case it wasn’t super obvious, I love this game
I feel like it is important to remember that this game is a spin-off and not a main series game, and yet everyone still thinks this is NMH3 and a bad continuation. If this game spits on the legacy of the franchise, then Smash Bros, Pokemon Snap, and the entire Persona franchise are complete bastardizations of the true franchises. But that little rant out of the way, let’s talk about the game. Set seven years after the second game, Travis is attacked by Badman, father of Bad Girl, and the two are sucked into a game console known as the Death Drive MKII. Learning that the console grants the wishes of whoever collects all six Death Drive games, the two go through the games in order to collect them all and make their wishes come true. The game is unlike anything else in the franchise, playing from a top down perspective instead of the classic behind the back third person camera angle. The combat starts you out with it being real simple and bland at first, but once enemy types and chips are introduced, well, it somehow gets deeper than No More Heroes combat, and I love the first game, but it’s combat wasn’t exactly that deep. But here, you got light attacks, heavy attacks, jump attacks, dodges, charge attacks, and a mass assortment of Chips that unlock special moves, which you can use four at a time, so experimenting with them is always good to find your perfect match. The levels, while can go on a little long, are creative and fun to play through, like the tile puzzles of the second level or the bizarre racing level of the fourth one. Hell, the fifth level is a reference and a possible advertisement for another one of Grasshopper’s games. But the real selling point for this game is the co-op. If you got a friend, you can play the game with another player, first player taking Travis and second taking Badman. It really adds to the fun of the game and makes taking down bosses and going through the world’s a whole lot more fun, and with now eight chips instead of four… Oh man, the chaos that can reign. And the game feels way to meta at times. The visual novel sections with it’s witty fourth wall breaking humor, how the game talks about the boring sections and lack of time put into levels like the player was thinking that. How you are playing a game and Travis goes inside of games, one of which allows him to play VR games. This is some meta shit right here. I love it!
I get that this spin off isn’t for everyone, but it was for me, and it’s on the list, and that’s what matters. But seriously, Suda51 and Grasshopper Manufacture were never ones to try and please everyone. They were always very niche with their games, and this game is clearly no exception. I just hope this game sells well enough to get that No More Heroes 3 out. And if you think I’m playing through the Shinobu and Bad Girl DLC, you better fucking believe I am.
I love indie games. Call me a grump, but I just don't see much passion in most video games nowadays. While passion definitely exists thanks to creators like Hideo Kojima, Yoko Taro, Suda51 and many more, big publishers just want to make video games be a quick cash grab, companies like EA, Activision, Bethesda, Square Enix, and Microsoft. But indie developers don't have that kind of desire (Most of the time). All of their games are made on one thing and one thing only: Passion. Their love for the genre and their desire to tell an interesting narrative or to create something, be it out of a creative...

Neon Cloud Striptease~

Apollo: (He made his way down the street, his katana near his hip, as he made his way down the road. At the end of the street rested a small but fancy building, covered in neon lights. The sign read “The Neon Cloud”. The street was empty, most likely to prepare for the fight that was to come. As Apollo made his way to the club, helicopters began to loom over him, cameramen in sight as they filmed every moment of the fight. Apollo entered the building, more and more camera’s set up around the building, all with the Takedown TV logo on the side....

Wind: (Sitting at coffee shop with Cody) So, you think that homosexuals come from space
Cody: Well, how else do people just… become gay
Wind: Thinking it through mentally, maybe
Cody: Nah, that’s silly
(A large protest group walks down the street)
Cody: What’s that?
Wind: A protest, it seems. Let’s see if the cops start to beat them up (Heads out, and Cody follows)

Arnold: We can’t let this racism keep going
Wind: (Passes through the crowd) Get out of my way (Gets to the front of the crowd) Excuse me, but what the hell are you talking about
Arnold: Do you not see the racism around us. Blacks,...

Bishop, Rollen “Roll”, and Tiny Tom are all video game making novices, all wanting to make it big in the gaming industry. However, they lack any skill in creating a game. So, they decide to head to a place known as Glass Sky Hills, where they hope to meet a man known as The Prodigy, who has created several amazing games. When they find The Prodigy, they find him to be a high schooler just like them, named Maximilian, with his alias name being Max 1. Million, but asks the others to call him Maxwell. His love for gaming completely blocks out his love for other things, including people,...

#10: ACT OF VALOR:
He liked Hardcore Henry.
So this movie is KIND of like that. It feels like a game of Call of Duty. I know he doesn't like call of duty. But how can he hate marines shooting the shit out of rapists and terrorists..

I can't wait to see this movie again.

In 1898, Westward Expansion is at an all time high, with people travelling to the inhabited west of the American country to strike it rich. An archeologist by the name of Robert Grimley travelled to the west in search of any ancient artifacts that he believed were undiscovered. As he was patrolling the landscape, he came across a band of slaughtered Native Americans, killed by a group of bandits. After taking what he could from the bandit camp, he found a strange artifact in the shape of a skull. The artifact was known as Mictlantecuhtli, an artifact from an ancient Aztec temple cursed...

This review is just a simple letter from a couple of minutes ago. I am posting this, because by the time you read this, I will be completely insane. And for very good reasons. The reason for my unexpected madness comes from what has to be one of the worst creations ever made in the history of mankind. A creation so evil, that it can even break the most mentally strong. And this abomination that was allowed to walk the earth is none other than the travesty known as Sonichu.
Now, I am not going to be talking about the comics. Instead, I will focus on the character itself, which, honestly, is probably...

Cut Purse

Being the proud leader of the Manehatten Mafia at the age of fourteen, he was given much power. He is a very calm headed man, but, he is also very sadistic, always wanting to kill his enemies himself in painful ways, such as forcing them to drink gasoline before lighting them on fire from the inside, to cutting off pieces of their flesh and feeding it to his dog until they are just a skeleton. He is a merciless, and possibly psychotic, crime boss who is very well known in the criminal underworld, for his popular sales of rare drugs and deadly weapons. He had Master Sword work for him...

I don’t know what it is, but I always enjoyed foggy environments. I mean sure, people have gotten into… more than one car accident in them, but they still fascinate me no matter what. It’s almost as fascinating to me as snow is (Trust me, that’s an upcoming list). Though, unlike snow, fog is used to give off something scary, depressing, or mysterious. And I freaking love that. Hell, even making this list, it’s foggy right now. So, what better time to make a list about foggy environments. Now, some rules. Only from games that I have played, and only one per franchise, as usual. Also,...

There are a lot of DLC, and if you are a true gamer, DLC is something you usually… don’t have high expectations for. They either sell you a bunch of worthless clothing and items for how they would be priced in real life, give you on disc DLC, or even force you to buy their DLC because they have the ending to a game held for ransom. Game companies usually use one of these horrible tactics, or hell, even all of them (Capcom), but what about the few exceptions. What about those guys who use DLC right, giving you a small game for half the price of the original game. That there is perfect DLC,...
