Chapter One- "Assassin"
Sam never saw it coming.
He had ten calmly walking towards the school when the first shot had been fired. A .50 Caliber grazed his neck. Immediately all of the students on the campus ducked for cover.
Sam dove behind a pillar and quickly took off his jacket to reveal the infamous crimson dagger beneath.
This time, the assassin never saw it coming. The dagger flew through the air and impaled itself in the barrel of her sniper rifle. The assassin saw the dagger and leaped for cover as it exploded.
A moment later, Revenge had grabbed her and swung to the nearest building. Before they touched the ground, the assassin had jumped from Revenge's grasp and landed on the building, tossing daggers as she landed.
Revenge dodged the daggers. He turned around just in time to see a green gloved fist coming right at his face. Revenge was unable to get his bearings as the assassin hit him from all sides. She took his legs out from under him and kicked him off the building.
Revenge darted his hand up at the last minute, catching the edge of the building. The assassin stomped his hand and Revenge fell, shooting his grappling line. Before the line had even secured, the assassin had cut the line and Revenge fell again.
Revenge faintly remembered falling on the police car ten stories down and driving off before anyone could check on him.

"So how does Red Revenge know your identity?" Robin asked.
Before the Dark Knight could respond, the zeta-tubes hummed to life.
"Recognized, Red Revenge. B-13." the computer voice rang out. A moment later, Revenge half limped out of the zeta-tube.
Cheshire's mask clattered to the ground in front of the Boy Wonder.
"Keep your villains out of my city." Revenge said. "Or they won't leave at all."
Robin raised an eyebrow at the Batman.
"Go talk to Red Arrow about keeping his villains out of your city." Batman growled.
"Funny." Revenge snarled back, and teleported back to his home.

"Sarah!" Revenge snapped before his bike had even stopped.
"Here we go again." Sarah sighed.
"I want a picture of every female assassin between the ages of 14 & 17 around 5'6"." Revenge demanded, shedding his mask and running a hand through his hair.
Sarah typed in the information and several images popped up.
"Cheshire, 5'8", 17 years old." Sarah said. "Indigo Vengeance, 5'7", 15 years old*. Holly, 5'6", 15 years old. Lione-"
"Stop!" Revenge interrupted. "Go back."
Sarah flipped back one picture to the assassin Holly. The girl had long, blonde hair that flowed halfway to her elbows, a beautiful, curvy figure, and crystalline jade eyes. She had on a see-through green body suit. Over that was a black tank top that stopped well short of her waist, and black short shorts. Knee-high black boots and elbow-length gloves adorned the rest of her figure while a green-white domino mask hid her identity.
"That's the one." Revenge growled.
"Just your type." Sarah muttered.
"What?" Revenge asked.
"Come on," Sarah said, turning to him. "Skimpy clothes, kicks ass, probably extremely girly-girl too. Just like me, Helena, Rose-"
"Don't mention her name!" Revenge growled. "Print out. Background check by the time I get back."
"Sir, yes, sir." Sarah muttered as Revenge walked out.
------------------------------
Sam looked at the picture from the lonely corner of his cafè. The girl was indeed beautiful. And, as Sarah had pointed out to him, she was 'his type'.
Sam suddenly felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned the paper over on the table and turned around to see who had touched him.
A tall, teenaged girl was standing behind him. She had a gracious form, steely gray eyes, and a long, blonde ponytail.
"Samuel Grant?" she asked.
"Yes." Sam said. "Would you... Care to sit down?"
"Sure." The girl replied, taking a seat across from the boy billionaire.
There was something about this girl. Something...
Before Sam could finish his thought, the girl spoke.
"What was the picture? Girlfriend?"
Was it just Sam or did she sound envious?
"Homework." Sam lied. "Can I get you something to drink?"
"Coke please." the girl replied.
Sam ordered the drink. The girl took a sip out of her beverage.
"So why seek me out?" Sam asked.
"I hear you're the go-to guy for information." The girl said.
"What about?" Sam asked.
"Your vigilante, Red Revenge." she replied.
"I don't like masked people in spandex. No offense." Sam said.
"None taken." the girl responded cooly.
"I don't believe I caught your name?" Sam said.
"Artemis." the girl replied after a moment of hesitation. "Artemis Crock."
"Nice to meet you Artemis." Sam said, shaking her hand.
Artemis kissed him on the cheek. "You too." she said. "Thanks for the drink."
Sam nodded and Artemis walked across the street and into an alleyway. A blur of yellow and scarlet followed her.
Sam watched as Artemis and Kid Flash argued. Artemis slapped the speedster and stepped into an abandoned theatre. Kid Flash punched the air where Artemis had been standing before and followed her.
"Homework." Sam muttered, picking up the picture again
