It was 2 hours after the high alert was signaled and the caution level was towering over all others and dread was was looming in the hearts of all the pack leaders. Every one of the alphas were looking out for the alliances (except for kate who was still trying to fit into a fur tight wolf suit) as Winston made sure none would touch the marked targets Lily and Garth.

Lily: "Garth- i'm scared, are you sure we shouldn't postpone the festival, just for a while"?

Garth: "I am so sorry i put you, the best thing that has ever happened to me in such worry and danger. he said with great fear in his voice. We can't postpone the festival now, it's too late now".

Unaware to both of them the western alliance and the eastern alliance had pulled together for a truce and banned together to take out the marked targets Lily or Garth.
Even if one of them died then there would be nothing holding the packs together and therefore war can begin.

On a mountain side overlooking Jasper the alliances omega troop stood looking, menacing, watching over the stage that Lily and Garth were talking next to-ready to hatch their sinister plan, sniper rifle ready, bullets primed and barrel pointed straight for the worrying couple the trigger just centimetres away.

Meanwhile....

Kate was still trying to fit into the wolf suit when winston called Humphrey up to his den.

Winston: "Humphrey, i called you here now to tell you about the high alert i have called on. Has Garth told you about the last time he was in a metal festival when he was an eastern wolf".

Humphrey: "Yeah, like a month ago why"?

Winston: "well the alliances have come together again to try and kill the links that hold the packs together, these links are called Lily and Garth".
"I want you to go and tell kate and hurry humphrey, it's only a matter of time before something happens".

Humphrey: "O.K i will".

Humphrey hurried to the stage, scared out of his life for the souls of his beloved family.

Kate by now had finally fit into the wolf suit and was preparing for the song she was to perform-unaware of the danger they were all in as the alliances time of terror drew ever closer.

At this point Humphrey had just reached the audience zone of the stage and Eve and Winston were watching from an overlooking position. All was going according to plan.

Kate: "wow this wolf suit fits well when i can finally get it on".
as she said walking out of the dressing room and looking to her sister.

The alliances on the hill wanted everyone to watch as the linked couple was to both die on this supposed memorable occasion.

All were watching....
All were still...
They took the aim...
and with a second that passed like and hour.....
They pulled the trigger...
the bullet aiming to go through both of there heads....
until Garth moved and lily jumped....

Like a crack of thunder and a flash of lightning the bullet entered the left side of lilies chest, everyone wide eyed and shocked, Garth's smile suddenly turned into a down pour of tears.

Garth: "Lily!!! NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"

Humphrey saw....

Humphrey: "OH MY GOD NO!!!!"

Kate saw..

Kate: "Lily, what, what just happened, LILY!!"

Eve and Winston saw....

Winston: "Lily!!"

Eve: "No!"

all came running.
Lily hit the floor in a bloodied mess, blood pouring out of her mouth, her chest still abundant with oxygen, and as pure snow white fur fell from the sky....she uttered some words.

Lily: "Garth, what is going on, everything is dark.. i can't see a thing... it's hard to breath".

Garth: "Every thing is going to be fine, Lily just don't leave me!"

Lily: "i love you Garth, i want you to know that". she says coughing blood up over her self

Garth: "Lily!!!"

Lily coughed up blood onto the floor and just as she muttered these words " i love you... ah!" her paw dropped from stroking Garth's cheek to the hard and stony ground and she closed her eyes into peace and into silence.

Garth: "Lily! Lily!! Lily!!! LILY!!!!!!!!!!"

Garth's tears rained down unto Lily's motionless face drowning her in his sorrowful mourning.

Kate: "My sister!! Lily!! Lily!! come back! please!!"

Kate's tear's joined Garth's as they fell like lead balloons unto the floor and lily.

Humphrey: "Kate, i am so sorry!" humphrey said still trying to fight back the tears in his eye's.

Winston: "they killed my flesh and blood" he said flooding his eyes

Eve: "My baby!!! my poor Baby!!" she said whilst hugging her daughter perhaps for the last time.

Garth knelt down and grabbed and hugged lily without a word and wouldn't let go, not caring about staining his fur with blood.

Winston: Get me the WHS (wolf health service)!!!!

They arrived in short time ( better than the british health service ever did) to take lily away.

Garth looked up from the darkness-dried tears adorned his face
and he said but one sentence " i am beyond crying- they will all die for this, they will pay. I should have been the one to die, not her!!!

Winston: wait Garth, you don't know if she is dead or not, we might be able to save her.

Garth: Quit it Winston! look at what she has left on the ground, a pool of her blood just staining the memory of this day!! how could she live after a shot to the heart!!
I have no mortal wounds but it feels like i have been shot in the heart too!!!
They will all pay and i will personally deliver their respite and they will all die!!!!

Garth stood up and dropped one more single sorrowful tear that fell and mixed with the blood staining the floor. He then turned round and walked off with a burning expression on his face and left for his mission with out another word.
