This is about Kate when she first joins the Death Eaters, and ends up turning her parents in to the Ministry. This is part one. Feedback is appreciated, :)
The doors to the meeting room slowly opened, and Kate stepped through, her long cloak sweeping behind her.
Her forearm burned from her recently acquired Dark Mark, and her heels clicked against the floor.
The room was wood paneled and dark, with a long mahogany table in the center, at which more people in black cloaks were sitting.
A fire burned in a marble fireplace, and the flickering light cast shadows across the already dark room.
As Kate stepped in, the roomful of cloaked figures stood, turning towards her.
Lord Voldemort was sitting at the head of the table. He stood up slowly too, sweeping towards Kate.
Kate stood tall, trying not to let her nervousness show, even though her face was covered by her hood.
“Fellow Death Eaters”, the Dark Lords high, cold voice cut through the silence, as it’s owner began sweeping in a wide circle around Kate.
“Tonight, I have gathered us all here to introduce our newest member into our ranks.”, he paused, leaving the Death Eaters gathered around the table to wonder for a moment.
....
Meanwhile, around the table, the Death Eaters scrutinized their newest member. Tanya Smirnoff looked at her husband, Igor Smirnoff, though she couldn’t see his face.
“Pity it isn’t going to be our Kate”, she whispered, her voice blending into the muttered conversations the others were having.
“She never showed any promise, Tanya, you know that”, Igor replied, his voice tinged slightly with sadness.
“Maybe we didn’t do enough”, replied Tanya, shaking her head slowly.
“Don’t be ridiculous, Tanya. We pushed her hard enough. We brought her up like a good Death Eater. She’s the one who rejected this way of life”, Igor said brusquely.
“You know how she was though…she was fierce, determined…if only she hadn’t gone so badly wrong…..”, Tanya Smirnoff sighed regretfully.
“I know, Tanya, I know. Such a waste”, Igor bowed his head.
The Smirnoffs weren’t the only ones carrying on hushed conversations though. As the Dark Lord paused, other snippets of conversation echoed through the room.
“...good one this time. The last newbie we had…..Nagini chow…”
“I hope it’s a girl this time. It’s really hard to meet girls when you’re trying to kill everyone all the time…..”
“Silence”. One word from the Dark Lord was all it took to quiet the room down to a funeral-appropriate level.
“We’ve sustained some losses over the past few months”, the Dark Lord began, starting to pace in a circle around the room.
“Rosen, Germaine, Macnair, all regrettably dead or in the hands of the Ministry”, the Dark Lord paused as the figures around the table bowed their heads for a moment. As the Dark Lord passed the fireplace, the blaze grew brighter, illuminating more of the room.
“But from what I know of this new recruit, our losses do not even begin to compare with what we’ve just gained. Though her future did not seem promising up until a few months ago…..”, he paused again as a murmur swept through the room. The Dark Lord hadn’t ever introduced such a promising sounding new recruit before, and least of all, one who was female.
“...I can safely say that in her case, appearances can be deceiving...very, very deceiving”, the Dark Lord laughed mirthlessly, stopping in front of Tanya and Igor Smirnoff and smirking slightly at them.
“Anyways, I am pleased to introduce you all to our newest recruit...”
Voldemort flicked his wand, and Kate’s cloak tumbled to the ground as he said her name.
“Kate Smirnoff!”
A shocked gasp swept through the room, and there was a thud as one of Kate’s parents stumbled back into the table in shock.
“I trust you will all welcome her as one of you. Meeting adjourned”, the Dark Lord swept out of the room, but the Death Eaters, who’d pulled back their hoods, stayed frozen in place, staring.
Kate coolly surveyed the roomful of faces staring at her. Most of them she recognized, either from her childhood, or from the Ministry WANTED posters.
Kate held her head up, boldly returning everyone’s stares. The days of shrinking in fear were gone.
She surveyed the room critically. They aren’t here? Lenzetta, Paul, and Dmitry haven’t made it yet, but I have?.. That’s ironic...., she thought.
Kate’s lips curved up in a small smirk, the without a word, she turned on her heel and swept out of the room, leaving the shocked silence behind her.

My name is Marisha Cushing. I'm 19 year old pureblood Slytherin. I'm a DeathEater since I was in my last year in Hogwarts.
I'm very loyal to The Dark Lord and I'm proud of it.
I'm a very good duellist, Legilimens and Occlumens. My favourite subejcts when I was in Hogwarts were Potions and DADA.
I'm bold and cold. I'm courageous. I like being sarcastic. I use to be restless and sassy.
I had 3 brothers: Benjamin, David and Marcus. We used to live with our grandparents until their death caused by 2 aurors. That's the reason I hate them and all they represent. I hate muggles too... I think they suck.
OOC:
physical appearance:
Marisha has straight dark hair and grey eyes. She's pale and skinny.
personality:
Mara is sassy and sarcastic. She's restless sometimes. She loves having fun with everything, if she doesn't find something good for it, she can torture any muggle or bloodtraitor to have fun.
