I was sitting in court. No sign of Duncan. I knew he'd never take this seriously.
Judge: well since the husband is not present Im assuming full custody of your soon to be new born child goes to the defendant. Do you have the papers and the signature from your spouse.
Courtney: yes mam.
Judge: perfect, well if there are any objections to this divorce or reasons for the defendant to deny claims to the divorce.
(I have no idea what that means I just made it up.) please speak now.
Duncan: OBJECTION. what ever that means.
Judge: would someone remove him!
Duncan: wait I have something to say.
Judge: NOW!!!
Courtney: if it's no trouble I'd like to hear what he has to say.
Judge: fine but move it along quickly.
Duncan: courtney, When I first met you we were so young and frankly kinda dumb. But even though we were young and clueless I knew I was in love. I make Alot of mistakes but marrying you wasn't one of them. I swear to you I would never do what I did on purpose. I don't deserve you. But please don't take the greatest thing I have away from me.
Courtney: and what would that be?
Duncan: you.
It grew silent. Minutes went by. It seemed like hours so I had to say something.
Courtney: umm I postpone my case.
Judge: very well. Next case.
I looked at Duncan. Then I got up walked out and drove home.
Duncans POV
I can't let her get away this time. I followed her home. She left the door open.
Courtney: Duncan what are you....
I pulled her into a kiss.
Duncan: I'm not loseing you again. Especially now that you need me the most. I love you.
Courtney: I can't tell you how crazy you are.
Duncan: I'm crazy enough to love you.
Nobodys POV.
A couple months later....
Courtney and Duncans Baby girl was born and they named her Casidey Courtneys middle name. Duncan and Courtney continue to be happily married with the occasional fights that ever couple has. Marriage sucks but hey, what can we do about it.
