It was getting darker so Skipper decided that they would start exploring the next day.
The next day came:
They were already walking an hour in the jungle when they came across a nesting site of a long-necked herbivore
Gallis: Ooh! A Saltasaurus nesting site, I'm glad it's not a carnivore's.
Lucile: Let's check it out!
When they came to the middle they saw that one egg was already hatching.
And then came out a cute baby dinosaur and walked his first steps.
It was so cute to see its darling eyes and hear the noise he makes.
Everyone: Awww!
Then Private fainted.
Gallis: Now the mother should be coming back to protect her children.
But she didn't.
Lucile: I thought sauropod mothers would come to protect the children.
Gallis: Everything I've learned is a lie!
Emma: I have an idea! We could build a defense wall around this nest, then copy it and teleport the extras around the other nests.
Kowalski: Great idea! Then we could install a detection system to make it go down when the mothers lay their eggs when the babies are out
They were finished in an hour and a half.
Skipper: Good, now let's go find a cave in that rocky area over there.
They found a safe cave quickly, that is only accessible by them and Compsognathus.
Lucile: Just put the force field on to keep them from getting in.
Kowalski: Now I'll just let this machine automatically make a clear path around the nests to take us back to the plane.
That only took half an hour for the machine to go to the plane and back to the cave.
Kowalski: Its back.
Emma: Now let's arrange where we'll put things for when we come here. Private, can you help me with it.
Private: Certainly.
They arranged the bags, food and machinery on perfect place, because they'll rest and have lunch in the cave
Skipper: I'll make a fire to warm this place up a little. Gallis, come and help me
Gallis: Okay.
Skipper: Good thing I collected dry sticks through our journey in the jungle.
Everyone sat around the nice little fire made by Skipper and Gallis.
He wouldn't let Rico because he was afraid that he might go overboard and burn the sticks into ash.
Rico: Oair!(No fair!)
Skipper: All fair! The last time I let you make a fire in the park you burnt the sticks to ashes and we had to collect more.
They didn't notice that a thunderstorm was coming up.
Gallis: Hey Lucile, maybe this is the right place to make our first kiss.
Lucile: I agree, it very roomy, cosy and not too loud or too quiet. Hey Private, do you mind taking a picture.
Private: Yes, sure. For what?
Gallis: We're gonna make our first kiss here.
As soon as everyone heard they watched them to see the big moment.
Just when they were about to kiss a thunder came and spoiled the moment.
Lucile: Oh, come on nature! When can we kiss?!
Gallis: Don't worry. The sound of rain makes it more romantic.
They finally kissed and Private struck a lucky picture where a Compsognathus pack came running behind them behind the force field.
They ate lunch while they were all watching the pictures they took during the flight and their time in the jungle.
There we're pictures of once thought extinct plants, dinosaurs, funny moments and the final picture: Lucile and Gallis' first kiss.
After that they went to do their different things.
Rico had brought a book on explosives and Miss Perky and her hairbrush.
Private brought his Lunacorn doll and some winkies.
Kowalski brought his inventions that were mentioned throughout the chapter.
Emma brought her diary and a sketchbook.
Gallis and Lucile – of course – brought stuff about dinosaurs.
And the rest brought whatever interested them
Skipper: It's a good thing we brought dinner and breakfast as well
Kowalski: And that I thought of putting an automatic system to sense if it's raining, so that it can put a roof over them
After they had dinner the went to bed .
What will happen the next day? Will they safely make it back to the plane?
Here's a picture of Saltasaurus.
