He frowned. Byakuya's eyes were changing color and not into the nice and sunny colors. Nope, not at all. Shit. With the way they were turning he was about to see just what a Soul Smith's other half was capable of when barrowing the powers. Not that Kuchiki was even aware of any of this. Which was dangerous, for both of them. Did she know? She'd have to know. Which meant if he told the man in front of him, she'd most likely have to kick Byakuya's ass.... No. Even if he wanted to see that kind of fight, it was the wrong time. Definitely the wrong time. "Well, who do you think she is?" For the first time since the younger man was a child, he saw him break his normal unemotional stature. His face became a snarl as his nails scrapped on the antique table until they made themselves fists. "Byakuya, she's gone. She traded herself, her word is her bond. Not even us, her family can go against her." Mira along with most of the Hoard, new members included merely arrived beside the table. "How did you get down here?"Keisuki said shocked. Marz and Set stepped up to the plate. Set folded her arms and growled at the captain. "How could you let her be taken! Do you know how sick those bastards are? If that freak..." Horus clamped a hand on Set's mouth. "Women they can't seem to handle their liquor, especially when they are so small and still getting over jet lag!" Set gave him a dirty look and bit the hand that covered her mouth. Horus cringed but clamped his hand tighter. "Look we've known her for a long time. She's not able to be killed, no matter what they do to her, she'll be alright." Marz rolled his eyes and looked into the reaper's eyes... they were nearly black. He was her mate.
"You're her mate." And the world exploded. Marz caught the blade with his own. "What do you mean by mate?" Marz paled. "You didn't know? How could you not know?" Keisuki stepped in. "Because she didn't tell him...Well she may have given him heavy hints." Byakuya's eyes narrowed at him. "Those dreams you told me about, you said it was as if she was teaching you about her people. There's only one reason why she would."
Byakuya eased and turned away from everyone. "So, we are to be man and wife?" Mira coughed. "Not if she does not deem it. In 5 years, she will die...."
"DIE! I Don't want her to die! " Karen screamed, as tears flowed like torrents down her cheeks. Flack caught her before she could rush in completely. "Shhh little one. This is what she wants. That way she can be with him and finally be forgiven her greatest sin."

If not if the mask finds her and we are too late, the hollow will swallow her completely and with her powers she'll be unstoppable with only one option." Byakuya gave Issin a sideways glance. "How do you know?" Mira said sliding out her daggers. "Because my nana would pay me in snacks and trinkets whenever I found anything having to do with the mythical people of the Valley of Flowers. His nana, he still could see her face overjoyed at having such a treasure. "She loved compiling anything having to do with them. Jamie clung to her fear as a teddy bear, close to her hearts. Each door they passed she could sense other lives hanging in the balance. "You've been busy, its impressive for the short time that you've been here. How long have you been here?" The woman behind her laid a hand on Jamies hip. "Oh, if you want answers, you'll have to anie up." Jamie shivered. Hunchback barked at them from down the hall. "Hmph, even now, he's your friend. He says he'll kill me since it was due to my desire to have you that started the fire the last time. True, very true. I'll have to wait til Ice is done with you and that will take at least 5 years. But we have eternity, so 5 years isn't much in the way of things." The woman kissed the nape of her neck and kicked her to the Hunchback who snapped at his counterpart as he gripped Jamie up by the arm and half carried her into the room where Ice waited for them.
