You may remember that last year we voted for Favorite Season 3 couple and character. I plan to do the same thing this year, after the finale airs. But before that I wanted to remind you of the way of voting and also the last year's results.

How we voted:
>In every round we voted for our favorite couple/character.
>The one with the least votes would go out.
>If there was more couples/characters with the same % of votes, then there would be an elimination round, in which we would vote for our least favorite out of them.

And now here are the results of last year's voting for ♥ Favorite S3 couple


♥12. Bonnie and Jamie

How they were eliminated:
We haven't really seen much of them and they did not gain many fans. They were the first couple to go out. They went to elimination round and competed against Stefan + Rebekah and Katherine + Damon.
What you said about them:
Comments about them were mostly negative: "ewwww", "awful", "meh". But some of you said that they weren't that bad, you just prefer the other two couples: "They weren't completely awful, but Stebekah and Datherine are much better. "

♥11. Stefan and Rebekah

How they were eliminated:
The next eliminated couple was Stebekah. We haven't seen much of them, either. After 3.03 and 3.04 they had just a few scenes together. They went to elimination round with Damon/Katherine and Damon/Rebekah. It was very close voting, but in the end, you liked Rebekah a little bit more with the older Salvatore brother.
What you said about them:
There were really different opinions about them. From: "I hate this couple!" to: "I actually liked Stefan & Rebekah =O" (I know I loved them :))

♥10. Damon and Rebekah

How they were eliminated:
Damon and Rebekah were the next couple to go out, but they made it to the TOP 10. They were in the elimination round against Alaric and Meredith and they lost.
What you said about them:
Most of you didn't want them romantically involved, but you liked the idea of them becoming friends: "i want Damon + Rebekah as friends mostly. " Some of you liked their hook up in 3.14: "Scene between Damon/Rebekah 3x14 was hot... " And some actually liked the idea of them as a couple: "I like the idea of Damon and Rebekah! Sue me !!!! "

♥9. Bonnie and Jeremy

How they were eliminated:
Alaric and Meredith won once again in the elimination round. This time against Bonnie and Jeremy.
What you said about them:
There were actually no comments in this round. And no comments about Bonnie and Jeremy at all throughout the competition.

♥8. Alaric and Meredith

How they were eliminated:
3rd time in the elimination round for Alaric and Meredith. This time the competition was too strong. They were competing against Steferine.
What you said about them:
Most of you thought they were OK, but you just loved Steferine much more: "Sorry, Alaric/Meredith, but Steferine is just WAY better. ", "I like Alaric/Meredith but I love Steferine :) ", "I like them both, but SK more. "

♥7. Katherine and Damon

How they were eliminated:
We haven't seen much of them in Season 3. But they had one very hot kiss in the car and Katherine even sacrificed her freedom to make Stefan save Damon and that was enough to get this couple to #7 on this list. They were in the elimination round with Jeremy and Anna.
What you said about them:
"As much as I enjoy Datherine scenes, Janna was flawless this season! <3" Most of us liked their dynamic, but thought she wasn't good for him: "I love Damon too much to ship him with someone who hurt him that much ", "I never understand how someone who loves Damon can ship him with her "

♥6. Stefan and Elena

How they were eliminated:
Even though I am not a fan of them I thought they were eliminated too early, especially considering that they were always on the 3rd or 2nd place in every round. But in round 7 they were tied with 3 other couples, so they went to elimination round and they were voted as least favorite.
What you said about them:
Most of TVD fans either love them: "OTP! <3 ", "Always and forever <3" or dislike them: "Hate it! ", "Just don't see it...sorry". Same goes for DE. I guess that's normal when there's a love triangle.

♥5. Jeremy and Anna

How they were eliminated:
Jeremy and Anna made it to the TOP 5. And they were the first couple that was eliminated in the regular round, which means that when we were voting for favorite couple in this round, for the first time there were no ties, so there was no elimination round. Jeremy and Anna simply had the least votes and they went out.
What you said about them:
Some were not interested in their story: "Personally I don't care about them at all :) " But most voters liked/loved them: "I miss this couple! Please, Anna come back! <3", "I loved Anna and Jeremy in S3. They had amazing story, romantic and tragic and beautiful. <3<3<3 "

♥4. Katherine and Stefan

How they were eliminated:
We've seen them interact in only 2 episodes, I think. But Katherine proved that she doesn't think only about herself when she made Stefan care again and save his brother, risking her life and freedom, but in this round they couldn't compete with Delena, Klaroline and Forwood.
What you said about them:
Some voters did not see chemistry between the actors: "I just don't see chemistry between Paul and Nina..." but a lot of voters said they really like them.

♥3. Caroline and Tyler

How they were eliminated:
In Season 3 Caroline and Tyler went from friends to lovers and they made it to the TOP 3 on our list of favorite couples.
What you said about them:
Not much, but apparently a lot of people like them, otherwise they wouldn't make it this far. :)

♥2. Caroline and Klaus

How they were eliminated:
Klaroline made it to the finale! They competed against Damon and Elena, and they had 33% of votes in the final round and ended this competition on the 2nd place. Amazing right? considering that they were not even a real couple. But we loved their dynamic and chemistry and kind of "Beauty and the Beast" story.
What you said about them:
There were a lot of "I love Klaroline <3" and similar comments. A lot of voters said that they are their #2 favorite couple (usually after SE or DE).

♥1. Damon and Elena

How they won:
Damon and Elena had the most votes in every single round from beginning to the end of this competition. With 67% of votes against Klaus and Caroline in the final round, DE became #1 favorite couple in Season 3.
What you said about them:
Like I said it's very tricky when a couple is part of a love triangle. There are always people who love the other side of triangle more. Luckily there weren't any ship wars in the comments, because most of the time we voted for the couples we loved the most, and there were many "OTP <3" comments for both DE and SE. Some voters did not like the fact that DE won, because they always do: "I love Klaroline <333 but of course Delena will win, typically, as they always do. " But some thought that "DE is the best couple ever. "

Now I have some questions for you:
1. What do you think about results? Is the order of the couples fair and realistic or not?
2. Did you like this way of voting or do you prefer voting for least favorite in every round?

4. Did I forget anyone?
Should I include Bonnie and Jeremy even though they were not together in season 4, but it seemed that they still had feelings for each other?
Should I include Matt and Rebekah maybe? It was hinted that she has a thing for him, but her feelings were not that obvious like Klaus' feelings for Caroline for example and we've seen very little of them.
Also, I did not include Katherine with the Salvatores because they had just a few scenes together and none of them was romantic.
