“What do you mean? What’s happened?” Damon urged. Katherine hung her head solemnly.
“The new vampires in town are the same ones that were obsessed with me back in the 1850’s. The exact same ones.” My jaw dropped and I gasped.
“Why are they here? Why now?” said Damon as he tensed up and clenched his fists.
“My guess is that it’s because I’m close to my…humanity, which is, FOR NOW, Elena,” she said, accentuating the words ‘for now’ and staring maliciously at me. I took a step back. Damon placed himself as if he was ready to protect me from anything. His eyes were wide.
“Katherine, you need to leave. That way both you and Elena will be safe,” he said anxiously.
“Damon, they now know where we both are. They won’t just go away if I leave. They’ll track both Elena and I down. And they are strong. Like, impossibly strong. If I had my humanity, I’d be completely and utterly frightened right now. Just like her,” she smirked, pointing at me. Damon spun around and saw me, a pale, wide-eyed girl reclining from the vampires slowly. He put out his hand to me but I ignored him. I was indeed frightened. These were vampires that Damon and Stefan couldn’t beat. If they fought, they would die. I couldn’t lose them.
“No, Damon. I-I can’t…this is all far too much this time…” And with that, I pathetically fainted on the floor.

I heard someone distantly calling my name.
“Elena, Elena! Are you ok? Please, wake up!” And I felt a hand shaking my arm, and another hand holding the back of my head. Slowly, the voice got louder and my eyes flickered open. I saw Damon’s distraught and worried face hovering over mine.
“Damon, I-I’m sorry…” I mumbled, but he shushed at me and stroked my hair.
“You’ve done nothing wrong. How are you feeling?” he asked softly. I nodded feebly and tried to sit up, but my back ached from the sudden fall when I had fainted on the hard wooden floor. He lifted me in his strong arms and placed me down on the soft, comfortable sofa. He knelt beside me and searched my face with his grey eyes. His beautiful grey eyes. I suddenly remembered the news about the other vampires and groaned. Damon shook me gently again but I batted him away with my hand mumbling – lying – ‘I’m fine…” He looked unsure but glanced back at Katherine.
“How can we get rid of them? I mean you can’t take away another piece of your soul,” he said worriedly to her. She put her hands over her face and looked like if she could cry, she would. Suddenly I felt overwhelmed. I felt that terrible aching feeling in my chest again and suddenly I felt very strange. Words that weren’t mine poured from my mouth.
“I’m so sorry that I have caused this. I should have never come back here. Now I’ve disrupted your lives and I never meant for that to happen. I’m so scared, not just for me, but for us all,” and my mouth snapped shut. The three vampires in the room were staring at me, their eyes so wide they looked like they were going to fall from the sockets.
“Wha-what did you just say?” Katherine choked. Damon’s mouth was hanging open, as was Stefan’s. “You just…talked my words. The words that I’m incapable of saying. How…-” They looked as bewildered as I probably did. What had just happened to me?
“I don’t know…” I replied. Damon stared at me, dumbfounded.
“It must be the connection between both of you,” he looked at both Katherine and I. “The souls are interacting. It must be the fact that you’re so close to one another…” he mused, still staring at me.
Jeremy parked his car at the address Veronica had given him. She was waiting for him outside.
“What are those signs?” Jeremy asked, pointing at the signs on the wall.
“They’re to keep ghosts out” Veronica explained.
“Ghosts?” Jeremy asked skeptic.
“Yeah, you know, dead people” Veronica said. “You can’t see the signs during the day, because it’s fluorescent paint”
“So, ghosts can’t enter” Jeremy said slowly.
“Well, they can travel with mediums, but you’re not a medium” Veronica replied obviously. She squeezed her eyes and cast Jeremy an exploratory glance....

The next morning
Grumpy and irritated Klaus entered Ric’s loft. Even with Tyler dating Veronica, Caroline was still clinging onto her ex-boyfriend. He should’ve never turned Tyler. He should’ve just killed him.
“Nik”
Klaus reluctantly looked up at Rebekah who came off the stairs.
“We need to talk” she said with her hands on her hips. She waited for Klaus to say something back, but he just raised his eyebrows. “You have to tell Stefan what happened in the past. We are losing him, Klaus. Katherine is weaving her web around him and we need to get him out before it’s too late”...

Okay, for all of you Delena and Klaroline shippers, I am going to FIX this NOW!

"You're going to do WHAT?!" Caroline was trying to keep her voice down.
"Haylee found a witch strong enough to do the body jump spell, ya know, the Klaus specialty." Tyler explained, fake snow falling all around them in the town square.
"So you're going to put him into someone else's body and then what?"
"We'll encase the body in concrete, then bury it."
"Why not just desiccate him like Bonnie did?"
"Because to do that spell you have to stop a human heart and I was a little short of volunteers." Tyler said the obvious....

Bonnie and Damon were in the living room of the Boarding House. Bonnie was placing white candles in a triangle. As she lit each of them she mumbled Latin words. When she was done, she blew out the match and looked at Damon.
“So, here’s what we’re going to do” Bonnie said. “You have to step into the triangle and sit down”
“And what are you going to do?” Damon asked, quite insecure.
“I’m going to stay outside the triangle” Bonnie answered. “I will put you under some sort of hypnosis. I will be with you in your subconscious”
“Very reassuring” Damon said sarcastic.
“Now...

Bonnie was sitting with Keith in the cafeteria, having lunch, when a nurse came her way. “You have a visitor”
“I’m eating” Bonnie replied.
“He said it was urgent” the nurse said.
“Fine then” Bonnie said and she stood up and followed the nurse. When she got back at her room she had to pinch herself to make sure she was not hallucinating.
“What are you doing here?” Bonnie asked very surprised.
“You thought I wouldn’t figure it out?” Damon asked arrogant.
“You didn’t” Bonnie shook her head. “Katherine did”
Damon made a step forward. “How do you know that?...

Elena was leaning against the door trying to hear what was being said when Damon pushed the door open. Elena rubbed her temple and looked angry at Damon.
He frowned, then got the picture. “Sorry” he mumbled.
“Where’s Kat?” Elena informed.
“Gone” Damon said short. “She won’t bother to come here…ever”
Elena gave him a weird look, but decided not to ask any further. Not about Kat, anyway. “Was that Caroline? I thought I heard her voice”
“Yeah, but she’s gone too” Damon said.
“Why?” Elena asked.
“I sent her away” Damon said, avoiding Elena’s look.
Elena shook...

The next morning.
It was still very early and the sun hadn’t gone up completely yet. Nevertheless, there seemed to be quite some activity down in the woods. The night before sheriff Liz Forbes had received an anonymous phone call, giving her the exact location of where to find the body of Gabe Lindy. Liz had heard the voice before. It had been the same person who told her where the bodies of the Lindy sisters were. So it was pretty obvious that whoever the caller was, they were the murderer or at least they knew who did it.
“What do you got here?”
Liz would never get used to her daughter...

Matt parked the car on the parking lot of the clinic and looked at Caroline. “What are we doing here?”
“Visiting a friend who can help Elena” Caroline said avoiding.
“What friend are you talking about?” Matt asked careful, though he had a suspicion. And since Caroline consciously looked away, he knew his suspicion was true. “Wow. She’s been here all this time? No wonder we haven’t seen her anywhere”
Caroline turned to Matt. “You can’t tell anyone” she said sharp. “If Elena finds out, she won’t be happy”
Matt raised his hands. “She won’t hear it from me”

Jeremy ran through the hallway of the hospital. Stefan had given him a call to fill him in and he had also mentioned in which room Elena was ‘staying’. Ignoring the reproaching of several doctors and nurses and other medical staff he opened the door and stopped to breathe.
“Jeremy, why aren’t you at school?” Elena asked a little harsh.
“I was there” Jeremy said. “But then Stefan called me, saying you were sick”
Elena looked away. “He shouldn’t have said that” she said grumpy. Jeremy walked to the bed and sank down. “How are you feeling?”
“I’m fine” Elena said...

Elena, Jeremy and Ric were sitting at the kitchen table having dinner. Well, Jeremy was eating. Elena was stirring in her food and Alaric was looking at her.
“If you wanted mashed potatoes you could’ve asked” he said. Elena looked up distracted. “What? No, it’s good. It’s really nice” she said.
“How would you know?” Alaric asked. “You didn’t eat yet”
“It looks really nice” Elena said shrugging.
“If you’re not hungry, that’s fine” Alaric said. “You don’t have to eat. But if there’s something else, I want you to tell me”
Elena looked down at her plate,...

Rebekah was sitting on the couch in Stefan’s loft, while Stefan himself was trying to reach Katherine.
“Come sit with me, Stefan” Rebekah demanded. Stefan lifted his hand to shut her up. Rebekah frowned, insulted. She whistled and when Stefan turned around annoyed she poured her glass of blood on the couch. Stefan turned around again and stopped his attempts to get a hold of Katherine.
“Why am I even trying?” he mumbled.
“She’s not worth it” Rebekah scoffed.
Stefan turned to the kitchen and searched through the cupboards. He then came back with a bucket with water, a sponge and...

Caroline took her books she needed for the next few classes and closed her locker. Elena leaned against the lockers and looked at her. She saw the red underneath Caroline’s eyes. “Hey, have you been crying?”
Caroline shook her head. “No” she said with a small voice. She swallowed and forced a smile. She sighed and looked at her friend. “No” she repeated a little steadier. “I saw Tyler at the Grill today”
“Oh” Elena blinked. “And how was he? Did he tell you what happened?”
Caroline shook her head again. “Not exactly. He…said it’s none of my business what he does...

“What are you doing?” Derek asked curious at Damon who was sitting between the wooden planks in his bedroom.
“I’m trying to fix the bed” Damon said obvious.
“Can I help?” Derek asked excited. Without awaiting an answer he kneeled and picked up a nail and hammer. While he hammered he tried to make a subtle conversation. “So, you and your girlfriend, how long have you been together?”
“Two months and a half” Damon said. “Why?”
Derek shrugged. “Nothing. Just curious” he said. “And have you…you know?”
Damon looked at Derek, frowning. “No, and I wouldn’t tell...

I don’t even need to tell you how many times he saved Elena.
He was willing to be killed by Klaus just so Elena could talk to Stefan
He’s always the one who saves the day yet he lets someone else get all the credit.
He was willing to take away Elena’s memories while he was gone even if it meant she’d still be mad at him.
He was the one who offered to take away Jeremy’s memories about Vicki.
He returns Elena’s necklace every time she loses it.
Took a shot from Vanessa to save Elena.
Followed Elena into a mountain and helped her look for Stefan even though it was extremely dangerous.

I am so worried about my girl!! Elena Gilbert never wanted to be a vampire; she wanted a human life with children and then died in peace. Her Father, Grayson Gilbert was a conceal member. Yes, she loves Stefan and Damon, but she didn’t want to become a vampire :( Elena is such an inspiration for me as a human, after all she went through, she was still so strong and kind, caring, selfless and loving… Now, that she is not human anymore, I’m afraid she will become like Katherine, who was a good person when she was human, when she was Katarina Petrova.
Katherine Pierce is a thoroughly different “person”. Why makes her a vampire now? Why? I know that she will be one, sooner or later to be with one of the brothers but I didn’t expect so soon! I just hope she will still be as kind as she used to be!
Don’t take me wrong, I love Katherine but I do not want Elena to turn off her humanity!!
He threw the sheets off and checked his tummy. The wound was gone, healed. He pulled all threads and climbed out of bed. He took off the hospital apron and put on his own clothes. He felt something in his pocket and conjured a dagger. He didn’t wonder how it got there. He knew what it was for. As soon as he had his shoes on he left the room.
“Jeremy!”
Alaric looked at him with tired, red eyes.
“You’re awake!”
Jeremy nodded. “I have to find Elena, she needs to help me save Damon”
Alaric shook his head. “You’re still weak from Damon’s attack on you” he said. “You should...

1912 Damon
1912 Damon
First off; if you haven't seen 1912 this is your spoiler alert. This is an article about the character development and events within the episode. You have been warned :)

This episodes was fantastic. Not only a flashback, which we haven't had in awhile. But it completely broke off from the regular story line. A focus on the Salvatore's together-with very little Elena. Matt and Elena have some real bonding time. While Alaric has the day from hell.

The star of this episode was Damon. You start off with him coming to Ric's defense and running into Elena. He has some really snarky lines that are...

Klaus was standing in the center of the parking lot, staring in the distance, waiting for his spy to come back with the doppelganger. He had no intention in killing her rightaway. Not if there was a chance both Salvatores would come to her rescue and could witness her death. That would be beyond his imagination.
He heard some struggling and understood they were back.
“Excellent timing” he slowly said when Amber dropped Elena before his feet. “Please, be a little careful with our special guest”
Amber shrugged. “She’s just a human. She doesn’t matter”
“You were human, not so long...

Alaric raced over the road, an agitated and furious Damon next to him. Keeping his eyes on the road he said: “Try to keep your cool when we’re at Bonnie’s, okay? I know you don’t like her very much, but right now you need to get over that”
“Yeah, I don’t need convincing” Damon snapped. “For all we know Elena might be dead already, so my fued with Bonnie is really the least of my worries”
Alaric averted his head to Damon. “Okay” he said calm. “Is anyone going to tell Jeremy? He needs to know”
“I agree” Damon said. “Good luck on that one…Can’t this thing get...

One week later…

Sunray illuminated Elena’s face. She was awake, but didn’t want to get out of bed yet. The past week had been quite hectic. After Stefan and Damon had brought her home from the hamburger place Damon had returned and taken care of tattoo-guy. Or that was what he had planned to. However, when he got back he told Stefan and Elena that there was good news and bad news.
“The good news is that he’s not dead. Yay you, Elena” Damon said throwing his fists in the air. “The bad news is that he’s probably a vampire and he’s gone” That was a bummer. He assured Elena he...
