August 18
Bright and early Saturday morning. No one other then Chloe is away at this time. What else would she be doing? She had things to contemplate. It was barely close to the end of August and already something huge has happened. What could she do about it? Should she confront him or leave an awkward memory between them. Afterwards he did apologize but still. It was startling.
Friday evening he knocked on her door. It was the second time Eric had visited since she first moved. He seemed frustrated and confused. When she opened the door, he lunged at her. Not in attack mode or whatever. He lunged at her as in out his pouty lips against hers. Chloe was a little surprised but soon forgot all his worries. It was an amazing kiss but it was wrong. He had a girlfriend or so she thought.
It took a couple of seconds before she tore him off of her. He had tears in his eyes. He mumbled an apology and abruptly left. He room was upstairs sleeping so she didn't hear a thing. Eric had just left her standing there feeling confused. He was probably more confused by everything but still. Back at her old school, guys weren't so expressive with their feelings. They usually weren't straightforward but Eric was different.
Chloe did the only thing she did when she needed guidance. She needed a friend. She dialed Blair's number and told her to come over, it was an emergency.
Eric was over at Shea's again today. Shea wanted to color coordinate their outfits for the week. Eric wasn't all that into it. He was still a little upset about 'the kiss' but what was he suppose to do. Was he suppose to tell his girlfriend. On the other hand, he did have an idea. "Shea, I have some horrible news," he began. "I will tell you but you must promise me that we can speak of that party Sunday."
She stayed focus on the clothes. "Honey, you're too cute. Sunday night never happened. Just tell me whatever you have to tell me."
"It did happen and you can't change it," he said.
"Do you think I wanted that girl to get hurt?" Shea had a few tears and her voice was cracking. It was the first signs that Shea had a heart. It was almost touching. "How was I suppose to know she had already been drugged? How was I suppose to know she had an overdose? God, Eric!"
Eric had never seen Shea so defenseless. He cradled her in his arms. "You didn't do anything. It was all her. You are going to be okay." All worries about his cheating vanished. Chloe wasn't important right now, Shea was.
Blair was at Chloe's house in just a matter of seconds. She received the emergency voicemail a few moments ago. Her friend needed her. This is way more important then chemistry homework. Her mom told Blair that Chloe was in her room. Blair found Chloe staring out the window. Chloe immediately turned around. At first, there was a smile on her face and then it turned to a frown. "What's wrong?" Blair asked.
"What's wrong is that I have the biggest secret to tell but I can't tell you," said Chloe.
"Why not? I'm your best friend?" Blair was a little confuse.
"If I tell you, then I won't have a best friend anymore. I'll just have me." Chloe said. "You do know Corey Louis likes you right?"
"No! Is that he secret?" Blair never in her life thought that Corey Louis liked. It was idiotic.
"Nah, that isn't it," Chloe said. "Do you promise not to get mad?"
"No, of course I won't."
"Eric kissed me yesterday."
She was quiet for an awfully long time. The awkwardness only grew. "Oh, well, great," she said. She had a plastered smile on her flawless face. It was obvious she wasn't thrilled.
Corey Louis has a date today and was getting prepared for his date this evening. Ever since the makeover, his life has been awful! He hasn't had much time for school work, Blair doesn't even notice him, and he can get any girl he wants but Blair. The only reason why he went on these dates was because he had to keep his reputation up. Shea was even forcing him. She said he had to make Blair jealous by dating other girls.
The full length mirror Shea bought him was located at the edge of his room. He stood in front of it. The red tie and black and white suite made him feel uncomfortable in his own skin. This wasn't him. This was some alter ego that Shea created. Everything was happening so fast and he wasn't even able to keep himself stable. No, instead he went along with everything Shea had said. This wasn't him. This wasn't who he wanted to be. He would have to think of some other way to win Blair over.

I'm cheerful on the outside yes, but under this huge hyperfilled, cheerful girl is a fragile antique.
On the outside some see me as normal or energetic maybe the one apple with a hole in the barrel.
I'll plaster a smile every now and then to show the me-the fake me- to disguise the actual one pulling the strings.
As I stand before the mirror starring at myself I see that figure looming behind me his hand on my shoulder.
And at that moment my mask breaks and I'm stunned at my actual self.
I'm filled with depression, sadness, anger and haterid.
Never did I want to ever see the true me.
The mirror breaks and the man next to me whispers "Your mine." I look down in defeat.
Dropping to the ground-on my knees-I begin to cry.
He got the better of me and now I am no more.
"I'm a monster." I say to myself through a sob.

I am a broken-winged eagle
Who cannot fly
Because I have set no goal for myself.
Other people laugh and scoff at me,
And I know that I must quickly find something
To hope for.
Everyday I think,
"What's the use? Nothing is my talent. Give up."
People think I am nothing but stupid,
But I can see that light within myself.
I have not yet soared.
I have not yet found my dream.
One day, I find something unique to dream for.
Writing.
Something that can take me to faraway places
Anywhere, beyond this universe.
And now I can soar.
Far, far, faraway
Where no one can catch me.
Where no one can disturb me.
Where I can be free.
Where I will no longer be
A broken-winged eagle.
Who cannot fly
Because I have set no goal for myself.
Other people laugh and scoff at me,
And I know that I must quickly find something
To hope for.
Everyday I think,

Let us hold hands in joy
Let us sit on the warm white sand
And let us watch the sun set tonight
We're gonna be a pair
We're gonna fly away
And let nobody go into our minds
Toni-i-ight
We're gonna slowly stand up
Listen to the waves
Roar and wash into the sand
And I'm gonna lean on you
Oh where were the times?
Where were the moments?
It seems like last year
When I kissed you and locked eyes
The sun's settin
But we're never gonna leave each other
Not if we stay together
Like ever...like forever
Watch the sun set
Watch the waves roll into each other
Oh my dear,
We're gonna never be separated
Sun sets,
Waves roll,
We're gonna sleep...
Side by side.
