Hey, look, the disturbing stuff is back…… Goodey. Now, the list is the same as the first two. These have to be things that disturb me, and they have to be something that wasn’t on my original list. Now, with that said, lets start the list
#10: Birdo from Super Mario Bros - Now, there have been a few disturbing things in the Mario universe. Mostly in Super Paper Mario. But, lets go back to the first disturbing thing ever in a Mario game. Back in 1988, there was an enemy called Birdo, who would shoot eggs at you. Doesn’t sound too bad, until, you read the games instruction booklet, where it says that Birdo is actually a transvestite man. No, that is not a joke, Birdo is actually a boy who dresses and acts like a girl. And to prove this theory further, in the Japanese game, Captain Rainbow, Birdo was actually a minor character, who was arrested by police for walking into the girls bathroom… yeah, that’s just weird
#9: Misty’s Bath Scene from Pokemon Manga - Now, Pokemon has been thought of to be a family friendly show. Well, the show and the games, sure, but the manga. Oh, the manga doesn’t fuck around. I could have put anything from here onto this list. Whether it was the zombie Psyduck with decaying flesh, or the fact that an Arkbark gets sliced in half and dies in a very gruesome way. So, why am I including a bath scene instead? Well, here’s the thing. In the manga, the female characters were portrayed in a more… pleasing way to the males. For example, Jessie, the member of Team Rocket, was given larger breasts. And Officer Jenny was given a mini skirt, which is smaller than the usual mini skirt. But, then there is Misty’s bath scene, where she is taking a bath and her private parts are censored out by suds of soap. How is this disturbing. Simple. Misty is only a twelve year old girl. Yes, the manga is actually sexualizing a twelve year old girl. And, no, this isn’t some sort of Japanese cultural thing. The legal age for conception in Japan is fourteen, and Misty is only two years younger than the legal age. That’s just messed up in so many ways
#8: Golden Axe Voice Actors - Golden Axe was a Sega Genesis exclusive game back in 1989. It was a fantasy beat-em up where you traveled to different levels, ranging from a town on top of a turtles shell, to riding a giant bird. It was a real fun game… but, there was something that was very sinister about the game. The voice acting in this game really didn’t consist of much. Just some screams from the enemies after you defeat them. But, the thing is, who were the games voice actors. Well, would you believe me if I said the voice actors were actually inmates who were sentenced to death. Yes, the voice actors in this game are criminals who have done so much wrong that their lives are scheduled to end. When you think of it that way, that makes the game seem like some sort of creepypasta… only, you know, it isn’t total bull
#7: Lemming Suicide from White Wilderness - Now here is a real popular one. White Wilderness was a 1950 documentary made by Disney. However, when it showed the Lemmings, it featured dozens of Lemmings throwing themselves off a cliff and killing themselves in massive numbers. The documentary says that Lemmings always fling themselves off cliffs in order to find new land, or die trying. Usually, it ended up being the latter. However, it has been proven that Lemmings do NOT throw themselves off cliffs in massive numbers. So, theories have been going around saying that the camera crew actually scared the Lemmings toward a cliff and forced them to throw themselves off cliffs. Is it true that the Disney corporation was responsible for the death of dozens of Lemmings. Well, false or not, it’s still real disturbing
#6: Human Chimera from Fullmetal Alchemist - Now, this is probably one of the most disturbing things to ever happen in this series. It starts when Edward and Alphonse visit Shou Tucker and his daughter, Nina, and her dog, Alexander. so they can learn about bio-alchemy. As they spend time there, they begin to form a bond with Nina, and she tells them that her mother left her and her father years ago. However, it was proven that she was actually killed when Shou tried to experiment on her. And, he then goes and does the same to Nina and her dog, turning them into a Human Chimera, a terrifying creature that speaks in a soft voice. And after this is found by Edward, he wants to kill Shou, but can’t, since Nina is still able to understand what’s going on, and doesn’t want it to happen. Dear god, that is freaky. Oh, and then Scar comes and kills Shou, then kills Nina out of mercy. Let me remind you, this is a little girl we were talking about
#5: Cat in the Hat Origins - Now, we all know the famous story of the Cat in the Hat. Its about a talking cat that comes over when the children are home alone and tries to ease their boredom, only causing mischief. Now, this may seem harmless… if it wasn’t for the fact that this is trying to give a message. The story is about why you shouldn’t leave children home alone, especially when the door is open so that anyone can walk in. And, the Cat’s hat is red and white stripes, which, at the time the story was released, was used in prison to identify criminals. And not just any criminals, but pedophiles… Hear that? That’s the sound of your childhood being destroyed.
#4: Saya no Uta - Now, this is actually a very well written visual novel, but it is still freaky as hell. It is about a guy who loses his family in a deadly car crash, and then wakes up to find a world filled with everything made of blood and gore. Even the people are now monsters. However, the only person who isn’t a monster is a girl, who is there to help the main character. What makes this so disturbing, you know, minus the world of guts, and the deadly monsters, is the fact that we don’t know if this is really happening, or if the protagonist is just going insane due to the death of his family. It’s real creepy. But still, I’d recommend watching a walkthrough, or playing it yourself. It’s real good.
#3: Issei Sagawa AKA The Kobe Cannibal - Now, what this is where things get REAL messed up. Now, The Kobe Cannibal is a man in Japan who killed and ate people, and was later arrested for it. Now, this has been done before by other killers. It may not be new, except, there is something more disturbing. He was later released, and people began asking him questions, about what people actually taste like, and he said that it tastes like fish. And, yes, he is still free to this day, and, let me remind you, the people of Japan are treating him like a celebrity. Japan may do some weird stuff at times, but THIS! What the fuck, Japan
#2: Ring Around the Roses Origin - Now, we all know this nursery rhyme. “Ring around the roses. Pocket full of posies. Ashes, ashes. We all fall down”. Now, would you believe me if I said this nursery rhyme was actually about the black plague that occurred in Europe in 1346. And this is how. The lyrics “Ring around the roses”, is referring to a symptom of the disease, where rings would appear on the body, and they would be rose red. Then there was the lyrics “Pocket full of posies”, which is one of the things people kept in their pockets during this time, so that people wouldn’t get the disease. Then there is “Ashes, ashes”, which is when peoples bodies were cremated so the disease wouldn’t spread. And lastly, “We all fall down”, which is mentioning the countless number of people who died during this time. And let me remind you, this was the song you heard kids sing while they were at the playground
#1: Little Red Riding Hood Original Story - Now, we all know the story of Little Red Riding Hood. Little Red is going to visit her grandmother, when the wolf tricks her into getting flowers. While she does this, the wolf goes to her grandmothers house and eats her, then dresses up as her, and later eats Little Red. That is, until the Lumberjack comes in while the wolf is sleeping, cuts him open, saves Little Red and her grandmother and places stones in his stomach to kill him. However, that was the remade story. Yeah, there was an original story. And then there was an original story of the original. Story-Ception, anyone? Anyway, the original story ended with them all actually eating the dead body of the wolf. That’s kinda odd. But, trust me, it was even worse in the original. How so? Well, instead of the wolf just eating the grandmother, he actually begins to mutilate and dissect her. And if that wasn’t bad enough, he actually makes Little Red eat pieces of her. JESUS CHRIST! I mean, seriously, what the fuck. This sounds like something you’d hear in the world of those movies that get banned in multiple countries. This is just fucked up on so many levels. Not even some of the worst genocidal events in history made people eat the insides of their family members while they dissected them. The Grimms Brothers were real hardcorse with their stories back then
So, there you go. Did you like this list. Tell me what you thought if you want. With that, I will see you all next time.
