It wasn't easy narrowing it down to just 10 ladies, but I gave it my best shot!
10. Thumbelina
Don't let her pint size appearance fool you...she gets into more trouble than you could ever imagine! She's sweet and just adorable, plain and simple. I love her outfits, and I really love her long flowing hair. I feel bad for her thoughout most of the movie...all she wants is to find her sweet Fairy Prince, and life just keeps throwing curve balls her way. But eventually, she overcomes her obstacles, marries her handsome Prince, and viola! She becomes a fairy!
9. Odette
I just rewatched The Swan Princess a few weeks ago, and forgot how much I liked it. Odette is a lovely Princess. She's smart, brave, and witty. She flat out turns Prince Derek down because he just liked her for the way she looks. It showed me that she has more depth. Of course, she eventually makes it to her own "happily ever after", and ends up marrying Prince Derek anyways.
8. Wendy Darling
I have always loved the movie Peter Pan, and have always wanted to travel to Neverland. I also love the sassy little heroine, Wendy Angela Moira Darling. She's imaginative, brave and full of spunk. I love her blue nightgown and her bouncy curls, and that no matter what, she will always believe in Peter Pan.
7. Princess Jasmine
The lovely Princess of Agrabah has always been a favorite of mine. She's exotically beautiful, smart, brave, flirty, witty & full of sass. She stands up for what she believes in; she wants to marry for love, and nothing else. I love her style, clothes, and long silky hair.
6. Pocahontas
Pocahontas is the prettiest out of all the Princesses in my opinion. I love her outfit and her Mother's blue necklace. She's very spiritual, which I like. She's in tune with nature and everything around her, and has a lovely singing voice. She's not serious all the time. She actually has a very playful, adventurous side to her (such as diving off of a cliff!). But my favorite thing about her is her passion and love for John Smith. It's probably the most mature relationship out of all the Disney movies. She doesn't live happily ever after with John Smith, but that's what makes her realistic. Things in real life hardly ever end like a fairy tale.
5. Ariel
I adore this little mermaid. She's everything a Princess should be; outgoing, smart, brave, determined, adventurous, fun & beautiful on the inside and outside. I love everything about her from her radiant red hair and singing voice to her perkiness and her need to explore and discover new things.
4. Anastasia
This Russian beauty has always been a favorite of mine. Her personality reminds me a lot of Ariel (outgoing, smart, determined, fun, beautiful). She's on a jounrney of self discovery; desperate to find out about who she is and where she comes from. I love the constant bantering back and forth between her and Dimitri. They are so cute and funny together. She can be a real smart ass, which I really love!
3. Belle
I have loved Belle ever since I saw Beauty and the Beast for the first time back when it came out to theatres. I was about six years old, and felt a connection to her because we looked a little bit alike (same color hair and eyes...hey, I was 6...cut me some slack!). But over the years I still felt a connection to her...we have some things in common. We both like to read, both feel stuck in a small little town, we don't really fit in with anyone, and we both just want something more...what that may be. I love the relationship between her and the Beast. It really is the most beautiful love story ever told.
2. Cinderella
I know most of you are probably really shocked that she isn't my #1. She's my favorite Princess. I've loved her for as long as I can remember. This is my favorite Disney movie AND favorite movie from my childhood. Cinderella is so kind and polite. Like myself, she tends to avoid confrontation and just wants to please people. She's utterly beautiful and is the envy of her Step-family. No matter how much crap they put her through, she remains a sweet young lady.
1. Esmeralda
There's nothing about this gypsy I don't like. I wish I could be her. She's total kick ass. She's smart and extremly witty. And she sings one of my favorite songs "God Help the Outcasts". I think it's one of the best Disney songs actually. She isn't frightened or even grossed out by Quasimodo's appearance, which says a lot about her. My favorite scene is where she stands up for him at the festival of fools. I love her outfits, her hair, her eyes...everything!
