Why must they all be so lovable?
Why must they all be so lovable?

Oh my God...why can't my list ever stay the same! I swear, I feel like it's constantly changing...what am I saying; IT IS constantly changing. I can't help it! Each time I watch one of their movies, my opinion changes. Let me get one thing straight...I do not dislike ANY of them. There are some that I just LOVE, and others I just "like". So don't be offended if you find your favorite Princess low on my list. I like her...just the others a little more.

10. Tiana (#9 on my last list)
The Determined Princess
The Determined Princess

There's lots of things that I like about Tiana, and a few that I don't. The reason I don't like her as much as the others, is because she reminds me a lot of myself; when I watch a Princess movie it's to escape, and get my mind off of "me". When I watch her, I am constantly reminded of myself, and that pretty much defeats the purpose. We're both southern, both raised primarily by our Mothers, and work very very hard. Both of our Mothers want us to marry and settle down so they can have a grandbaby. It's not that I don't want that too, I just get tired of hearing it from her, lol. We both have dreams that don't involve "falling in love", and living "happily ever after". Tiana wanted to own a restaurant, and I want to be a writer and have my novel published. I do like her...I just like my Princesses to be dreamy, wistful and spontaneous.

9. Aurora (#10 on my last list)
The Graceful Princess
The Graceful Princess

Aurora has moved up one spot since my last list. The only reason she beat out Tiana is because she is hopeful, and loves to dream. She's not in her film for very long, but for the few precious moments we have with her, she is absolutely charming. She's sweet, polite, and has the most gorgeous blonde curls I have ever seen. I love the way she and Phillip meet, even though if that happened in real life, the guy would be considered a pervert and would end up in jail! I love how romantic they are with each other. My heart breaks for her when she finds out she is supposed to marry a Prince, when she has just met the boy of her dreams, but I feel so much better when he kisses her at the end, and she realizes her Prince IS the man of her dreams. It makes me burst with joy for her.

8. Mulan( #7 on my last list)
The Selfless Princess
The Selfless Princess

I seriously love her. I know I've said it a dozen tiems, and most of you reading have as well; there isn't a negative thing to really say about her. She's thoughtful, brave, protective and willing to die for her Father. Not many of us could do what she did. She's very smart, and a quick thinker. I don't like the way her movie ended...it would have been better in my opinion, if they would have ended after the touching scene where she and her Father reunite. But no, it ended it with Shang coming over unannounced and acting totally awkward, and chickens...yep, that's right. Chickens. Really, Disney? You end an EPIC movie that way?

7. Pocahontas (#8 on my last list)
The Eager Princess
The Eager Princess

I've loved her since I was a little girl. I used to be jealous of her, for being able to be outside all the time, climbing trees, swimming, spying on hot guys...well, maybe not that last one considering I was 10 when the movie came out. I always thought she was noble, and intelligent. Now that I'm grown however, I find her to be less so. After she meets John Smith, she gets a little boring, and suddenly acts clueless. For instance, she sits around and mopes because he is going to be killed by her Father. I guess she never realized she could stop it, until Meeko gives her the compass. I still love Poca though. "Just Around the Riverbend" is my #2 favorite song. I love to hear her sing. She has an amazing voice.

6. Rapunzel (#5 on my last list)
The Creative Princess
The Creative Princess

She is so adorable and cute. I love to watch her grow throughout her film. She starts off shy and scared. After meeting Flynn and beginning her journey, she realizes how outgoing she really is. She immediately fits in with the guys at the Snuggly Duckling, and she is a lot braver than she ever expected to be. This was the first Disney movie I can say I honestly enjoyed watching since Mulan.

5. Jasmine (#6 on my last list)
The Sheltered Princess
The Sheltered Princess

Jasmine is the Princess that I have always wanted to be like. She stands up for what she believes in, and ALWAYS speaks her mind. She doesn't mind confrontation, whereas I avoid it at all costs. She is lovely, funny and smart. The older I get, the more I am becoming like her. It's about time!

4. Snow White (#2 on my last list)
The Naive Princess
The Naive Princess

She's moved down a couple of spots, but my love and appreciation of her has not changed. Snow White is so sweet. I find it hard not to love her, and want to hug her. Even the animals can't stay away from her. Everything about her is endearing. I love how she always remains hopeful, no matter how crappy the situation is.

3. Ariel (#4 on my last list)
The Passionate Princess
The Passionate Princess

Ariel and Belle are a constant battle for me. I can never decide which one I like better. As of today, sorry Ariel fans, but Belle won this round (ppv will be THRILLED). The Little Mermaid was released when I was four years old. I was in the hospital when it came out on video. I know some of you know the story (I shared it in my 'Getting to Know You' article), but I had a series of seizures and was put into a coma. The day I woke up, one of the FIRST things out of my mouth, was that I wanted The Little Mermaid. Even though I had been "out of it" for seven days, I hadn't forgotten how badly I wanted that movie! I love Ariel. She's fun, adventurous, spoiled, a big dreamer, and passionate about learning new things. I adore her.

2. Belle (#3 on my last list)
The Genuine Princess
The Genuine Princess

Ok, ppv...start celebrating. Belle is now my second favorite Princess. My parents took me to the theatre to see Beauty and the Beast at least seven times. I was overwhelmed by the music, the characters, and the story. Everything about the movie drew me in, and made me want to see more and more. I just watched it last night and realized how much I love and respect Belle (ducks out of the way of whatever item Straggy is about to hurl my way). She remains true to herself always, and she doesn't put up with the Beasts temper. She learns to love him though, and he her. Their love is so sweet and dear to me. I cry everytime I watch the Beast "die", even though I know what happens. It gets to me everytime!

1. Cinderella (#1 on EVERY list I've ever made)
The Faithful Princess
The Faithful Princess

Shocking, I know. Who would have EVER though she would be #1 :) I don't think I need to explain why I love her. Anyone that knows me, knows why. She makes me light up inside. I feel like a little girl anytime I see her or hear her angelic voice. I've always looked up to her; heck, I wanted to BE her when I grew up, lol. Even when I see her at Disney World I get all excited like the kids do, even though I know she isn't real, lol. She holds a very very special place in my heart, and always will.

Chapter seven

When Ariel and Andrina came home, the family tuned up their ears on Ariel's story. Ariel glowed as she told them her tale. She made sure to skip a few events that mentioned anything happening between her and Eric such as how warm and soft his hand felt when they shook hands. When she came to the part about the job offer, her sisters felt happy for her,but her father raised an eyebrow, and Flounder frowned.

"Wow! That's great, Ariel!" said Arista. The other sisters nodded in agreement.

"Thanks," Ariel smiled. Nobody noticed Flounder looking down at the ground with his arms crossed....

WARNING: This chapter has some unpleasant scary elements.

Chapter 5

Like Eric, everybody else went to sleep. However, there is one person that did not go to bed.

"AAAAAAAARRRRRRGH! I can't believe this!" A deep female voice screeched. Ursula came home late at midnight, stomping inside her house.

"What is, Ursula?" A young whispery male voice asked. His name is Flotsam. He was a lanky man around 29 with dark blonde hair, and dressed up in all green. Another guy, standing next to him, is his brother, Jetsam, who is also tall and lanky and dressed up in green clothing, only with dark brown hair.

"My...

Call me Anne. I wouldn't say my age because you would be embarrassed but think older then Elsa. I loved the 90s princess (Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, and Mulan) since I identify with them a lot. When I was in elementary&High school I did get bullied but that's a long time ago now. I love some of the articles I have read here on this site specifically the ones arguing about Cinderella not waiting around for a Prince to save her. Did you know that it took from the 1800s to the 1912 before Snow White's and Cinderella's respective stories overlapped? And in the 1913 some guy who had the last name Powers who would later help Disney with Steamboat Willie made his own film version of Snow White and borrowed the True Love Kiss from either Grimms' Briar Rose or Perrault's Beauty in the Woods.
