Well, I read other favorite princess articles and thought I should make my own. This is my first article. Feel free to express your opinions, but please don't leave mean, nasty comments.

10. Aurora

I don't hate her, and I don't necessarily dislike her personality. But Aurora barely does anything. She basically sang, danced, and cried. Her personality just wasn't that strong. The three fairies were more enjoyable. So Aurora did nothing to impress me in her whole 18 minutes.

9. Snow White

I found her to be a little more interesting than Aurora. Snow White seemed to have been focused on more than Aurora was focused on, and she at least tried to stand up to Grumpy. But there are other princesses who have stronger character than Snow White. I also wasn't able to relate to her even though we're close in age. It's good that she's optimistic, but she was too naive.

8. Rapunzel

She doesn't really bring anything new to the Disney Princesses. I guess Rapunzel has her own personality, but some parts of her character have been used by previous princesses, which isn't that refreshing. She was annoying in some parts of the film like when she befriended the Pub Thugs. They liked her too quickly and just started singing right then. What the hell? This doesn't make Rapunzel seem likeable to me, and it felt forced. The only person who didn't immediately like her was Flynn, and he's my favorite character in that film.

7. Pocahontas

I liked her personality at the beginning, but when she fell in love she became so boring and so non-emotional. She basically became serious like Kocoum. That is something that should never happen in Disney movies when someone falls in love. All that stuff about nature was getting on my nerves as well.

6. Cinderella

In terms of personality, Cindy is kind of generic, and I find that a tad boring. At the same time, though, she has a certain flare that similar characters don't have. I like that she didn't do anything stupid in her movie. I think Cinderella was too passive at times when she should have stood up for herself.

5. Ariel

What I like about her is that she acts like a teenager. She is really spirited and stubborn. I really like Ariel's wavy red hair, and that somehow adds onto the free-spirited teenager look. Some of her decisions did irritate me, though, but I do feel sorry for her.

4. Belle

She is a bookworm who is thought of as 'odd'. Frankly, I don't relate to her for being odd, but I like how that makes her unique. We both like to read books, too. She doesn't take shit from Gaston or the Beast, which is pretty admirable. But she made the stupid decision of going to the West Wing when she knew it was forbidden and that the Beast would be pissed when he found her.

3. Tiana

She is hardworking, independent, and motivated. She sticks with reality, and she knows she can't just wish on a star to reach her goals. People say she worked too much and needed to have some fun. I partly agree with that, but Tiana was so close to getting her restaurant. She could have fun when she'd be all settled down. Another trait I like about Tiana is her sense of humor. She's the only princess we hear joking. Unlike Rapunzel, Tiana was refreshing, and she did bring something new to the Disney Princesses.

2. Mulan

She is hardworking just like Tiana. Her determination is what got the other guys in the army to work together. And Mulan is one of the smartest princesses. I mean, she saved China! While Chinese girls of that time were supposed to be graceful, silent, and demure, Mulan was clumsy, outspoken, and independent. It was pretty funny how Mulan tried to imitate a guy's behavior.

And my favorite princess is...

1. Jasmine

What makes her my favorite Disney Princess is her assertiveness. She doesn't fall for any stuck-up prince. If she married, she'd want it to be for love. Some people say she's bossy, but with the people she deals with every day, she has to yell to get her opinion across. I think Jasmine's a good actress as well, such as when she pretended to be Aladdin's crazy sister. Furthermore, she's pretty gutsy to kiss Jafar even if it was for a distraction.

Once again, this is my first article. It's not the best, I know. I hope everyone enjoyed reading it, though. My opinion of my favorite princesses might change in the future.

Aurora walked around a bit and with a glance of glee, she found the other six princesses sleeping under the tree. “Hello!” Aurora greeted.
“Mmm...mmm…” Snow White replied sleepily, she was not totally awake yet.
“Apparently they don’t hear us,” John Smith told Aurora. “Let me try.”
John Smith walked toward Pocahontas and with a gentle voice, he whispered, “Pocahontas, I am back.”
Pocahontas abruptly woke up, waking up the other six princesses. After she...

So sorry this took SO long!!

Female characters today are a far cry from the demure, lady-like heroines of the Classic Age of Disney. They are allowed to wield weapons, they are allowed to lead rebellions, they are allowed to be the brains of the operation. But on the other hand, have we really shed the need to fit every character into a preconceived ideal? Really, I’d say the female characters of today are every bit as idealized as those of the pre-Civil Rights era, simply reflecting our ideals of our modern society, juggling a career, relationship (or entirely rejecting one,)...

An argument that I often hear against Aurora is that she doesn't have many flaws or that they aren't shown very prominently. I've been thinking about it for a while, and decided to compile this list together of Aurora's flaws. I hope you all enjoy, and as you know this is in no way to bash Aurora, she's my favorite, it's to show that she's more dimensional and flawed than some think.

Aurora Is A Pessimist

The first flaw of Aurora is her pessimism. Think about it, when getting the news that she was a princess, instead of jumping for joy like an optimist would do, she cries about it. Instead...

[i]- The movies are definitely better than the ones from that Chicken-Little era. And they are making money in the theaters after a long period of box-office failure, just like with the Renaissance.

- I guess so. Revival is a good term for it I think.

- I personally believe it started after Bolt because every film that just came out has been amazing. They all have the Disney Feeling or the Walt Disney Feel to it. The Princess and the Frog was amazing but lame reasons didn't make a lot of money. Tangled really pulled it through and was also great. Wreak it Ralph and Frozen were also great. But...
