Amanda Seyfried, Mila Kunis, and Gemma Arterton have played or are going to play leading ladies of well known storybook characters on the big screen. The problem I have is not with the actresses personally but the ever pattern in beauty.

We had Snow White and the Huntsman, Once Upon a Time series, Mirror Mirror, Red Riding Hood. 2013, we’re going to get Jack the Giant Slayer, Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters, Oz: The Great & Powerful, and Disney will be making an adaption of The Snow Queen sometime soon. There probably are going to be more fairy tale adaptations in 2014. The movies are starting to look better with writing and action (seriously last year’s fairy tale adaptations sucked) but in the future I would like to see directors actually cast a plus size woman as the lead role of the princess or maiden.

I think there should be plus size princesses. Maybe from Disney maybe from other companies that are starting to make more and more fairy tale adaptations. The point is I think with all these adaptations coming out this year these companies should start using plus size actresses as the main leads or draw plus size princess characters.

Yeah I know I’m going to get crap for saying this but I think companies should start doing this with their adaptations. I mean, everyone want to make a different and twisted version of these stories so why not be as different from everyone else to cast a thick chick as Little Mermaid? Other directors haven't been doing that yet.

I've seen two horror films on Red Riding Hood before. Red Riding Hood (2011) and Company of Wolves (1984). I've seen many horror dark twist to Snow White. Snow White and the Huntsman, & Snow White a Tale of Terror. But I never seen them portrayed by thick women.

And besides what fairy tale actually SAID—I mean what TEXT says—that the princess was thin or had a small waist? None do because all of those fairy tale’s beauty ideals are very vague so the reader can just imagine their own image of beauty. It makes it relatable to all kinds of people. Also the appearance doesn't really matter. All we need to know that the princess is considered beautiful. That is why these fairy tales have been passed down to so many different generations.

Also since directors already change things in adaptations like turning innocent Red Riding Hood into a hot blonde twenty year old I don’t think making a curvy princess would take out of the story. And well being historically accurate doesn’t apply when these fairy tales are vague and aren’t based on any historic people or events.

The standers of beauty can’t be just this one thing. I would like Hollywood to grow and be more diverse in what its images of beauty are. I want Disney in the future to have female characters that are thicker and are looked as beautiful. Little girls need to see that. Heck, grown women need to see that!

Why can’t Christina Aguilera at the weight she is now be cast as a princess Odette in the next Swan Lake movie? Sara Ramirez is beautiful, why can't she play the 2014 version of Rapunzel? Hayley Hasselhoff is freaking adorable looking. Seriously she is a cutie pie; I would like to see her play Cinderella or the girl from Rumpelstiltskin. Why can’t Jenna Ushkowitz be casted as Sleeping Beauty or Princess Badroulbadour in Aladdin? Jay Park could play a singing Aladdin. She has the singing voice of a fairy tale princess. She would be perfect for a musical fairy tale adaption. Why can’t American Ferrea play the lead in Snow White & Rose Red? Why can’t Joanne Borgella play the main lead in the Grimm’s tale Brother and Sister?

I’m not saying Hollywood should just stop casting skinny girls as the pretty girl roles all together. No. I just think the body images on screen should widen out some. One movie skinny actress, the next should have a thicker actress. There are a few beautiful plus size actresses that could play these fairy tale divas in a new modern twist. Seriously, Hollywood needs to become more diverse of what beauty is and what it can be. It can’t be just one image. Everyone should be able to feel beautiful, sexy, and desirable.

Also (not that this has anything to do with the topic but) I have to give it up to Tommy Wirkola for actually seeming to put some thought and care into his movie. Yeah, the idea of Hansel and Gretel with guns hunting witches and looking like a video game Sucker Punch movie is very wacky and weird but at least it's creative & unique. Wirkola is making his adaption his own and that's what directors should do with these fairy tale adaptions. WE all know the story of Hansel and Gretel so the fact that his takes place after the events of the story we know seems to be a smart move because now the audience doesn't know what to expect and they won't be told the same story over and over again with but with different sets.

Princess Anna and Queen Elsa were planning on going to the beach tomorrow. Elsa was helping her helpers clean the kingdom while Anna got swimsuits. Anna called Elsa.

Anna said "Hi Elsa. I'm at the new clothes store."

Elsa said "Hi Anna. Have you found any good swim suits yet?"

Anna looked around and said "I think so. Swimsuits sure are immodest." Anna grabbed 2 outfits and said "Don't worry. I found 2 great swimsuits."

Elsa said "Do you think that the swimsuits are great or are they a great price?"

Anna said "They are 60% off. Don't worry. They are cute...

Elle Fanning
Elle Fanning
Hi guys, since Emma Watson did hers, now I'm going to write down my 3 favourite outfits during the world premiere of Maleficent, Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast.

Elle Fanning's Maleficent Premiere Dress

I just love this dress and the hairstyle, because I think it really suits Elle very much. It's more feminine and very modern, in fact it looks like a modernised version of Cinderella's dress!

Lily James' Cinderella Premiere Dresses

When I first saw this dress during the World Premiere, I was really amazed that it slightly resembles to Elle Fanning's dress. Including the hairstyle too, but...

Alice Kingsleigh is the star of the 2010 film Alice in Wonderland and the 2016 film Alice Through the Looking Glass. She is played by Mia Wasikowska. She's a young adult. Her dad died, but her mom and sister are alive. Her best friend is Tarrant Hightopp.

Alice may seem like a eccentric person to add to the Disney Princess group, but pretty much everything about Alice in Wonderland is weird.

The Disney Princess group needs Alice, because she's Disney's best female character. That's a fact, not a opinion. I'm joking. Well kind of.

Alice is a inspiring hero. She was basically forced to have a...

Hi guys, since the popularity of Disney's Frozen and The Little Mermaid. Here are some ideas on what Disney should do next, may it be Princess or non-Princess films.

1. The Wild Swans

It's about a princess name Elisa who has 11 brothers, unfortunately their wicked stepmother turns them into swans and she banished Elisa. Her brothers help her by taking her far away! It has a happy ending and I hope that Disney will make it soon.

2. Thumbelina

We all know that Don Bluth had made this starring Jodi Benson as the voice of Thumbelina in 1994. I think Disney should give it a hand in making this story,...

dedicated, strong, selfless, hard working, kind, independent, resourceful, loyal, ambitious, optimistic

wavesurf:
The only thing I like about her is her hard work ethic. That's it.

sweetie-94:
I love her determination to open up her own restaurant, she'll open it up no matter what which leads me to something else that I love about her (well I sort of like it), the fact that she works so hard for it, now I don't really...
