Formal dress for this countdown are Princess dresses or honourable engagement dresses in Mulan's case that are worn for celebrations, royal visits, formal evening meals and simply as fancy attire to wear in the castle during the day

Ball Gowns, Everday oufits, Work outfits, Costumes, Home-made Gowns and Wedding Dresses haven't been included.

However if you would like to read about my favourite ball gowns please go to this link: link

10) Cinderella's Return to the Palace Dress

This one is dull. Although it seems softly pretty when she's in the carriage. Outside the carriage it looks horrible.

9) Cinderella's Opening Fair Dress

This dress was yellow. It has an over-skirt with a frilled opening along the edges and a sash the colour as her hair around her waist. I liked that they had tried to make the dress look different. It's nice but not not fantastic.

8) Ariel's Evening Dress

I don't absoIutely hate this. I secretly like it. But the shade of pink they chose isn't great. She looks more lovely in cool sea-like colours. Which is why I'm very happy about her new dress colour for marketing. I don't really have a problem with them giving a crossover tribute to the previous three princesses in the design of the dresses. I'm just naturally not a fan of 80's shoulder pads. I'm also not a fan of meringue skirts unless someone is wearing one for their wedding day or the person wearing the skirt is historically from a time period where they wore those kind of skirts with the corsets and glided cages on a daily basis like the Victorians / Tudors / Georgians, etc.

7) Mulan's Purple Engagement Dress

I think it's pretty. Black hair and purple go together. It's a brief little scene so we don't get a good look at it. It's not memorable though. So that's why it's lower. Shame really.

6) Jasmine's Evening Meal Outfit

I think this outfit was inspired by her Engagement outfit. Because it is the same believe it or not. Just take off the long skirt, the shawl and change the purple; and then you've got the evening outfit they used in The Return of Jafar. My favourite colour is purple so I think purple suits her skintone. I like this outfit but the animation quality is terrible and yes it affects the outfit. I mean I try to look past this but sometimes it's not always that easy. I mean her face is messed up in this sequel. That's what is so off-putting. But the outfit is nice so that's really what counts.

5) Tiana's Green Ending Dress

Tiana wears this in her new restaurant serving her guests and she's seen on the roof dancing with Naveen. I somehow got it into my head that she was wearing a backless pale green dress that sparkled with plain pale green long gloves and shiny gold high heeled shoes with a white-gold diamond orb on top of a gold bow in the middle. But I guess I just dreamed that up because her dress isn't like that at all. I'd like the dress more if she had gone Downton Abbey style. Like this: link but in green. But that said, I do think she looks smart in the dress she's wearing.

4) Aurora's Pink Dress

I know this is the exact same design as her birthday dress that I used in the ball gown countdown but unlike that one, this one doesn't dance around a ballroom and magically change colour. Therefore it deserves to be acknowledged as a formal gown and official princess gown for this special countdown. The dress is pink which makes her stand out from the other princesses in marketing. In Enchanted Tales: Keys to the Kingdom it's not the perfect quality but it's still very pretty and it brings out her sweet romantic side. It would've looked better I think if her hair had stayed lighter. For me, Aurora and Phillip represent Valentine's Day. And it's partly because of the ever so romantic looking pink dress.

3) Jasmine's Royal Announcement Dress

The purple dress is lavender with white accents by sunlight and lilac-purple with pink accents by night or Jafar's storm twilight, whatever you wanna call it. It's a purple dress with long sleeves and a silk skirt around the waist held together by a sapphire gemstone. It's the only real dress she wears in the first movie. It's pretty.

2) Rapunzel's Pink Dress

This was worn in the Village Square with her parents present in their royal garb. Thus she's wearing her princess dress. To be honest I haven't took any notice of this dress until now. I didn't realise it was patterned and she had purple layer underneath the dress. I love it! But the reason why it's lower is because after this countdown I will forget what it looks like. To be number one on my countdown, the dress or outfit has to be memorable.

1) Jasmine's Engagement outfit

This beauty is purple with passion in the night and fancier than all of her other outfits minus her wedding dress. It's a bedlah in a dark purple shade (which has a blue-purple tint under the night's sky) with a long veiled skirt around her waist, long sleeves, and a see-through matching shawl around her shoulders. I have the doll, so I think that hints to how much I love it!

I'm sure we all know how old most of the Disney Princesses are since we get to know it from their movies, but some of them has a different age in their original and some aren't even mentioned, but this is mainly what other have said, but it's also my guessings on some of them. Anyways enjoy!

Snow White:
There has been many discussions on how old she is in the Disney movie since it's never mentioned, but if you didn't knew it already she's 14 in the Disney version. In the original fairytale she's only 7 years old as most of us know, but did you knew that in most of the newer versions of the classic...
