Hey guys! So I’ve been here since the beginning of summer, and I figured it was time to make one of these since I’ve seen so many of my new friends make them, too! I haven’t really opened up to anyone about who I am and what I like, so I thought this would be a good place to start! :)

My name is Brooke and I’m 18 years old. I live in southern Delaware with my parents, my two older sisters, and my younger brother. However, I’m going to be moving to college in a couple days, so that’s going to change soon!

I originally came to fanpop when I was researching Disney history for a fun project I had in high school. The first article I looked at was on here, and when I looked at the comments section of the article I was so impressed with how well everyone was interacting -sharing and swapping ideas about different subjects related to a club- that I just had to become a part of the discussion :) Ever since then, I’ve been a regular fanpopper, though I haven’t been as active as I want to be due to my hectic school and work schedule.

My “favorite” Disney princess has changed from year to year. Some years, I liked Snow White the best, others Jasmine, and so on. But out of all the princesses, Ariel has remained my favorite for the longest time. When I was little, “The Little Mermaid” was my favorite Disney movie and I have always been enamored by Ariel’s beautiful singing voice. I remember when I was five I went through a phase where I wanted everything I own to have Ariel on it, and for the longest time, most of my clothes and toys were Little-Mermaid-themed. I think Ariel is uniquely beautiful- being the first Disney princess to have red hair and the only mermaid princess- and I love her personality. Like me, she’s very curious about the world around her and is a dreamer. Her stubbornness can get her into trouble sometimes (as mine does, too from time to time) and despite her naivety, she has really deep thoughts and emotions. I love that she’s more than just a pretty face.

I really don’t have a “least favorite” Disney princess. I think that each princess has unique admirable qualities. However, the princess that I’m the least crazy about is Merida. I feel like Merida doesn’t have the traditional princess qualities that most of the classic princesses have (gentleness, grace, compassion, etc.) and for that reason, I don’t think she fits in well in the Disney Princess lineup. Don’t get me wrong, I love that Disney designed her to look and act more like a typical teenage girl as compared to the other princesses, but I’m just not as fond of her as other people are.

As far as Princes go, my favorite is probably Aladdin. Yes, I know, he's the underdog who isn’t really a prince, but I have a reason to like him as much as I do. Aladdin is one of the only princes who fell in love with his princess for more than her looks. When he tells Genie about her, he describes by her character traits along with her looks, and I admire the fact that he saw her inner beauty and not just her outer beauty. He’s down-to-earth, caring, and overall a nice guy. Not to mention, he’s quite attractive and has a nice bod so in my eyes, he’s the complete package of what a guy should be. The only flaw he has is that he’s not always honest with people –he lied to Jasmine for almost the entire movie- and I personally do not have much tolerance for dishonesty.

My least favorite prince is, by far, Naveen. I will admit, he IS cute, but his looks are only skin-deep. He’s selfish, vain, conceited, and full of himself. There’s nothing that can deter me more than if a guy acts like he’s cooler than he actually is. Yes, he DOES gain a little bit of humility toward the end of “The Princess and the Frog” but even so, it isn’t enough for my liking.

My hobbies: When I’m not fanpopping, I like to play the guitar and the piano (I’ve been a budding musician for most of my life), compose my own music, cook/bake, play tennis (my favorite sport), go shopping, and hang out with my friends :)

My favorite books: I haven’t read any leisure books lately because I haven’t had much time for it, but some of my favorite books I’ve read in the past are The Great Gatsby and Pride & Prejudice. I probably sound boring but I don’t care- I’m a sucker for the classics!

My favorite movies: Out of all the Disney movies, my ultimate favorite is The Lion King. In my opinion, that’s the best Disney movie ever made. It’s so deep, the animation is incredible, and the music in it is absolutely PHENOMINAL. For princess movies, my favorite is obviously The Little Mermaid, since Ariel is my favorite princess. As far as “non-Disney” movies, my favorite movie is She’s the Man. I know Amanda Bynes has gone down a broken path lately, but I think she’s HILARIOUS in that movie! I also like “10 things I Hate About You” and “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.” In short, I like any and all chick flicks :)

So that pretty much all you should know about me! I hope I didn’t make this too long or anger any of you with my blunt opinions. Regardless, of what you may have thought of this article, I want to thank you all for taking the time to read my post- I can’t wait to get to know even more of you and make more new friends on fanpop! :) 
My favorite Disney Princess. The one and only Ariel! :)

She's gentle, kind, and clumsy and is brave enough to stand up to Clayton even when he has a gun -BB2010

I love how awkward yet interesting she is; I admire her bravery and empathy, and I like how she has a talent for drawing and curiosity for the jungle life. I love her relationship with Tarzan, one of my favorite Disney couples; her design is really pretty as well -WhiteLagoon13

Everything! She is smart, she is dedicated to her work, but I also love that her "damsel" moments are the result of her being in an unfamiliar situation, and that she learns to adjust to her new environment by the end of the movie. -Swanpride

1. Congrats on being Fan of the Month! How does it feel?
Thank you!! I am very honored and I feel very excited because this is the first time I'm Fan of the Month.

2. How did you find this spot and what made you stay?
I'm a big fan of anime, I remember watching “Fushigi Yuugi” at that time. I was obsessed with Tasuki. I still like him (but I don't get obsessed anymore, LOL). Anyway, I was looking for pictures and screenshots of him. That's how I found Fanpop. My reasons for staying? Because I like to participate in activities (polls, quizzes, answers), I made good friends, I love sharing...

Okay, as promised! Here is the comparison both the 1998 animated feature as well as the 2020 live action reboot. Ready?

The Story

So we start of with the Invasion of the Huns in the animated film, as well as reporting the invasion to the Emperor. We see Mulan getting ready for the Matchmaker later on.
In the live action version, we see Mulan's childhood and even has a sister who is specially created for the film mainly for character developments. (tied)

The Characters

We get to see Mushu in the animated version, this is due to comic relief for the entire movie. He, Cri-Kee and Little Brother...

What I love the most about Mulan is she's someone who was trained for battle but instead of depending on weapons to win the war, she uses strategy. It shows that you don't always have to rely on brute strength or weapons to win, you can use your own brain. It really bums me out that people forget that about Mulan and just remember her for learning how to fight. -BB2010

I love her bravery, perseverance and how she's willing to disguise as a man and go off to war to save her father. -LMH5113

I love Mulan's love for her family. She loved her family so much that she would risk her own life to save...

On the Ninth Day of Princess Walt Disney gave to me

Nine Ships are sailing

eight mice a-sewing
seven dwarves dancing
six sisters singing
five cursed friend

four braiding girls
three fairy spells
two lucky pals
and the wisdom of an old tree.

If you ever want to establish a new international holiday, do it in September. I am serious, there are surprisingly few actual holidays in this month - but a lot of really weird ones. I was kind of tempted to mark "Talk like a Pirate Day" in the calendar for that reason alone, but soon I had two hot contenders. One was Heritage Day which would have most likely...

Five cursed friends,

In case you haven't noticed yet, when I put this calendar together, my goal was to make it as international as possible..meaning, it wasn't supposed to feature the holidays of a specific country, it was supposed to feature holidays which are as widely as possible celebrated, or at least well-known. I also tried to find holidays which could be in some way be related to a princess. Hence I picked Rapunzel for May.

As you can see, I...

It's typical of sequels to come out about 2 or 3 years after the first film. Sometimes, sequels come out the year after the first one. However, Frozen 2 has come out 6 years after the first film. That's something it has in common with Alice Through the Looking Glass, which came out 6 years after the first film. Of course, the big the question is if the wait was worth it. In this review, I will discuss how the two films compare to each other, as well as give my feelings on the premise and cast of characters.

Frozen 2 brings back the cast of the first film (excluding Prince Hans and the Duke...

Hi everyone, I got my laptop back and I had just watched Frozen II with Prasert. According to him, he said that it's even better than the first one, but he was disappointed that there were no bad guys in it! Anyway, here is my review on the film. Enjoy!

The Story

Okay, so we get to see more of Elsa's and Anna's parents and the origins of Elsa's ice power. In fact, when King Agnarr was young during the flashback. Prasert pointed out that he looks like Hiccup from How to Train Your Dragon! I could not believe it.
The story is more dark in a contrast to the first one, because we get the Maleficent...

Hi guys, it's been ages since I had written my last article that I decided to write another comparison article. This time it is both Anastasia and Cinderella, ready?

Anastasia

So, we all know about what happened to Anastasia. Upon watching this for the first time in many years, it was like Anastasia became Cinderella because she was like the lost princess that her beloved grandma is looking for, hence the ballet by Sergei Prokofiev was shown during the scene when they were in Paris, France.
The music box plays a role in the movie, it is very similar with the glass slipper in Cinderella. Both...

Something I've often said in the past is one of the scariest type of villain is one that could exist in real life like Frollo, Bellweather, Lady Tremaine, and Mother Gothel. Gaston is definitely a villain that deserves to be on this list.

Some people will say he's too silly to be a scary villain or just isn't scary enough until the climax of the movie. But some people who have had to deal with their own Gastons in life will say differently.

First off, it's made pretty clear from the beginning that Gaston is a bully who has most likely never been told "no" and therefore can never take it for...
