My opinion on things I'm passionate about

Well let's get to it, also note: it took me 8hours 9minutes and 43 seconds to get all of this straight. First are my list followed by random opinions of mine. This is very long and I'm pretty sure none of you will read the entire thing. Also some of these are re-post of my other articles.



Disney movie list: top 15

Note: I hate Peterpan and The Little Mermaid with a burning passion as well as Frozen. I know I'm a horrible person but I just can't stand these movies. Brave was actually descent so I'm neutral about it ...

13. Ariel (the spoiled, selfish brat, I know I'm going to get hate for saying that but I really can't stand her)
12.Anna (oh, isn't she just perky, clumsy and reckless ...highly annoying she doesn't even learn much, nor do I think she is intelligent in the least bit, sorry Anna fans)
11. Aurora (tbh I like her movie way better than her ...she is so dull to me)

Favorite Disney Characters: top 10
1.Charlotte Labouff a.k.a Lottie -she may be spoiled rotten, but she isn't selfish, she may be inconsiderate at times, but she is a good friend to Tiana and reminds me a lot of myself, always wishing to be a princess though I already was one, she so fun and bubbly to like Rapunzel.
2.Jane -again I just love her she is so proper, she can't handle the jungle life but stays anyway for someone primitive that she loves, she also draws, she is polite, she messes up a lot though but tries her best. I don't think this type of character will ever go out of style

3.Cinderella -she is so optimistic even in the worst situations, and just as sweet as she can be. She is like snowWhite in some ways but more passive, I like that about her. She is subtle, delicate, and graceful. She makes no attempt to break the rules or be funny, and I just love her to pieces.

4.Jaq -he is Cinderella's mouse friend, and I find him so amazing to go out of his way to help cinderella he deserves this spot so much, he also never gets himself or Cinderella into any trouble he is a brave little thing and reminds me a bit of pascal from tangled.

5.Frollo -he is complexed and confused, and has a dark sinister mind set but he is also supposed to be so holy, I love him, and he proves not everyone in the church is holy or in their right mind, even if at first they had the intentions of being good sometimes it can spiral out of control and turn you into a monster.

6.Quazimotto -he is so nice, I hate how the people treated him just for being a hunch back, I can also relate to him. The sad part is that he doesn't even get the girl he loves instead the stupid hunk gets the girl, don't worry Quazi I'll love you! Oh my gosh I just want to hug his face off he is quite adorable for a hunch back too ^_^

7.Tarzan -he is an ape man but he is certainly not stupid, he learns the way of the jungle and ends up being at the top of the food chain. He is ignorant not dumb at all. I like that he is curious and tries to learn all he can.

8.Pocahontas -as a character I love her she is just like Tarzan, and tries to make things right as much she can ERMAGAWD I love environmentalist.

9.Mulan -she is like my role model, I'm jealous of her because she completes her mission but I can't do it as well as her. I love her though she is the best female warrior type by far!

10.Merida -I had to squeeze her in because she is just so fabulous. Another BAD ASS, but not as bad as Ariel she learns from her mistakes and I find her to be a great role model for young girls to fight for what you want, but acknowledge your faults. Comprise and realize you were wrong (which Merida does learn)

Note:MaryWeather is the worst character for me seeing as how see makes Aurora's situation more complex and difficult than better. Same with all the 3 fairies they are stupid. I also dislike PeterPan he doesn't even care when Wendy is in danger nor does he care about Wendy. Not to mention the fact that PeterPan has like a Million girlfriends, Tiger Lilly, the mermaids, TinkerBell and Wendy. Peter also teaches the lost boys to be quite stupid. I liked him much better in the second movie though and I liked Jane.

2.SnowWhite -It gets you all perky and smiley inside
3.Pocahontas -it's really good if you ask me
4. Aladdin -very catchy I would say not timeless or amazing just catchy but a very nice catchy
5.Brave -I like it, not much to say but I like the music in it
6.The little Mermaid -just because I don't like it doesn't mean it does not have great, catchy music that's probably why kids like it so much.
7.The Hunch back of Notre Dame -besides that one song with the gargoyles I loved it
8.Tangled -it won an award so of coarse it's going to be on my list :)
9.Tarzan -not my absolute favorite but I like the songs
10.Dumbo -just Perfect (despite the sort of controversial crows in there) I love the songs it's just perfect

Prettiest DP list: Top 13

1.Cinderella -Gorgeous
2.SnowWhite -she is just a pretty little doll like thing So cute
3.Tiana -BEAUTIFUL!!!
4.Belle- like her name means beauty her looks have got no parallel
5.Mulan -Fantabulous
6.Aurora -she al right not as pretty as people say she is but pretty
7.Merida -that natural beauty, her features are quite kid like but that's how she is, and that hair is Amazing :)
8.Pocahontas -just wow
9.Rapunzel -she is ok but those eyes are huge
10.Jasmine -her looks are a bit stereotypical but I still think she pretty
11.Elsa -Them BIG EYES THOUGH, and the round face disney needs to stop doing that.
12.Anna -Same as Elsa and whats up with the tiny mouths
13.Ariel -sorry Ariel, but you aren't that pretty (I know I'm terrible but I don't find Ariel the least bit pretty.)

Most Attractive disney princes: top 10

10.Kristoff -no, just no he is too much of a fixer upper
9.Shang -them eyebrows, but he still got pecs
8.John Smith -he is ok but he ain't all that
7.Prince -snowWhite's prince is more cute than hot.
6.Prince Charming -yah, Cinderella got an ok prince I guess
7.Adam/Beast -I never found him all that attractive ...I'm sorry
6.Phillip -yes! He a hot piece of booty...let me stop

4.Flynn Rider/ Eugene Fitzherbert -you could say he is a thief of my heart ...or he stole my (not finishing that sentence way too inappropriate)

2. Eric -I can see why Ariel acted so stupid to get him.
1.Hans -SPOILER!!! SPOILER!! SPOILER!!! I don't care if he is the villain he is HAWT, in all the right ways ...just perfect.

Ok now I'm all done with list.

Animation preference:

CGI will never replace nor I better than 2D. And the 'hybrid' 2D and CGI doesn't count by that logic Frozen was 2D I mean it was on a flat screen. NO, 2D is HAND DRAWN, even if on a computer, it uses a stylist, so a HUMAN HAND is drawing it. No one can draw with a mouse. So yes, 2D must be hand drawn. All CGI is, is a person clicking a mouse so that digital enhance line fragments will bend and curve giving it the illusion of 3D space. Hand drawn is a person hand who is so talented enough to create a character, hand drawn is letting ink sink on to paper projecting it, creating it into a film strip, developed and then on to a digital file. So no Paperman is NOT 2D. I think disney should not be so foolish as to let CGI take over their company. A company that was started by good old hand drawn animation, that took time, energy and talent to create. I hate that some people will call the 'mouse clicking' CGI better than the 2D when it is no where near that amazing. I don't know about you but I don't know how to draw well, but I sure can click a mouse around and comprehend how to work a CGI system. It takes talent to get 2D so perfect a wonderful, which is why I love it. 2D is timeless but I know for sure the CGI won't last very long. In the next 5-10 years Tangled's , Brave's and Frozen's CGI will be out of date and old. Do you remember that movie 'The wild' made by disney? Of coarse you don't but at the time people thought it had state of the art animation but now no one gives a fart about it. My friends thought 'The wild' was the best movie ever, but it's not anymore. Google the movie and that is how Frozen is going to look in the next 10 years. I prefer 2D and I know I'm preferring a more 'timeless' everlasting kind of animation. So I'm just going to sit back and wait for the time you have kids and they call Frozen (what you thought to be beautifully animated) cheap, crappy and old. People will stop using technology and trade up to better computers, but you can't trade up to better paper. No matter what people draw. The only way to truly draw and show your talent is with pencil and paper. It's just my old fashioned opinion but I find it to be correct.

What I think of the DP line in general:

It makes me sad to see people look at the DPs and say MULAN isn't a princess... because frankly why should being a princess matter...same with Merida "she doesn't even have a prince." Why does she need a prince? Especially when I hear "she can't be a princess she is ugly." Why should it matter what she looks like? Don't anyone dare call me an extreme feminist because I'm not even a regular feminist. Also when people say "Mulan and Merida act like boys." Why must you assign gender roles for them to play. I just hate it when a bratty little kid says that ...and by bratty little kids I mean 13-35 year old men/women here on fanpop. In fact I can only hope Disney adds more regular heroines to the list. tbh disney annoys me a lot but nothing can be perfect. Why can't we all just love all characters regardless. Disney made his movies for entertainment not to cause arguments. I swear sometimes we take the movie to seriously, you can hate a character but don't hate them for stupid reasons..."an argument with out facts, is an argument lost in the face of truth." I'm just so done with taking DPs seriously they are CARTOONS if you take them to seriously it will turn into a 'politically correct' crisis I get it talk about DP problems what it teaches kids...but parents teach their kids not the movie so what does it matter what the characters do? It is what it is. so why bring up arguments that end in something we can't change. I don't care if a princess is unrealistic or not. It's doesn't matter it's a cartoon.

Why I dislike the 3 good fairies:

Ok, starting off I don't think Maleficent is in the wrong here I mean if you know anything about her back story you would know that King Stephen and the queen have been terrible to her. Then they don't even invite her to the baby's party. Heck! I would have cursed the child too. Now keeping subject on the Fairies when I was little I didn't really like the fairies they just seemed dumb, and as a 7 year old child I could think of better ways to help out Aurora. MaryWeather the blue fairy says only a true love can break the spell. But if you fast forward a bit she keeps Aurora AWAY from people. They don't even let Phillip make visits to her so 'just in case' she will have a true love. Another thing is don't you think it would be better if they told her who she was. If she new she was the princess 1 that would save her from shock, 2 she would be aware spinning wheels could KILL her 3. She would try to be finding a true love 4. She wouldn't be in the forest singing "I wonder." Because she would KNOW why. Basically she is allergic to spinning wheels but her Aunts never tell her 'Hey, if you touch a spinning wheel you might fall a sleep and NEVER wake up.'Not to mention Aurora should have been heavily guarded at all times that way there is no way she can prick her finger. Their thinking is just the worst, that explains why they can't even do simple house work with out magic. So all in all if I were the three fairies I would.

1.Hide Aurora
2.Tell her who she was
3.Bring Gaurds
4.Bring Phillip, just in case

Because the 3 fuddy-duddys can't even work out logic. They even get Aurora found out. If they hadn't been playing with their god damn magic like children they would have realized 'hey we are making colorful, NOTICEABLE sparks fly up the chimney maybe we should be adults and compromise colors so we don't GIVE AWAY OUR POSITION!!! Like they are lucky Maleficent's henchmen were Idiots because if they were intelligent like Maleficent's crow the Fairies and Aurora would be in big trouble. I just could never get past the fact MaryWeather said "only a true loves kiss can break the spell." Yet 'Nope let's Keep her AWAY from people.' I told you guys I could write an article on why these 3 Fairies are Idiots, so I did. In the end it turns out all right but they just make it harder for them selves. Which I guess means Disney wasn't using logic when he made Sleeping beauty. Not to mention, if her parents love Aurora they could kiss her on the cheek and break the spell but I guess that's more of a modern thing. Last thing The fairies put everyone to sleep ...Why? I mean i get it they don't want to tell anyone but, don't you think they could have helped. Now I didn't want to use to much realism because it is a Disney film. Yes! I know I make no sense ....anyway thanks for reading my rant/ article butterflies hope you didn't totally hate it. I tried to make as much sense as I could.

Why I dislike Frozen:

I know shocking, the so called "Best movie ever" is disliked by me. I know most of you are like "oh, this chick again here to bitch about some more stuff." But I don't care I can state my Opinions even if I present them as though they are facts. About Frozen, No, I don't just hate I because it's so popular but the 'hype' I dislike as well, sorry but I dislike lots of things. Is there a problem? Anyway I recently made a wall post hoping to find someone that could tell me WHY they liked Frozen so I could watch it with an Open mind.

Most people have this kind of view that as long as it was funny it was "well done". Though at the same time, many people just like a movie despite it's flaws like the people here on fanpop. Saying it's Disney's best is just stupid though.

I love Frozen, but it's not because I don't think it through. It is beautiful, had a good story and has good characters too. I love the story the camera angles and more. It is good and there is a reason to like it. I find very little flaws with the movie and almost every flaw you point out, I can find a train how you are wrong, or that it doesn't really matter. I don't like how you assume that I am stupid because I like frozen. I wish I knew why you hate it so much, because it's not bad, I also don't like how you say your opinion as if it is right and everyone else's is wrong. I do respect your opinion on the movie though :)

Mindless consumerism is right. I get annoyed when a well-made movie comes out and everyone raves about how it's the greatest thing ever, but after all the hype dies down no one talks about it, aren't interested in it, and/or start to realize or pick at it's flaws. This is why I dislike super hero and CGI films. If the best it has to offer is it has "groundbreaking/realistic CGI" (Avatar and Life of Pi, I'm looking at you), then it doesn't have enough for me.

So to answer DisneyFan9648's question in a respectable way here is why I dislike Frozen. My question if anyone wants to answer it is WHY do you like frozen actual thought out Answers though PLEASE not just 'it was good' or 'good animation, pretty looking.' Actual REASONS like I'm about to present about why I dislike frozen. Key word: Dislike NOT hate.

Characters:

Anna- she is the first one we see, and at first I found her enjoyable she was CUTE, clumsy the average kid basically. But then we see her growing up after a while she finally gets that Elsa does NOT want to be bothered. I thought this was her maturing up for the better whilst Elsa stayed a child and became the villain but I was mistaken. Next we see her waking up acting all 'modern' having bed head, and she didn't really act like an Adult really then she jumped out of bed like "it's coronation day!" She acted so hyper that I knew she couldn't possibly be the princess I thought. she was just like the tumblr people said "she is going to be a rip off of Rapunzel." The fact that Disney didn't take the time to give her a NEW face I was willing to over look, but her personality is JUST like Rapunzel if not worse. Yes her back story is different but her Character is spot on to Rapunzel. I mean 'locked away from people' and 'totally, awkward and clumsy' that's RAPUNZEL. Also I don't really like hyper princesses plus she was so annoying nor did she change at the end like Rapunzel did Anna stayed IDIOTIC, sorry but I don't find her hyper ness enjoyable just annoying.

Elsa- Ok, I liked her at first she was a not-to-childish child but then her parents BLAMED her for shooting Anna (when it really was Anna's fault for not stopping when Elsa said to stop) her parents corrupted her with fear, anxiety and panic. She turned into a fearful person and after that I don't think she could think clear. She acted so Over dramatic (whilst Anna was annoying her in PUBLIC) I like Elsa I really do but Anna and her Parents messed her up. I feel bad for her with her annoying sister and misguided parents. (Also I don't like the trolls because they told the parents and SCARED Elsa)

Hans- I love Hans, he is so deceptive and sneaky that what you look for in a villain though I don't think he was supposed to be the villain but after 'let it go' they couldn't make Elsa the villain and the duke of WeaselTown was so lame. Hans was the only enjoyable character for me and I'm so glad he didn't really like Anna and stabbed her in the back. Not to mention he is a damn good actor.

Kristoff- meh, he was just so quirky like for real 'talking to a reindeer' that boy need psychological help. Other than having that stupid reindeer that acts like a dog, I liked Kristoff he was normal yet logical and hopefully educated Anna.

Olaf- he wasn't so bad, sometimes he seemed a bit forced like *LAUGH AT THIS NOW ITS FUNNY* he made me laugh at some points, but overall I found him annoying but since he is merely ignorant and naïve...I guess he is ok. I wouldn't say he is worth melting for. He just a bit of a fixer upper. Hehe...love is not an open door to him. My face was FROZEN into a frown. I don't want to build this snowman. For the first time in forever I hate this character. Hehe ok your PUN-ishment is over. I kill myself.

Sven- No, just NO ... A reindeer that acts like a dog...um MAXIMUS MUCH?! Rip off. I found Maximus annoying like ACT YOUR OWN SPECIES! Sven had a good heart though there for my views of him are neutral.

The duke of WeaselTown- what a lame villain, realistic, but lame. At least he thinks things out though...so not to bad, but he doesn't do much nor does he have power. I'm neutral about him.

Songs:
Fixer Upper- why was this song made the Trolls can't sing, nor do I think it was catchy, I'm not into whatever genre of music that was.

Frozen heart- the only one I sort of like its very Nordic I think. I find it original as if it was a chant or story in a song. Not the most catchy but enjoyable

Do you wanna build a snowman- I like it it's very catchy and reminds me of fun childish things, it's more of a ballad for a musical though.

Let it go- the BEST song out of all of them the godfather of modern songs. By far the most rememberable especially with the meaning behind it. Most relatable most disney. The only song I love and will sing non stop.

Love is an open door- I don't think Kristen bell can sing, I really don't it's annoying high pitched and frantic. Hans can't sing either he was talk-singing or talking with the melody. The lyrics were crap on repeat. Just full of hyper over dramatic teen singing about stupidity and 'Love' so to speak they don't know anything about love and Hans's betrayal makes this song ever so bitter sweet. But I HATED this song more so than my hate for Fixer upper.

The First Time in Forever- Kristen Bell can NOT sing but I like the lyrics despite the incompetence of Anna messing it up.

Reindeers are better than people- Kristoff can't sing, it's stupid THAT BOY NEEDS SERIOUS HELP! The lyrics are pointless a Blab of words put to a guitar.


Movie Development:

The Landscape design was crap....I don't care if Elsa sent a frost how does she get from a sunny kingdom TO A SNOW CAPPED MOUNTAIN!!! I makes no sense!

The overall plot was nice, but felt very rushed all the same. I was with them at first but around the time when the wolves attacked Anna and Kristoff it seemed VERY rushed after that. It appears this all happens with in a day or two. Which is very unrealistic and annoying they could have at least died down on how FRANTIC it all was. But it's disney things happen is mere hours. I like the concept of the movie the plot was Perfection! The script however was crap. Also note: Elsa also doesn't seem to have her priorities straight, she manages to shoot her sister but misses the bad guys.

Animation: it's CGI I don't like CGI I much prefer 2D animation but that doesn't bother me, Modern movies are enjoyable as long as they don't get over hyped. I get it, it's a cartoon but it just as bad as Jasmine or Ariel unrealistic figure. Just like Rapunzel Anna and Elsa have HUGE eyes and small tiny little mouths ...like no. Other than that the animation was Flawless. It's not the best disney has made but pretty AMAZING!

To tell you the truth if Anna was taken out this movie would be enjoyable....sort of-ish-kind of-maybe
That's why i dislike Frozen NOT HATE just dislike.

My opinion on Merida VS Ariel:

Ok so ariel was my 3rd favorite but then I re watched her movie and I have to admit she dropped way low I realized I loved her movie not really her as a person then Merida was my 13th but I moved her up because her actions were understandable anyway I'd thought I'd rant about it to get it out of my system *sorry for my grammar and/or spelling that might go wrong in this article*

Ariel has a lovely life under the sea however she likes the human world and discovers there stuff in shipwrecks and collects their junk. Now her father doesn't like that because ...well humans do EAT fish but ariel ignores this fact and continues her love for human things and ends up skipping out on her fathers musical naturally her father is mad ...but it looks like she might get of with just a lecture but then the ever so cute idiot flounder jumps in and ruins it fast forward >> she is in her grotto and guess what she sings part of you world that says and I QUOTE 'wouldn't you think I'm the girl the girl who has everything.....I've got gadgets and gizmos of PLENTY I've got who's its and whats its GALORE ....but who cares no big deal I want MORE. PAUSE ok put that in the mouth of today's 16 year old girl ...can't you just picture her on MTVs 'my sweet 16' she just sounds spoiled ..not saying that other princesses aren't, not saying I'm not, just saying. Okay then Sebastian comes in ...she ignores him goes up to the surface then starts stalking the humans on the boat...ok maybe not stalk....but watches curiously then sees this handsome guy and be like "dayum scuttle do you see dat fine piece of man right there...let me get dat" Only looking at his looks rather than get to know him GREAT LESSON DISNEY *sarcasm* -yeah sure she sees him act kind but normal people get married after YEARS of dating to make sure they are the right on I mean they don't even talk like Aurora, cinderella and SnowWhite. Anyway fast forward >> she saves Eric some might call it selfless but is it really ...she's only saving him because he is handsome think of all the other sailors that died because they weren't as handsome as Eric and NO one saved them. Ok fast forward >> she is at the rock and Sebastian is basically telling her how awesome it is under the sea in the song! and how crappy it is on land and he is right she is half FISH humans eat fish its common sense not to go up there it's like if some Different species lived above you and ate monkeys, primates and mammals thats incredibly close to humans so chances are your not going to go up there crushing on them. Also you might say that king triton was wrong to hate humans but he really WASNT think about it humans are terrible they pollute the ocean now they kill off entire species and they EAT FISH you even see Eric eat fish. Urg anyway fast forward>> she ignores Sebastian and goes with the little twit Flounder to gawk at a statue of the prince, of coarse out of concern for Ariel's well being Sebastian tells her father who destroys her stuff realizing Ariel's obsession has gone WAY too far. She then meets Ursula's eels ...and out of anger and stupidity goes to visit Ursula. She sees the Polyps and hears Ursula say she has made her costumers polyps...she also hears Ursula say win him over with your body and don't say a word BECAUSE NOT TALKING IS HOW YOU GET TO KNOW SOMEONE. Great lesson disney *sarcasm* she stupidly accepts Ursula's deal and it's not like she doesn't know Ursula's evil hence 'sea witch' and Sebastian saying SHE is a DEMON but NO she makes a deal with the devil for a guy she hasn't spoken to. I mean for someone that has lived under the water for her entire life, she sure is thirsty. Anyway fast forward >> ok so Eric is liking ariel even though she can't speak but No Ursula cheats and uses her magic...but the thing is ariel is stupid enough to believe the EVIL SEA WITCH that once ruled the kingdom THAT wants the kingdom back will play fair and that she will not use, You the DAUGHTER of the KING to get what she wants. Anyway fast forward >> Eric realizes that she was the one that saved him and wants her even more...but that's the thing thats all he sees in her and her voice thats like it... Anyway he doesn't kiss her in time and she is taken back to the sea by Ursula where the king gives up himself for Ariel ...she then says 'sorry daddy...I didn't mean it I didn't know' that's NOT an apology that's saying I didn't know the ocean would be in danger I didn't mean for you to be turned into a polyp. However she never takes self blame NEVER admits its her fault which it is she didn't mean for it to get out of control, and she didn't want to harm anyone but herself possibly...however she did intend to runaway from home forever for a guy ...she then proceeds to blame Ursula by saying "you....You Monster" yes Ursula is a monster but that's blaming Ursula for all this, yes it is Ursula's fault but if Ariel had not taken the deal this wouldn't have happend. Next Eric stabs her with a boat which I would think with all Ursula's power she could have stopped. Then HAPPY ENDING she made a huge mistake and gets rewarded for it with her prince who she has only spoken four lines too. *slow claps* great lesson don't you think???sure I might be putting way too much logic into this disney movie made to entertain and please you...but I had to say it

Now Merida on the other hand it's not just one musical she misses it's not the fact she likes to do sporty stuff...it's everyday of her life except for one day ...and get this unlike Ariel she doesn't complain about it often. She doesn't like it but she doesn't go singing songs about how great she has it but wants more.She has her day of freedom and is perfectly happy about it however her mom who is already really strict drops a huge Bomb on her, Marriage to people she hasn't meet yet proving SnowWhite and Ariel logic wrong for once. Obviously her mother needs to learn a thing or two about marriage and love too...Merida doesn't like it so instead of blowing up (though she acted very bratty) she simply bends the rules a bit then when that doesn't work and her mother throws her favorite thing into the fire she cries and runs off but not to run away to cool herself off a bit I mean jut imagine if you were Merida you love doing this...or that but your mother says no you are a lady so you can't do that ...or you are a gentleman so you can't do that...then she says ok now you have to marry a total stranger ...yes I know its Merida's job to do that but not everyone likes there job especially when it requires you to do something you are not ready for. Yes Merida isn't very noble for sticking with her job but thats the point she is brave enough to say no...anyway she is crying because her favorite item was destroyed so she takes a ride. I don't think she has any intention of running away I think it's just like locking yourself in your room to either have a good cry or to simmer yourself down ...when she is lead to a witch ...I repeat LEAD she didn't go to the witch knowing the witch was evil and the witch wasn't evil either. Then she wants to change her mom using a potion ...so yes she is poisoning her mom but it's like hypnotizing her she just wants to change her moms mind with no intentions of doing anything terrible like leave them forever ...or kill her mom just to change her mind I've wanted to change people's minds on a lot of things doesn't mean I'm evil for slipping some shut up pills into there food. Anyway she does act quite selfish and brat like when it's clear her mom is in pain and she doesn't really care but besides that she acts quite helpful in getting her mom back to normal and they bond then her mom changes her mind on the marriage and really it's a great message don't fight your mother bond with her and she might see you side to it ...and Merida learns the hard way that Changing someone is wrong and to grow up because if I recall she was about to make a decision on who to marry when her and her mom were trying to sneak in to the castle. Then instead of being the damsel in distress she saves herself and saves her mom not to mention her 3 brothers and well the kingdom from mordu, and that's why I like her better. Not to mention when it looks like her mom might be a bear forever she cries, in deep regret and remorse for what she did. Saying "This is all my fault, I did this to you." So yes Merida is better than Ariel to me. Ariel to me is a brat that never learned her lesson.
