So I was able to update earlier than I thought. Once again let me know what you think :)

Cuddy woke up and sighed deeply. She cuddled into her pillow to realize it was moving. She looked up to see House sleeping peacefully and smiled. She laid her head back down and looked at the alarm clock. It was only 5. She decided to take the day off. She got out of bed and went to her phone. When she ended the call she walked back over to the bed, laid down, and cuddled back up to House.
-----
House woke up at 9 and tried to shift, but noticed there was an extra weight on him. He looked down to see Cuddy sleeping. He smiled and laid back down. Looking down at her he began to play with her hair and she began to wake up.
"Good morning," he said groggly.
"Good morning," she said as she turned her head and rested her chin on his chest.
He looked at the clock and noticed it was already past 9. "Shouldn't you be getting ready for work," he questioned.
"Took the day off," she stated.
"Oh really and why did you do that," he asked curiously. The truth was he was happy, but he also had to question it after her previous behavior.
"So I could just stay in bed with you," she said with a smirk.
House just nodded. He didn't know what to say to that. Suddenly he remembered something. She had a boyfriend and child at home. Cuddy felt him tense and noticed the look on his face.
"What's wrong," she asked.
"You have a boyfriend and child at home," he stated silently.
"Soon to be ex-boyfrined and my daughter has a nanny," she stated reassuringly.
Just as she said that her phone rang. She went to get it and looked at the ID to see it was Lucas. She sighed knowing this conversation was inevitable. He was a good guy, but he wasn't what she wanted.
"Hello," she answered.
"Hey Lisa. Where are you? You didn't come home last night," he questioned almost innocently.
"Um...we have some things to talk about. Things I don't want to talk about over the phone."
"I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say this is about House and you want to break up," stated Lucas. He went from sounding innocent to angry even possibly jealous in seconds.
House looked at Cuddy curiously. He felt uncomfortable laying in bed while she was on the phone talking to her boyfriend. He got up, put on pants, and limped to the kitchen.
Cuddy got the feeling something was up and knew she needed to talk to him now. "I have to go. We will talk about this later."
"Don't bother. Go be happy with House," he stated coldly. He was definitely angry. More at himself than her because he believed she was in a relationship with him to be with him. Not to make House see what he was missing. Guess it worked, he thought coldly.
Cuddy didn't bother worrying about Lucas though. She quickly hung up the phone, put on House's discarded t-shirt, and walked into the kitchen to see House leaning against the counter. She walked up to him and hugged him, but he didn't return it. She pulled away and looked at him.
"What's wrong," she asked for the second time that morning and gazed at him.
"You just blew your shot at a perfect life and I helped. Why would you pick me over him? He's much more caring, honest, helpful and I could go on and on about the things he is that I'm not," he said returning her gaze.
"There is one thing he doesn't have that you do," stated Cuddy honestly. She was putting her pride on the line, but he was worth it.
"And what's that? A big...," he was quickly cut off by her though.
"My heart," she stated quietly.
He just looked at her. What had he done to deserve her? He made her life a living hell and here she was choosing him over the perfect guy. He didn't know the answer, but he knew he wasn't going to waste his chance at having her himself. He walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her. She returned the hug and smiled.
"I don't know what I did to deserve you, but I'm not wasting this chance," he whispered into her hair. His exact thoughts being told to her. She smiled again. It felt good to be with him.
Suddenly there was a knock at the door. House broke away from the embrace and went to the door. He was shocked to see Lydia on the other side. Once he had the door open all the way she walked over to him and quickly kissed him. She walked into the apartment like she owned the place and asked, "did you get a new car? It's really nice looking. I saw it out front."
Cuddy felt the need to make her prescence known and walked out of the kitchen in just House's t-shirt. "It's actually my car," she stated confidently.
Lydia looked up shocked to see her. Especially her attire. She looked from her to House and got up and walked towards the door, but before she walked out she turned toward House.
"So this is it? Your leaving me for her? She didn't even want you yesterday!"
"Yeah I'm choosing her over you. I love her. I don't love you. You were just a distraction for my feelings for her." Hey he was only being honest.
Lydia looked at him shocked and angry. She walked up to him, slapped him across the face, and stormed out the door.
Cuddy walked up to him and put her hand on his cheek soothing the sting. His eyes met hers and she stood on her toes and kissed him.
"Come on. Let's go back to bed," she urged. Maybe, just maybe, they could be happy in their own way.

"Change the colors of the sky,
And open up to the ways you made me feel alive,
The ways I loved you.
For all the things that never died,
To make it through the night.
Love will find you.
What about now?
What about today?
What if your making me,
All that I was meant to be?
What if our love,
Never went away?
What if it's lost behind,
Words we could never find?
Baby before it's too late,
What about now?"

'What About Now' - Daughtry
When does Love become something we need, rather than something we want? Love was seen as something special a long time ago. Now Love is what we are expected to have with us everyday of our lives. Love is common currency when you are a teenager, but turns to worthless pennies the older you get. Do we not care about the substance of what Love was and not what it has been made into today by commercialisation from American movies and Television commercials and soap operas? Only when we experience Love for real, can we comment and judge others who are in Love. Love means something different to everyone. Not two people’s feeling of Love is the same. Why do we generalize, rationalize and compartmentalize Love? Love is and will continue to be an enigma. Only a handful of people will ever unlock it and witness its true beauty and essence. The essence we all crave.
Love.
Love.
