Mickie’s P.O.V:


Last night was amazing, just lying under the stars with the boy I love, niall horan.

I stood up in my room and pulled back the blinds, letting the sun beam into my room. I waltzed into the bathroom and washed my hands and face, then brushed my teeth thoroughly and strolled back into my bedroom.

I applied a small bit of make-up, not too much because I had no bruises or marks to cover up for once. I combed through my hair, brushing through each of the strands carefully. I placed a small flower in my hair and let it fall down as it reached my waist-line.

I hurried over to the wardrobe where I studied every item of clothing I had in search of something decent to wear.
I eventually settled for a pair of demin mini shorts, a tank top and a pair of converse as the sun was shining outside.
Once satisfied, I dressed my bed and skipped downstairs.

All of my sisters were giggling but immediately came to a holt when they noticed my presence.
“What are you looking at?” Tanya growled.
“Um… nothing, I’m just getting my breakfast.” I shrugged, making my way to the fridge.
Claire stopped me and scowled.
“Go to school, you can have something later.” She commanded.
I nodded and grabbed my bag. I then jogged out the door and I was on my way.

I reached school and was met by niall in the corridor. He kissed me on the lips and smiled.

“I’ll see you at lunch babe.” He grinned and sprinted away.
I headed to my locker and got my books ready. My phone beeped and I stared at my screen quickly as we weren’t allowed to have phones in school.


‘1 New Message – Niall.X’

Didn't I see him about 30 seconds ago? I opened it anyways.


Niall.X – 8:19am: ‘Mickie, I'm sorry. I can’t do this anymore. Ur sisters paid me 2 pretend 2 love you and go out with you. I only went along with it because I felt sorry for you. I don’t love you Mickie and never will. Just face it, who would want to go out with you? (No offence). Anyways I'm sorry for leading you on like that. But your sisters paid me so I wasn’t going to say no. see you around.’


Tears welled up in my eyes and trickled down my cheeks as I read over the message.
Zayn came up to me.
“Mickie what’s happened?!?!” he quizzed.
I didn't have time to answer, because Amy had stood up on a bench in the middle of the corridors and demanded everyone’s attention. Everybody looked up at her.

“Everyone listen up! Does everyone know Mickie Leanne rosemary?” she asked.
There was a faint mutter.
“Niall’s girlfriend!” she told them. The mutter became louder and people turned towards me. What was she doing?
“Well Mickie has a secret.” She smirked at me.
What does she know?
“Does anyone wonder why Mickie usually comes to school with a new injury every day?” she questioned everyone.
“BECAUSE SHE’s A CLUMSY BITCH!” a guy commented which set off a howl of laughter in the corridor.
“No, this is why: Mickie has 5 sisters who take care of her because her parents past away 10 years ago…” she began.
Oh no.
“SO? WHO CARES?” another guy remarked.

“Listen… when her parents died she was left with her sisters. But, here’s the twist: Mickie is her sisters’ slave. She cleans the whole house every day and if she dis-obeys her sisters or does something wrong… they beat her up and leave her unconscious in a cellar. And niall only pretended to go out with her for money. Like, who would want to date Mickie, a slave girl? Oh and Mickie, if you’re wondering how I know this, niall told me everything when we were kissing in the janitors closet.” She announced.


More tears filled my eyes as I turned towards zayn, who had a look of disgust on his face.
“Zayn…” I tried to explain.
“How could you lie to me like that? I thought we were close Mickie.” He looked really hurt.
“Please zayn…” I pleaded.
“Just- don’t bother Mickie.” He spat as he walked away.


Zayn’s P.O.V:


I can’t believe Mickie lied to me. I thought we were best friends and she kept this secret from me??
Amanda ran up to me and saw that I was upset.
“Zayn what’s wrong?” she asked in a caring tone.
“Nothing.” I grumbled.
“Come on babe. You can tell me.” She smiled as she hugged me tight. I pushed her away from me.
“I’m sorry Amanda. I can’t do this anymore. Us, we’re over. I’m really sorry, but I think it’s for the best.” I told her as I stormed off.

I didn't want to be near anyone at the moment. I can’t get Mickie out of my head. I can’t believe that she lied to me!


Mickie’s P.O.V:


I couldn't stop the tears from falling. I had now lost my best friend as well as my boyfriend. And also, everyone knows the secret I’ve been trying to keep for the past couple of years. Things couldn't possibly get any worse. People came up to me, taunting and teasing me.

“SLAVE GIRL! SLAVE GIRL!” people chanted as the strolled by. I tried to ignore the comments but I couldn't help but let them get to me.

“Mickie!” a familiar Irish accent called me.
I cant believe that he has the nerve to talk to me after what he has done.

I walked faster but he caught up with me.
“Mickie, wait up!” he spoke as he grabbed my arm.
I turned to face him and pulled my arm out of his grasp.
“Did you feel sorry for me?!” I quizzed.
“What?” he asked in a confused tone.
“Did you think that just because I don’t have the easiest of lives that you could pretend to love me and I wouldn’t mind because I finally had someone who cared for me. And what’s worse, you had my sisters’ pay you?!” I screamed.
“Mickie I don’t know what you’re talking ab-” I interrupted him there.


“And what about those promises you made me? You promised me that you would always love me. You promised me that you would always be by my side. And most importantly, you promised that you would never hurt me, but yet you’ve just shattered my heart into a million pieces, did those promises mean anything to you? I guess not since you’ve broken every single one of them. Was one girlfriend not enough for you niall? Would you prefer me to be a slut like Amy instead? Well I’m sorry niall but I’m not going to change into some Barbie doll for you. Maybe you would prefer to date Amy instead? I’m sure that won’t be a problem and I hope you had a wonderful time kissing her.” I broke down I tears.


“Mickie that was a mi-” I cut him off again.
“No. the mistake was ever falling for a tool like you. I LOVED you Niall, but now I can’t even stand the sight of seeing you.” I scowled.
“Come on Mickie, you don’t mean that. I love you.” He leaned in to kiss me.
“No you don’t niall.” I back away from him.
“Of course I do babe.” He said with a hint of laughter in his voice.
“Don’t joke with me horan, my life is already one.” And with that, I walked away.
