I was walking to the park one day
Then there was a faint figure I could see
I asked my friend if he saw it
But he said it must just be me.

I walked to the figure and said hello
But received silence as my reply
I asked if she could talk, she grabbed me by the
neck, forced me to the ground and said: Be silent or die.

I got somewhat scared, but then pushed her off
And brushed away the debris.
She looked me in the eye and
here's what she said to me.

"I am not a normal person,
I'm not supposed to be seen,
But you can see me, oddly enough
And there is one thing that can mean."

I asked her what that would be,
But before I got my reply,
The ground began to rumble, and she said
RUN BEFORE YOU DIE!!

I grabbed her hand quickly
And made a run for my life,
But the thing that came out from underground
Caused the two of us much strife.

The demon looked at the girl
And growled in agony
The girl sighed sadly and released my hand,
She said "What he wants is me."

I tried to stop her from going away
But before I had my chance,
The demon grabbed her and
Gave me a deadly glance.

I fell to my knees in sorrow,
Feeling like I'd been denied,
My heart was tethered, and I knew
It had been too long since I last cried

Tears began to swell within my eyes
As I thought about her more.
My friend rushed over to me, and I
Felt as though I'd lost a war.

He helped me get back on my feet,
Along with help me walk.
I was too busy crying
To even attempt to talk.

He asked me what had happened,
But I posed no reply.
He looked at me strangely, and said
"I've never seen you cry."

I sighed sadly, and said at last
"I feel as though I've lost a friend"
He tilted his head to one side,
And said "There's never an end"

"No matter how hard it may seem
To find the ones you've lost
I'll be there to help you find them again
With not a penny's extra cost"

I thanked him for his kindness
But I said I would be fine.
Then I sighed and said to him
"The fault is all mine."

It's been two years since that day
I think of her even now.
My sweet, fiery princess
To you I make this vow.

Someday, I promise, no matter
When that day may be
There shall be a meeting once again
Between you and me.

I left my house the very next day
And there she stood again.
it had been two years, I thought
Would she remember who I am?

I walked to her hesitantly
Her eyes were glowing in joy
She looked at me tauntingly,
And said "Hello there, little boy."

At first I'd been angry
But then I was happy too
She looked me at me, right between the eyes
And said: "I love you"
