Chapter 4
Koda ran out of the school before anyone heard or found out about his little incident. But he knew sooner or later someone would walk in that office and see Principle Nakai on the floor with his desk on top of him and realize who wasn’t in school anymore…he would be serious trouble.
The sun was at its peak in the sky, probably around 1 or 2 pm. It was hot, the breeze that blew was dry and it burned Koda’s eyes. He stood next to his dirt bike, contemplating where he should go before any cop…or parent arrived.
He decided it didn’t matter as long as it was away from here so he revved his bike up and took off into the desert away from the town…away from everything and everyone.
Shilah was busy with his grandfather in the living room when someone knocked on their front door. Knowing he wasn’t expecting anyone he walked to the door curiously to see who it was. In front of him was a cop with a grim look on his face.
“Hi, is there something wrong?” he asked nervously.
Last time a cop showed up at their door it was to tell them that their father was involved in an accident and that he didn’t make it to the hospital alive. A high out of his mind truck driver slammed into his dad’s small pickup, tossing him into a ditch and literally crushing him inside.
“It has something to do with your brother,” the cop said.
Shilah’s heart started to race. He didn’t think he was dead but had the feeling that he’d gotten himself in trouble.
“What’d he do?”
“You sound as if you’re used to this.”
“If you knew my brother personally you would be too.”
“Well, he assaulted his school principle this afternoon.”
Shilah almost could not believe this. He knew his brother had rebellion problems and an attitude but attacking someone?
“What happened?”
“His school principle confronted him on his late arrivals to school, told him to leave for the day and according to the principle he snapped and threw his office desk on top of him.”
“You’re…you’re serious? Koda did that?”
Shilah felt numb over. Koda doing something like that just seemed so…wrong.
“Yes, we’re currently searching for him but so far no luck. We believe he may have taken off into the desert but we can’t look for him out there tonight.
The officer reached into his wallet and pulled out a white card, a business card, and handed it to Shilah.
“We think he might come back here later on after he’s cooled off from his anger burst, we he does call me.”
The officer turned to leave, “What are you gonna do with him?” Shilah said with worry.
“We’ll have to arrest him. Minor or not, he assaulted someone.”

The sun is up in the sky
i watch it in the big blue ksky
And i ask myslef,"why?"
i stare at the ceiling.
then i get a strange felling.
and this felling is still being.
and then i ask,"why?"
What do i see in those eyes?
what do i see in you?
even thought i still despise.
i always ask myslef,"why?"
ask me that question,"why?"
i say i dont know
they tell me dont lie
so then i speak th truth.
i know that in my heart
i will always love you
your eyes that shine like he sun
being with you is always fun
one day i will tell you,hun
that you are the only one
sorry, not all the words rhyme.im not the best at making poems, but i wanted to share it with you anyways

Is it possible to fall in love with someone you’ve never met
Your only knowledge stemming from information you’ve seen or read
Before I knew of his existence I would have stated no
Yet the first time I saw him my heart begged to never let go
It isn’t rational
Or logical
Though love rarely is
I can’t make my heart stop wishing that I held his
And I know it's stupid and silly to believe
In some kind of fairy tale
The perfect prince for me
But every time I see that smile
I can’t help but feel
That one day we could share
A love that is real
