Then Corrine fired a strong beam of light at me. I stumbled to the ground.
"Soul!" Professor Rhinestone cried and rushed to my aid. He checked my flushed face, and my burnt hands. "No... Taine! How could you let model #002 do such a thing?!" Taine shrugged in a nervous wreck. "I-I don't know Rhinestone.. I thought everything went okay until-" Professor's eyes turned into a sharp glare. "Listen, if you don't fix that hybrid by tomorrow, I will banish the needs of any hybrid!" Taine's eyes grew. "Rhinestone.. It was an accident!" Professor looked back at me, fainted and nearly broken. "Taine... Look.. One of her eyes are shattered all the way.." He picked me up and headed out the door. "But Rhinestone, your model, what'll you do with it?" Professor looked back, "Leave her, she can wait a day. And don't you dare touch her." Even though my mind was almost shut off completely, I still couldn't believe this. Professor never cared this much for me.. I felt touched.
Once we got inside Professor's room, he took out his tool set. He began working and working. It seemed like hours before I came to. "....Prof? Why.. Why do I feel so different?" He showed me a grateful smile. "Soul, I installed a new right eye for you. Your last one was shattered into millions of pieces after that incident. Do you like it? It might take some getting used to." I sat up and touched my new eye. "What color is it? Is it still green?" He shook his head. "No, its red. The only color I could fine. I'm sorry if you don't fancy it." I immediately nodded no. "Professor thank you very much for fixing me! I feel much better! Oh, and, I think you should forgive Taine, he didn't know after all." Professor Rhinestone looked down steadily. "Yes, I suppose. He is one of my dear co-workers after all." I nodded happily. "I love my new eye. Thank you!" I jumped off from the bed I lay on. "Soul. Do you.. Mind me inventing the hybrid Taoloid?" I paused. "Well... I do if you mind it." He shook his head. "No, say it from your heart. What you really think." I mumbled. "Umm.. Well.. Uh.. No. I do not find it appealing at all." I wait for his reply. "Thank you, Soul." I tilted my head in question. "But, don't you like it? You came up with the idea." "No I didn't. It was all Taine's. I didn't agree with it at first but I thought I might just need to settle on it anyways." "T-thats what I thought!" I blurted. My wings lowered. He smiled. "Would you think that.. We should just forget about it?" I gasped in shock. "Why yes but.. At least you should keep Myra. She is #001 of the hybrids anyway.." He nodded. "I think, Soul, that I should just keep working and adding features on you instead." I smiled. "Thank you.. I'd appreciate that."

Where did it all go wrong
what made us fall apart
I was so caught up in a dizzy
spin of fantasies
I didn't even notice.
Baby please I'm sorry
I know we had a bad run
but i know we can make
this thing work
There are lines drawn
and Ive crossed them
You made no attempt to stop me
In fact you probably welcomed it.
I've crossed the bridge
now i must stand and
watch it burn
theres no going back now.
I've done some real bad things
in my past, some to others
mostly to myself, racked woth guilt
but i must soldier on
Because ...
The bridge is burnt
I stood and watched it burn
No going back, no backing out...
I've crossed the line
Im in too deep
far too deep
in love with you.

A/N: Okay, so this was an idea that pestered me. Let me know if I should continue.
Taylor paced the length of her quarters. Being unable to sleep was, ironically, a tiresome experience.
She had been a vampire for less than ten years, and remembered nothing of her life as a human. In her mind, it was simply an odd void, like the only way to sense it's presence was from it's very absence.
Tomorrow, the moon would be the smallest crescent, and she would be forced to hunt, along with every other vampire there. To vampires, the moon always looked the same. It was only when humans saw it that way too, would they need to hunt.
Resisting was futile, Taylor knew. She had tried every time and failed. The pain would be worse than she could manage. Than anyone could.
She sank to the floor against the wall, and melted into the shadows.
