Chapter Nine
Jamie officially had nothing to wear. Even through that there were many pieces of clothes to choose from the closet that she shares with Michael, there was nothing that could impresses Sean who looked like the guy who doesn’t cares what you wear but he does want you to have some lunch with him but it was making Jamie nervous as hell.
Looking through the closet for the fourth time while Jake was sitting on the bed, playing with his toy and being his mother’s fashion expert which he had no experience on unless he had spitted on your unattractive clothes after nursing him, Jamie looked through the closet to find some pretty shirts and pants to wear because every time she saw Sean, she was either in her old robe, in t-shirts and jeans, and even in sweats sometimes. To tell the handsome man she will be meeting in forty-five minutes that she doesn’t let herself go yet, Jamie got to find some nice clothing but which one? That could be a problem.
After finding a pair of black pants that it’s fitted at the top but a little loose at the bottom of the hem, to see if it will fit her because she hadn’t seen those pants in months, Jamie quickly took off the pants she was wearing, stepped into those, pulled those up, buttoned it, and walking to the mirror to see how the pants was fitting her which gave her a total shock.
The pants looked like that the black pants she’s wearing right now had been made for her. It hanged to her every curve and when Jamie turned herself around to see the back, she was more surprised to that. Jamie Thomas had a butt! “Oh, my!” thought Jamie when she saw that and right away, Jamie decided to keep those magical pants forever and forever because it might give Michael or Sean something to look at and she might pass it down to Mac or Izzie to share the wonderfulness of the pants for generations to come.
After admiring herself in front of the mirror, before heading off to find a shirt to match, Jamie went to her baby son who was still on the bed, still playing with his toy, and in front of him, Jamie asked him, “Hey, Jake. How this looks?” In return, Jake looked up from his toy, stared at his mother and seconds later, with a huge smile on his face, he told her something in gibberish which probably meant, “You looked so nice in it, Mama but now, let me play with my toy!”
Moments after getting that approval from her only child in the house right now, Jamie muttered to herself, “That’s probably a good thing. Whatever he told me.” After watching Jake play with his toy, Jamie smiled at him and went back to the closet to find a shirt to match and then, maybe some shoes, jewelry, or some make-up or a new hairstyle in less than forty minutes.
Twenty minutes later, Jamie turned her closet upside-down to look for a shirt and eventually, she founded a new shirt that she had brought with Julie a few weeks ago at a small boutique in Georgetown. The shirt was made of a teal-blue silk and it was a fitted blouse with short puffed sleeves and in Jamie’s opinion, it was pretty expensive. $75 exactly.
Jamie remembered that time she founded the blouse, saw the price tag attached to it, and putted it back on the rack it came from. Julie saw her older sister doing that, and putting her arm away from the crowded rack, once she founded some empty space, Julie quickly asked her, “Jamie, why you did that? That shirt was perfect for you. It looked like that it was made for you.” Wanting her sister to stop talking, Jamie looked at her sister straight in the eyes and said to her, “No, Julie. Sure that shirt looked so perfect on me and it looked like that it was made for me but Julie, didn’t you looked at the price tag?”
In return, Julie nodded and said to her, “Yeah, I saw it. $75. It wasn’t that expensive.” Jamie disagreed with her and said back to her, “Unless you got your ex-husband’s money in the divorce, and not having three children to support and don’t even talk about Michael either.” Julie crossed her arms when she heard the truth about her and told her that she does know and she wasn’t even wanting to start talking about Jamie’s husband but she told Jamie to get the shirt because it’s an once in a lifetime to find the perfect shirt and let her pay for it since Jamie was worrying about the money and please wear it because it matched her eyes and it might make Michael fall in love with her again.
After hearing that, Jamie took a few moments to herself to think about it and when she was done thinking, she looked up to Julie who was still crossing her arms and looking at the rack where the hanger of the shirt still holding on to and said to her, “Fine, then. Buy the shirt for me.” With a smile on her face, Julie said to her, “Told you so and let get the shirt right away before some woman gets it. Run!” When she said that, some obese woman had her eyes aiming at the shirt and before the woman had her hands on it, Jamie and Julie quickly ran over to the rack, grabbed it, paid for it and went out of the store, just in time for a tug-of-war between the same, obese woman and a smaller woman for another item in the store.
Proud that she made that choice, Jamie smiled at herself while pulling the shirt off it hanger and put it over her bra and camisole. After buttoning it up until it showed some of her cleavage perfectly, Jamie walked back to the mirror and starting examining herself in front of it. Julie was right about the shirt. The blouse looked liked that it had been made for her. It fitted her very well, gave her breasts a little more boost than the push-up bra she was wearing right now, and it matched her eyes very well.
In the background, Jake was saying his first word in his life to his mother, “Pretty!” After hearing that, Jamie smiled at him for saying that to her, and ran over to him. Once she got over to him, Jamie putted him on her lap, and giving him warm hugs and kisses all over his body, she said to her, “Oh, Jake. You had said your first word. I’m so proud of you, baby.” In return, Jake looked up to his Mama with his blue eyes, gave her a huge smile and told her that word again.
Like last time, Jamie hugged her baby son a couple more times and gave him one more last kiss on the forehead before staring at Jake’s blue eyes with her own, Jamie asked him, “Hey, Jake. Since you told me your first word, wanna help Mama pick out some jewelry before we goes and see Sean?” Again, Jake looked up to his mother and gave her another big smile, telling her that he’ll love to.
Five minutes later, with her silver tear-drop earrings on her earlobes, wearing some make-up, and retouching her hair for the second time, Jamie looked at herself at the mirror and smiled at herself, knowing that she looked good with her nice shirt and pants, natural make-up, wearing her favorite earrings, her brown waves framing her face, and that Sean will probably stare at her all during lunch and will smile at her and telling her that she looks beautiful. “Wow, I hadn’t thought of that. When was the last time that Michael ever told me that?” The answer for that was well; she doesn’t want to think anymore because she had like less than fifteen minutes to get to the Royal Diner where she will be having lunch with another man she knew for almost a week now and her child.
Needed to go there right now, Jamie quickly grabbed her black heels, putted them on, walked over to her son who was playing with her purse, grabbed those while saying to Jake, “Jake Thomas, don’t do that!”, Jake was staring at her mother, wondering about what he did that made Jamie mad, and with all of the things she needed with her, Jamie Thomas ran out of the house, got Jake and herself in her car, and putting her feet on the pedals, she drove to the diner to meet Sean Connors.

Dear Well....You,
I love you, you know that? I think your absolutely astounding, and amazing, and I hope you never change. You make my day in every way, and as far as now, you’ve been completely supportive.
I love how when I shiver just a bit, you hand me your sweater.
I love how you kiss my cheek when I blush.
I love you how you smell, and how you taste.
I love how you tell me I’m beautiful, even when I look like crap.
I love how when I’m just the tiniest bit scared, you tell me everything’s going to be alright.
I love how when you speak, sometimes, the most awkwardness things come out, and we joke about it.
I love how when I mess up my words, you tease me about it, but don’t make a big deal.
I love how you kiss me.
I love you completely
Please never change.

Love Me
I sit in the dark. Thinking about Jack. A single tear comes out of my eye, then another. I start to laugh quietly, trying not to wake up my sister. Then, the horrible memory from my awful dream came back to me. I went to the door and paused. I sighed and told myself that nothing is out there but the hallway, the dining room, living room and the kitchen. I took out my phone from my jacket and looked at the time. It's 5:59. I rolled my eyes and opened and closed the door quietly and sat on the soft couch. I started to drift into thoughts about Degrassi, and what it would be like if I went there. Then, a black figure moved across the kitchen. Spooked, I quickly walked to my aunts' laptop and looked up some funny videos on youtube.com to keep m off track from the figure. Hours passed, and I am still freaked. Ten minutes later, I calm down and look up some more funny stuff. Ugh! I must be haluccinating from lack of sleep. I rubbed my eyes and went back to my bedroom and passed out.
