Chapter Sixteen

The next day and after Church, Sean came over to see the girls and while seeing him playing happily with the girls and with Boyd on the right side of her chair, Jamie was thinking about breaking Mac’s promise and going ahead with the dinner together with Sean but she couldn’t because she promised her little girl and don’t want to see her heart being broken and so will Michael if he finds out about the dinner with Sean and his wife.

Also, when Sean turned to her and gave her a slight grin on his face before heading back with the girls, Jamie also smiled at him and after seeing Sean getting attacked by two little girls; Jamie felt a frown on her face. She did that because she didn’t tell Sean that she doesn’t want to have the dinner with her for the sakes of her family.

She doesn’t know what words to use to tell him. This is very important to her because it depends on the words. If she uses the bad words in a sentence like ‘I don’t want to have the dinner with you, Sean because people will find out about it and it will break their hearts if we do that. Sorry.’ It will break Sean’s heart instead and Jamie is very worry that he might cry in front of her and she had to comfort him just like at the diner and that was hard! But she uses the good words and everything will be the same before having that conversation with Mac, Jamie Thomas had no idea what will happen next and she doesn’t want to think about it. She needed some help with this and she had the right person to do that job. Her sister.

On Monday, after dropping Mac at her school and Izzie at her preschool and for the day, Jake is going to daycare no matter what if Jake is crying for his Mama for the whole day and driving the women there crazy, Jake had to live with that, Jamie went to her workplace to get her things for the day and once she dropped them into her office to do them later, Jamie went to her bedroom to put on the clothes she plans to wear when she walks into the precinct , find him, dump Sean there in front of his colleagues, and leaving him blushing red and embarrassing while getting pick on by his colleagues for getting dumped by a beautiful, smart, professional woman. “That sounded nice!” thought Jamie when she thought about it and looked at her mirror to check herself out in the outfit that will break Sean Connors’s heart.

The moment she was dressed in her white blouse tucked into her black pencil skirt while wearing black heels on her feet, silver and teal-stoned drop earrings on her earlobes, and a matching necklace around her neck with her wavy brown hair in a loose bun and wearing some make-up of thirty minutes of preparing for this moment, Jamie went downstairs to get her black blazer to wear over her outfit and grabbed her purse. Once she was all done with that, Jamie checked all of the doors to see if all of them were locked and the moment she did that, Jamie smiled at herself and walked to the front door, get through it, and once she locked that door, a beautiful, smart and somewhat professional woman named Jameson Anne Brennan Thomas walked down the stairs and headed to the yoga studio where Julie is at right now and once Jamie get over there, the class could be ending and could stop by and get to talk to Julie before she leaves the neighborhood.

Ten minutes later, Jamie was a building away from the yoga studio when she saw Julie leaving there, carrying her yoga mat and wearing a grey hoodie and burgundy yoga pants while carrying her designer purse, her light brown hair in a ponytail while heading to her car, to stop her from leaving, with her high heels, Jamie ran over to her while yelling to her, “Julie, wait!”

Hearing her name, Julie closed the trunk and looked around to see who was calling her name and the moment she saw that, a smile had appeared on her face and said to her sister who had caught up to her with pain on her feet, “Oh, hello Jamie. You look very lovely today. You are a thousand miles from the highway of ‘not letting yourself go’.”

Jamie stared at her baby sister when she heard that and said to her, “Yeah, I am that and I know that this is last minute but do you want to have coffee or lunch with me because I needed your help with something.”

Staring at Jamie with a smile on her face, Julie said to her, “Sure, I love to have coffee with you while helping you out. What’s it?” Looking around to see if anybody who knew Jamie and her family is around her and it looked that there are none around them, Jamie sighed to herself and looked at Julie’s green eyes and answered to her, “Can’t tell you now and will tell you at the café. Okay with that?”

“Yeah that I am fine with that but with one thing.” said Julie whose hand on the trunk. With a look on her face because she want to do it right away, Jamie asked her a question. “What is it, now?” Right away, Julie told her that she had accidently put her purse in the trunk before locking it and had to get it out for the money in her wallet. Hearing that, Jamie groaned to herself because she was thinking about why Juliette Elizabeth Brennan decided to be a forgettable woman that moment. That will she never knows.

After getting her expensive Prada purse out of her trunk and checking for anything horrible things on the black leather bag with studs all over it like a missing stud, Julie was becoming so annoying to Jamie that Jamie just grabbed her sister’s and started dragging her to the café at the end of the block. Once the both of them got inside, grabbed their Lattes and paid for them, the sisters walked over to a nearby table and the moment the both of them sat down, Jamie told Julie something that had to get out there right away.

Taking a sip of her Latte, Julie put the drink down on the wooden table and staring at her sister’s face with her green eyes and a smile on her face, she asked her, “So, Jamie. Why had you dragged me here while I was checking my bag out for any mistakes to tell me something? Jamie, what’s it?” Giving her little sister an angry look on her face because Julie’s suddenly only caring for her Prada purse right now and wanting to be mad at her for that but couldn’t now, Jamie sighed to herself again and while staring at her sister’s face, Jamie answered the question by saying to her, “Julie, look. I had dragged you here because I needed some help and it’s about me and Sean.”

Julie looked at Jamie and said to her, “Ah, you finally got over your fear…” but quickly figured out what was going and said to Jamie right away, “Oh my God! Wait a minute! Are you and Sean seeing each oth… Oh my God! Oh my God! Oh my God!”

Before Julie becomes all crazy, Jamie stopped her sister by putting her hands on Julie’s shoulders and staring straight at the eyes while saying to her, “Yes, Julie. Sean and I are seeing each other without any reason and before you say anything, Sean and I had sex last Friday right before Michael called me and told me that he’s coming home on Wednesday night. After getting that, I kicked Sean out of my house because I got frustrated about it and planned to not see him again all weekend to get some space between us but he came to Mac’s game last Saturday while you were at the toilets with Ella and Izzie, sat next to me and a few seconds later, boom! Sean asked him out for dinner on Tuesday night and I told him yes and without any thinking, I kissed him so lovely and passionately like one of the kisses I only gives to Michael that Mac saw it from the other side of the field.”

Before Jamie can tell her some more and like Jamie did to her, Julie did the same thing to Jamie by putting her hands on Jamie’s shoulders while looking straight into the eyes and saying to her, “Jamie, that was a whole lot of info but Jamie, tell me. Who else knew about this beside you, Sean, and Mac and wait a minute, how Mac reacted to this?”

Looking at Julie’s green eyes, Jamie told her that counting her; only four people knew about this and said to her about how Mac knew about this, “And after Sean went home and after I put the girls in bed and read them a story, Mac asked me about who I love more, Sean or Michael? I told her Michael but she disagreed with me and asked me if I am now in love with Sean instead of Michael and then, I told her my little mistakes and then, she asked me if Michael is coming home but when I told her the answer, she told me to don’t have dinner with Sean because if Michael finds out about it, it will breaks Michael’s heart and she think that he might come back as that a-hole of a father and a husband and that wasn’t in Mac’s words!” and after saying that, Jamie just cried her tears out.

Seeing that moment, Julie started comforting her strong, older sister who she idolized for years by putting her arms around Jamie’s body and while comforting her, Julie said to her, “Jamie, don’t cry and tell me what happened next.” In return and through the sniffles, Jamie told Julie about everything from comforting Mac in her arms to telling her that she promised her that she’ll tell Sean that she can’t have the dinner with him tomorrow and never again to Mac telling her not to do the not seeing Sean again act and just be friends with Sean and still love Michael to all the way to Mac asking her if she could have Sean instead while begging for it and Jamie thinking that she thinks that Mac Thomas might be having a crush on Sean Connors.

Julie Brennan was smiling when she founded out that her oldest niece might be having a crush on Sean Connors while comforting her sister and asking her, “So, are you doing to do with Sean about this?” Suddenly being very confident about this, Jamie looked at her sister’s face and with no tears on her face but with a smile instead, she said to her, “Julie, once I get over to the precinct, I am going to dump Sean’s ass, tell him to stay away from me, and the moment I am done with that, I am going to leave the place while Sean is blushing red and embarrassing while getting pick on by his colleagues for getting dumped by a beautiful, smart, professional woman who is me!”

“Ooooh that sounded nice!” said a smiling Julie. Jamie nodded to her and said to her sister while smiling, “Yeah, it is.” After smiling at each other and before Jamie can leave the café, Julie told her sister something.

“Jamie Thomas, you needed some mascara to make Sean thinks that you didn’t cried your eyes out earlier. Here?” said Julie who handed Jamie her bottle of mascara. After getting that from her, Jamie agreed and started applied as much as she can.
