Random OUAT Chat: One of My Hopes for Season 3 Pt. 2

So I just wanted to chat to the internet, once again. What I'm going to talk about is related to Swanfire and Captain Swan BUT WAIT, it has very little to do with my opinions about the ships. I'm not going to say anything possibly offensive, I just want to put some of my hopes for this show out there. So even though I ship Swanfire, I have to be honest with myself. Most likely Emma and Hook will be together, the writers have set it up to such an extent that I doubt they won't go with it. Plus a large amount of OUAT fans are CS shippers. They probably wouldn't want to risk losing such an amount of viewership. Even though we ALL know the writers and be unpredictable lol. If CS does happen I just hope that Neal can have his happy ending too. I'm going to quote EvilRegal14 with what she said about Neal cause I thought it was brilliant. "No man will ever be as noble as my Neal. Well maybe Archie, but that’s his job. Neal has been through so much in his life, terrible mother, terrible father, terrible everything. He was alone for 6 months, until the Darlings took him in, then he was taken to Neverland. Alone again. Then the Shadow let him go. So he was alone again, and became a thief. Then he met Emma. He met Henry for the first time in 2x14 and immediately tried to be a good dad to him. He forgave Rumple (why I’ll never know) after he abandoned him and always tries to put his family first. Gold star Neal." This is so true, whether you ship Swanfire or Captain Swan I think it should be known that Neal is one of the most noble characters on the show. His entire life he has sacrificed his own happiness for others. Just think about it, when Rumpel became the dark one and went all cray cray, Neal chose to sacrifice everything he's ever known so his father could be himself again. When that plan backfired, he met the Darlings when their family was in danger of being separated, he sacrificed his nice life with them so they could be together. When he found out that Emma was destined for greatness, he sacrificed his life with her so she could go after her destiny. I mean for Pete's sake he even forgave Rumpel! Isn't that enough for you to like this guy? Out of all the people in this show he is one of the ones who is most deserving of a happy ending.

Evilregal14 Thanks for agreeing with me about Neal. Yeah, whether you ship SF or CS you can't deny it's true. Some CS fans hate Neal simply because he is a threat to their ship.

Diamond_Queen Neal certainly deserves to find his happy ending:) If not with Emma with someone else.

matchesrulezu Well, I might not think he's the most noble character on the show, but I don't dislike his character. I dislike many of his actions and some of his characteristics, but not because he's a threat to my ship. While I don't think he and Emma would be a good couple, I do want him to find a happy ending with someone and I want him to be able to find love again too. I think that is such a strong message to send. That anyone can find love again. That your first isn't your last and that if you lose your first, it's not the end. [i]Anyone[/i] can find love again (Ahem.. Rumple, Regina, Hook..). And I'd like to see that for Neal too.

thisisme365 Agreed, I know he hasn't always made the best decisions, but I think the intention of his decisions is more what I'm going for. I hope that makes sense (I feel like a lot of the time the way I phrase things can be easily misunderstood :P).

DR76 I really can't agree with the assessment that Neal is the most "noble" male character on the show. I don't hate him. But he's simply not a favorite of mine.

So probably you've heard about this drama that happened on twitter, and it really really hurts me to see people being sympathetic to Michael Coleman like he was the victim and JMo and Adam were hard on him because he was misquoted

I kinda like this plot, the guy who you supposed to be with (neal, because I really think he is henry's father and of course if they are together, henry, emma and neal will became a real family), the guy you have crazy sexual tension with (hook, because...I don't need to explain, c'mon look at him!) and the guy who is your best friend (august, let's face it, august always give emma great advice and if there was no curse I bet pinocchio and princess emma will grown...
