Chapter 1: Doing Mother's Deeds
I slipped into the door of the unknowing family. The door creaked as I shut it, by the family was so full of conversation and laughter they wouldn't be able to notice. Gothel had made this too easy for me. This was my second chore today, so I was naturally getting very tired, but I'd do anything for Mother, anything. I walked emotionless into the kitchen where the family sat down for dinner.
They finally notice me. "Woah, how'd you get in here?" the father asks. "Are you lost?" Yes, I was quite lost, but not in the way he was implying.
"I'm sorry," I whispered, tears running down my cheeks. I begin to shake as I roll up my sleeves, revealing what I truly am. This was for mother, this was for mother, was what I kept repeating in my head.
"Daddy, what's wrong with the girl's arms?" the daughter asked. "They look scary, like a bunch of knives or a chain saw?"
"Heidi, take the children, get them out of here." the father said with an edge to his voice. "Now, Heidi. NOW!" That's when I pounced. The dog watched the entire thing, licking up the blood afterwards.
"That's what you get for insulting my mother," I spit at them once I'm done with the job, but no one responds. No one can answer. They're all dead, and I killed them all. Mother knows best though. Whatever she tells me I will do, for she made me and I love her.
