My favorite Disney Princess list! This includes Anna and Elsa.

13. Elsa

She just bothers me. I think she is boring. She isn't boring in the way she doesn't do anything, cause she does. She creates a mess and becomes a diva and just... ARGH! I just find every single thing she does so completely uninteresting. I can't see why she is so loved outside fanpop. I think she should have remained the villain in the plot; I would have liked her more. I think I also would like her more if she didn't sing "Let It Go". In my eyes she is an introvert the whole movie and then randomly sings a song about being free and then goes back to being a quiet indecisive girl. I hate how her powers make her introverted. I get the feeling she doesn't want to be that way, like she's forced to be introverted. That leads me to think that Frozen pass being introverted off as a bad thing. I would love to see Elsa being introverted just because she is that way, not her powers making her. The positive thing I can say about her is that she has a reason to be the way she is, and that reason is called parents. I think there was potential in her that could have made her so much more interesting, and I wish the movie hadn't focused on her being so innocent.

12. Belle

Where do I begin to describe her? I feel Disney tried SO HARD to create the perfect character. She is an outcast, yet desired. She is smart, independent, brave, a bookworm, clever, sarcastic, protective, she stands up for what she believes in. These are all good qualities, but together they just make her so bland to me.. Like they tried to push ten characters into one. I do not see her flaws, at least not the major. She is just so mehh.. to me. When I saw BATB the first time I wasn't watching with an open mind. I really just looked for all the negatives. So I tried to re-watch her movie without being negative, but I couldn't shake off that feeling that Belle is so overrated.

Despite all this, I have really warmed up to Belle. I used to get annoyed when someone thought she was the most wonderful, best, prettiest, and smartest DP. I still kind of do in a way, but not nearly as much as I used to. I just don't care so much anymore since I have gotten used to Belle being loved.

I noticed that she should get more credit for being brave; I think she was even braver than Mulan. I would have peed in my pants if I had to live with a horrifying beast that yelled at me every single time I tried to say something.

11. Aurora
I like Aurora, I do. But she can't be placed above all the others, since I like them more. There is something that makes me interested in her. When she sings I wonder and when she walks in the forest she is so fascinating. I don't know, there isn't so much negative to say about her, but there aren’t so much outstanding things either. Everything is very gentle, very controlled. I think I would have enjoyed her more if she had more screen time.

10. Ariel
I love Ariel. I love when she's adventurous, clever, brave, talented and funny. I especially love her when she can't talk. Don't get me wrong, I find her interesting when she talks and all, but she's just an ordinary character. When she can't talk she shows her emotions and expressions better, she shows just how weird and obsessed she is with the human world. The only thing that bothers me about her is that I feel something’s missing. I feel the Ariel we get to see is just the surface of her. I think there is more to her, but I just don't see it.

9. Cinderella

I admire Cinderella, cause she is who I want to be as a person. She is hard working, she never gives up, she is headstrong and she keeps on believing. When Lady Tremaine does what she can to make Cinderella feel miserable, she just turns the other cheek. I love Cindy very much, and I feel bad for putting Cinderella down here. I just love the others more.

8. Snow White

Snow White is a character you look at once and think one thing about, then you look at her again and you see a total different person. She was abused as a child, which makes an impact on who she is. Many people (outside of Fanpop) seem to think of her as a perfect Mary Sue, a character made for her time and not a very interesting, rather dull character. I think she is one of the DP's with the most intriguing personalities. I think if you analyze Snow White you would see how every thing she does, every action is more than it really is. Many DP's are very out there, it isn't hard to see what they feel. I think Snow White shows a lot of depth, and that's why I love her. It actually pains me to place her here, but I cant put her any higher.

7. Mulan

Mulan is so hard to place. I think I need to re-watch he movie. I love her personality in the beginning of the movie; she tries so hard to fit in, but fails anyway. She sacrifices a lot, she is very brave. Her decision scene is very beautiful. Like many of the other princesses, she changes throughout the movie. Unlike many of the other princesses, I think she wanted to change. She made the decision to change for her father. She was determined to save her father. She wanted to succeed. People didn't believe in her so she tried even harder. For example, Rapunzel, Merida and Ariel all go through things were they are put in different situations and change who they are. They did not change drastically; they smoothly became a more complex and well-rounded characters. I think that Mulan sacrifices herself and who she is for her father, and that’s something very admirable. Suddenly Mulan isn't clumsy, she isn't trying so hard to fit in. That is a big sacrifice. She was the hardest of all to place, I really want her to be higher, but at the same time I think she should be lower.

6. Anna

When I first watched Frozen I wasn't really expecting anything from her. I thought she would be a celebrity voice with a character lip-syncing next to it and a copy of Rapunzel. And I guess she kind of is in a way, but it doesn't bother me. The thing about my passion for Anna is that it didn't last that long. I still love her, but you know that feeling when you love a character so much that you get the feeling you two are best friends and that you are proud of him/her? You feel like there is something that makes him/her yours? I used to feel some ting along the lines of that for Anna, now I just love her. But I really do love her. She is bubbly and awkward, brave and interesting. I think Anna's childhood affected her very much; I think she would have turned out very different if she hadn't been treated that way. The only thing that prevents her from being higher is how her movie portrayed her. I wish it put her in more difficult positions. I wish she would have to make the decision between Hans and Kristoff herself. I wish she got angry at Elsa, I wish her movie wouldn't focus so much on Elsa being innocent, rather focus on how she hurt her sister. I wish she would have some moments where she would really think about what she and the other characters really had done rather than just moving on to the next scene.

5. Tiana

I imagine creating Tiana was really hard. The last Disney princess was way back in 1998 if you count Mulan, or way back to 1992 if you don't. They had a lot of people to please. They had to create a great character, and the fact that she is african-american made it worse. People expected lot from Disney, and at the same time they couldn't be racist or make her too stereotypical. She had to be something that people hadn't seen before, but she couldn't be too different, too out of Disney's style. I think they did a great job. Though she is kind of predictive, she is a fresh and new character with something different to bring to the lineup. She is entertaining to watch, she is a good role model, and she has so many traits I wish I had. I think she should get more appreciation outside of fanpop. I think she is one well-rounded character.

3./4. Jasmine/Rapunzel (Tie)

I just can't choose. The other day I was convinced Rapunzel was winning over Jas, and the next one Jasmine was getting the upper hand. They're both so wonderful, yet very different. The solution: a tie.

Jasmine:

I fell in love with her the second I watched Aladdin. I used to think she was an overrated DP and that she was just Aladdin's girl, nothing more. People say that they think she isn't all that independent since she keeps forgiving Aladdin. I think she is brave for trusting someone, for letting them in. The thing about Jasmine is that she leaves a mark after her. She stands out, she tells people her opinion, and she wants them to know when things are not okay. I think she puts a wall around her to protect her from people she doesn't know, but once she lets those walls down it is hard to not love her.

Rapunzel

Rapunzel is one princess I expected to dislike. I remember when everyone was crazy about her and I wasn’t. I re-watched her movie, and I got very surprised. I love her character development. She was abused for 18 years of her life, which makes her insecure and shy. Once she's out of the tower she lets her guards down. She shows who she really is; she is a passionate, adventurous and headstrong woman. My favorite scene of her is when she finally stands up to Gothel. She lets all her anger and frustration out on the one person in her life that was kind to her before she left, and when she realizes Gothel has been lying to her and helping her captive, not protecting her, she does what has to be done. I think that was one moment that defined her. We are told she's a good leader, which means she isn't all clumsy and awkward. I think she is a very lovable character, at least for me.

2. Merida
I waited quite a while to watch Brave and I have no idea why. It ended up being one of my favorites and having one of my favorite DP's in it. I was just doing nothing at home, waiting for something to happen. I noticed that Netflix had Brave, so I decided to check it out. And I was amazed. I was intrigued at once. Merida is passionate, honest, and rebellious; I feel a lot like her. People say that Merida was selfish when she turned her mother into a bear. I don't think so. For starters, she didn't know that it would happen. She had plenty of reasons to do it. Her mother had been training her to get married her whole life. She wasn't getting any space to be who or do what she wanted. She didn't intend to change her mother, and that wasn't her first solution either. She competed to win her own hand before going to that witch. WOODCARVER. Elinor also burned her bow, which she used for archery; one of the things she felt secure about, one of the things she could be herself while doing. Her character development is one of the best, and I think she iid a very fascinating character. I have so much respect for Meri, I really think she is a great role model, learning kids that they can be brave, and let people know when they are treated unfair and also not have a love interest when they don't want to.

1. Pocahontas

ASJGDIKEBFWPEOHBSEUILOD I LOVE HER SO MUCH

Recently, this girl has taken over my heart. She has been my favorite for a while; I am now convinced that she will remain my favorite DP for a very long time. I love everything about her. I love that she is daring, adventurous and passionate, but at the same time very majestic and concerned of how her actions make a difference. She is afraid to choose the wrong path, and that makes her do things she has to think about. I can relate to her so much right now, I feel kind of lost and overall confused. I can't get enough of this girl! I have so many reasons to love Pocahontas, I think I will explain more in another article. She is everything I want in a character. Brave, smart, passionate, understanding, loving, funny, a good-role model. I love her for having flaws, but also embracing them. In my opinion she's got that something extra. I adore her so much. You know that feeling I described earlier? The one where you feel like she's your character? And that you are proud of her? That is the way I feel about Poca.

11. Snow White
All the princesses' faces have something pretty about them, but Snow White's face is just a little generic for my tastes. I mean, she has lovely brown eyes and rosy cheeks, but that doesn't save her from last place.
Pleasant features: Sweet eyes, ruby lips
Unpleasant features: Slightly chubby face, too generic

PHILOSOPHY MAJOR

Probably not what you’re expecting, but I hope to show that Aurora is very suited to philosophy.

To begin with, in Aurora's bedroom - if we look closely - we will see that she has two books. Being the 14th century (a century before Gutenberg's printing press) not only would books be very expensive and rare but literacy rates were very low - even lower considering her demographic: sixteen, female, peasant. By having books at this time, education / knowledge is extremely important in the household...

If you have any disagreements, I would LOVE to debate about this in the comments so feel free to state your opinions.

Team 1989?
Hello everyone, as I did for previous Disney Princess reboots, here is a comparison of the 1989 animated film with its 2023 live action reboot. With that being said, let's dive in!

The Storyline

While the storyline is faithful to the 1989 animated feature, I was very happy that there are several scenes that actually filled in the plot hole. Like we get to see Prince Eric's adopted mother and their relationship between mother and son. tied
Speaking of parental relationship, Ariel's relationship with her dad remains the same, except that in the animated feature. King Triton is a very hot tempered...

6) Makeover glittery and patterned dress

This is better than the last one but still over-the top. This time it's the gold patterns on the skirt. There's too many patterns. The bodice part is more. subtle with a singular pattern on the side. I like that. But the shiny blue sleeves are distracting. Too shiny. Her headband is...
