As you can tell by the title, this article will be on the negative side but I just wanted to make things clear on my issues with these Princesses. It's just like how I would write my favorite Disney Princesses list article but I tried something different and focused on my bottom placements, so I won't bore the hell out of you :P

Merida

I like how Merida's flaws are portrayed in a negative light, Brave truly acknowledges them. And boy does she have a lot, she even does the unthinkable trying to poison her mom. The fact that she did that disturbs me a bit but I'm all for going to extremes to show how much a character develops. And her development is most definitely not rushed, it's very believable. I also like that she doesn't change to fit others' expectations and wants to be in control. Although it is done abruptly, she did redeem herself by making that speech and it looked as if she genuinely tried to make things right again with Elinor, seeing where she came from. Props to her for that, GOOD SPEECH! I also like that she truly is unconventional looking. Usually when the animators want to design a Princess with flawed features, they are so minor. Merida actually has an egg shaped head, no apparent eyelashes and really curly hair. Unfortunately, the creators were trying way too hard to break the Princess mold and it looks as if it was only to please extreme ''feminists''. It's a big issue because it puts down other girls with girly interests and I cannot look past that. Plus, this is the first time Pixar makes a female lead and she is so unoriginal compared to all the other ones. They decided on a Princess and an anti-princess at that who doesn't want to get married.

Aurora

I like Aurora's personality, she's just a nice girl who obeyed the people who took care of her her entire life. Although I think she chose duty more because she's spineless <---Flaw right thuuur, see Aurora's not too perfect. I think being passive is one of the worst traits a person can have though. There are good characteristics about her too, I don't necessarily care for them but still, sure she's shy, dreamy, romantic, etc. But I think there are greater qualities to admire or relate to with the other Princesses. Again, it's all about personal taste so if that's what floats your boat.

Belle

What a drop! Starting with the things I like, she's not superficial which is always a plus. She knows what she wants in life, sets her standards and only acts up when things live up to her expectations which not many are capable of doing, good for her. Now onto why Belle is losing her charm on me. I'm not going to call her a Mary Sue because none of the Princesses are and people need to stop throwing that word around like confetti. And no, she's not flawless either, she's an intellectual snob or a snobby bookworm whichever you prefer. What she is though is an over the top idealized and universally relatable character. The reasons why she is an outcast is ridiculous, everything is justified with the time period. Because you know back then women couldn't have minds of their own, now reading automatically means you're smart. 324anna called her some sort of hipster which explains things. I haven't had good experience with some of those people ''Look at me, I'm so non-mainstream and underground'' ughhhh.

Elsa

Contrary to a lot of Elsa ''haters''(I like her btw), she doesn't bore me at all, I just think she is the worst role model of all the Princesses and it's not because she has anxiety but more how she handles it. Her take on it is realistic, I'll give her that. Gurl, I know the struggle of thoughts in your head eating you up alive! The problem is that she keeps thinking she finally has it all together and goes back to how she used to be: incapable of facing her problems and drowning in her own snowstorms. She only realizes at the end that l-o-v-e is the answer and that just makes me think how her character could have been done ''better''. Honestly, I want to love Elsa because of all the potential her character has but with what's there, ''I've got a blank space baby and I'll write her name''.

Rapunzel

Okay you've heard this before but I completely agree with all of the complaints. First of all, Rapunzel's flaws are never shown in a negative light and things come too easily to her as she never had to work for anyone's affection, not even the villain's. Another example is when the thugs started liking her immediately after the one-liner ''Haven't any of you had a dream?'' then one of them says to Flynn ''Your dream stinks, I was talking to her'' way to crush other people's dreams while making someone else's seem superior. Also, I can't tell what her defining characteristic trait is, she has far too many quirks which make her character feel inorganic. However, I like how relatable she is. How she's scared that what she's been yearning for her entire life might not be what she expected, wondering when life will take its turn on her and how affected she is by Flynn leaving. While I've argued how I think Anna is a better character than Rapunzel is. I will admit that Rapunzel is the better role model, because when isolated, she got involved in activities that interest her while Anna was incredibly unproductive.

Of course I didn't like the Princesses for the right reasons, I was only a kid (6-12). But I thought this would be a good idea since lists evolve with time. I did not watch all of the DP movies as a kid but I did know all the Princesses, discussing with my friends and all. Just letting you know, I will often say ''I loved'' in this article haha.

8. Pocahontas
I thought the movie was a snore fest, since it was history-based and history was by far my least favorite subject. I also thought Pocahontas was really odd-looking. In fact, my friends told me I looked like her and I got slightly offended....

I haven't done an article on Fanpop at all yet.
Since this place is the most active, I decided to do one here first.

13.Aurora- I CANNOT stand her. She is so boring, and I don't even know if she has a personality! Maybe she is just a clone of the real Aurora. Sleeping Beauty was good though, although it would have been better if Maleficent hurt Aurora more. Hopefully the Aurora in Maleficent will be more entertaining.

12. Snow White- I know she is getting a lot of love. I dont know why. She is so bossy and manipulative. I hate how in the movie, she bosses the dwarves around and tells them what...
