Stargate Universe Question

What's the date and year the series is suppose to be in? I mean is it suppose to be right after Atlantis landed on Earth in Stargate Atlantis? I was just wondering. Hopefully, someome can help me out.

Lets be honest the series is rubbish, in Pegasus & the Milky way a gate can take you to any Stargate in the Galaxy yet in SGU the ship has to be near a gate to work on of many inconsistencies I wish they would remove the STARGATE tag!

Destiny is supposed to be the first gate the ancients made it wouldn't make sense if it worked better than later models, everything on this ship predates the technology from SG1 and SGA, that's part of the story, that all these scientists are having to deal with older technology it would be like use one of the first apple computers and trying to surf the web.

the gates are in clusters, the hip drops out of ftl when its near a cluster.

The Stargate Universe is a great idea but all the different Stargate series are intertwined with each other. Meaning all going on at the same time; The earth Stargate has Daniel, Sam & Tealc' are fighting the ancient's vs earth!! While the Atlantis Stargate with Sheppard, Teyla, Rodney McKay Ronon and everyone else is still battling the Wraith and others in Atlantis! At one time a crossover episode with Stargate Universe was planned. But they're all mixed together during the sametime! I could say more but I think you get it!
