"Wha.... how could they have found out?" the hero thought to himself staring with a dead expression on his face, they heard a knock on the door "Are you okay?" asked the girl getting up to check the door, the hero sat there frozen in fear only hearing a faint voice "Boy listen to me... I know we haven't gotten off on the right foot but if you don't escape we will both be captured so move boy!" said the voice in his head, the hero couldn't believe what he was hearing was it the demon with-in him asking nicely? the hero shook his head in confusion "Why should I listen to you? you're trying to take my soul." the hero thought to himself trying to communicate with the inner demon, the voice went silent "It's true if I don't escape then I'm trapped and could be killed...." thinking to himself as he got up and headed for the back door "Where are you going?" asked the girl stopping right before opening the door "I have to go..." replied the hero opening the back door only looking back to get a clear view of the girl's beautiful brown eye's "Wait!" exclaimed the girl running towards the back door but only getting half way before the church knocked down the door "Freeze!" exclaimed one of the church officer's holding a crossbow, the girl stopped dead in her track's "We know you are harboring a demon with-in you're midst now tell us where is it!" asked the church priest entering the house "I have no idea what you're talking about." replied the girl turning around to find out who the priest was come to find out it was her father "Father!" replied the girl in shock "Lilly! what are you doing here?" replied the Priest surprised "I was coming to see if everyone was okay..... but the old man... died from a heart attack." she said running to her father. Lilly's Father also known as Albegine who is the head priest for the main church in Lumin has had confrontations with demon's many of time's in his life, the reason why demon's are not allowed in Lumin is because of a scared stone known as Lumin which the town was named after because of the stone's powers to make life which has brought the town many years of bountiful crops but the demons wish to take this stone using it for evil deeds. However the town is guarded by a holy barrier which let's the church know if a demon is in the town also killing any demons that try to enter, "Lilly please go back to the church it's not safe here." said Albegine as he moved Lilly out of the way to go after the demon "No father... there are no demons here!" replied Lilly in anger as stepped in-front of Albegine "Wha... why Lilly you would defend a demon?" asked Alnegine in shock "There is no demon here father I'm trying to tell you this but you won't listen as always!" Lilly exclaimed glaring at Albegine "What do you mean Lilly I always listen to.." Albegine was inturrpted by Lilly "No you don't, don't lie to me again father!" Lilly argued with her father untilone of the officer's grabbed her and took her to the church "Damn-it father don't do this again!" exclaimed Lilly as she flayed about recklessly "Stupid child." muttered Albegine with a smirk on his face as he continued on the hero's trail. Later on that night the hero had reached the city gate wondering if he should leave this town seeming that he has caused enough trouble "Damn-it!" exclaimed the hero striking a tree in anger "Wha...what should I do?" he asked himself placing one hand on the city gate "Boy... we must get as far away from this town as possible... it's not safe here for our kind." replied the inner demon ".... why are you helping me all of a sudden?" asked the hero "Because boy you are my vessel and if you die I die." replied the inner demon as he manifested himself in-front of the hero "You see what happens when you reside in dark art's boy.... but if you want to see tomorrow you will listen to me." said the demon as he made his way back into the hero "Damn! he's right...." the hero thought to himself as he sat by the gate for a quick break gazing at the street light's that riddled the town.
It’s the color of you
You always wore it
It’s the color we shared
As we hid from them
With it we showed our true selves,
Though no one cared
Our orange book bags
Were our shields from some of the pain
We protected each other
But it wasn’t enough
We were like two orange crayons
When everyone else was green
Then you left me alone,
All I had was our color orange
As they hit me
I took peace in knowing
You were in the orange field in the sky
You always said was there.
The orange of the sun set
Is your smile
Even though you left too soon
Orange…
Now it’s my color
My way of remembering you
Now I am the lone orange in the rainbow
Without you here
I protect my own
Though I wish you were here
Now orange is my color
A color for your bravery
A color for my survival
Orange will forever be our color
Even though death took you away
Forever orange for you,
Sweet Cassidy.
