Has anyone else noticed that people are becoming less and less creative, and or diverse?
When we were all small children no matter where you went people were constantly telling you, that you can be whatever you want to be. And you believed them!
Children when they go to a party don't ever seem to become embarrassed of anything. Your clothes could be full of dirt and nobody would care. Yet as we start to get older we seem to become more and more self conscious, why is that?
This has become most evident among young people today, every where you look there are people taking pictures of themselves. People don't even interact when they go out it seems like half the day they spend taking photos the other half they are on their phones.
Instigram is a program dedicated just to that taking photos and videos. I can predict that next generation shall be generation self obsessed!
The education systems in most countries are not helpful either, education is mainly geared towards ticking off very specific targets. History students are having to adapt their writing styles in order to gain full marks. If you clearly know the information and you are capable of demonstrating your argument clearly then what is the problem?
Think about it most people when they read history books the biggest complaint is that the writing style in which history books are written is not very engaging. If there were a larger verity of writing styles for the same topic perhaps more people would be interested.
The only purpose for setting such specific targets is to make it more difficult to pass, but as a result it is promoting that everyone becomes the same. People state that so called 'learning disorders' are on the rise, but how are they actually measuring that? People think differently and have different skills and not all of these skills are being recognized.
Some people have better verbal skills, others practical skills, yet all of our exams are done written. The fact is you might know a lot, you might be an extremely intelligent human being but if you are not good at putting your thoughts to paper then in the world of academics you have basically had it!
It happens in the media too, everyone wants a flawless face, tanned skin and anything else that can be considered in fashion. Someone once told me that 'fashion is a concept so ugly that we must change it every six months'.
And what happens to those that don't like the current fashion? How many times have you gone on the internet and in the comments section there is someone calling someone an 'Emo'.
As if it is an insult so these people like to dress differently and listen to different music, what about any of that is insulting (before people comment by saying that emos cut themselves, that is actually a negative stereo type, self harm is a result of bullying not of the kind of music people listen to).
At the end of the day we are all human beings with our own unique gifts and in today's society these gifts are not able to truly reach their full potential not necessarily because people are nit trying hard enough, but because there are very few opportunities for these abilities to be properly harnessed and tested. Perhaps the reason many people are sick and tired of school of life in general is a result of all of the issues previously mentioned. Fact is we are all stuck in this meat grinder we all go in being something unique and amazing and come out being as close to the ideal product, with nothing that truly stands out.
Please leave your own opinions bellow as I am interested to compare experiences. Thank you for your time!

I know what happened,
I know that your parents are divorced,
because I was the first
you told.
I want to help you,
but I don't know
what all that
pressure
and sorrow feels like.
Like you're drowning
in a pool of tears
and your friends
are just watching and
laughing,
like it's a joke.
But it's not a joke,
it's your life.
They aren't even
your friends,
they are just people
who say they earned
that title.
I don't understand.
My parents aren't
divorced,
they don't fight
every time when
they see each
others face.
I can't help.
But you're
my friend.
My best
friend.
And I will
try to help.
I will stand by
your side even when
we are miles away.
Because even though
it might not feel like it,
you are never
alone.
